Fabulous place in a beautiful village. We were given instructions for self check in and they opened the restaurant just for guests, which was excellent as minimal places to eat. The food was fabulous and the lady serving was very friendly. Comfortable room.

First of all, I arrived well after the start of check in, but the hotel was locked up. When I phoned the hotel number it just went straight to answerphone - not a lot of use. I then spent 10 minutes webchatting to the Expedia bot going round in circles - it kept saying the same thing - before I got to a human. Eventually it was sorted and the owner woke up(literally) and came to the door. No apology and he even wanted to charge extra for breakfast. Not impressed. To make matters worse, I decided to have dinner at the hotel. I went and sat down at a table, and the owner came to take an order from another couple. He said he'd get me a menu then promptly disappeared to do some cooking. No menu, no drink, so I went to have dinner in the town. Also, there was no hot water. Not the way to run a hotel. Avoid!

We randomly chose this hotel as it was a halfway point to our next destination. It was a marvelous surprise. It is a 13th century cleric house. However old it does have heat , plumbing, heat pump for comfort. Lots of hot water in the shower. It offers complimentary breakfast. There is also a small restaurant on site but did not use it. It was probably our favorite hotel during our two week visit to Spain. A great change from chain hotels.
