Comfort Suites Gatlinburg Downtown-Convention Center

Das Hotel war eines der schönsten in den letzten Jahren unserer USA Roadtrips. Aber das Frühstück ist die reinste Katastrophe. Der Kaffee ist Wasser wo man spüren könnte das Kaffee Geschmack dabei wäre. Das Besteck so dünn, wenn man versucht Butter auf den Toast zu streichen knickt es weg. Also das passt überhaupt nicht zum gesamten Hotel Konzept und sollte sich schnellstens ändern. Ansonsten war am Empfang Kumar ein ganz netter Mensch. Wirklich ein gepflegtes und modernes Hotel.

Breakfast was not ready at 7:12am on our first day. I asked where utensils were for the eggs, worker from front desk took way too long to obtain them. I’m guessing he was covering someone who was late?? Either way, the waffle station was not ready either. No cooking spray (needed for waffle iron), no mess tray below the waffle irons, none of the irons seemed to be working for some reason (they worked on other days when we ate breakfast later). I made a mess and waffle was barely cooked correctly with 0 help from staff. The coffee is really, really bad. Rooms were barely cleaned everyday. Just the bare min was done which is fine. If you want a hotel for a good price this place is it. It was clean enough, quiet and very convenient. We saw bears outside the parking garage. Don’t expect breakfast being ready at 7!

Our room was clean. The only issue was the bathtub would not fill up due to the plug missing the seal. Our room had a note saying the hotel was “green” and that housekeeping would only be in on the third day unless requested sooner, however, when we returned to the room the second day housekeeping was there changing our linens. The room didn’t have a do not disturb sign or we would have used it as we appreciate the goal to conserve and did not need fresh linens. We unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy breakfast either morning as it doesn’t start until 7 and we were up early to hike.

Very spacious, modern and comfortable rooms. Like others have said, the parking is tight, but this wasn’t an issue and staying during the week in a less busy season the lot was only half full anyway. Only minor complaint is the snacks/sundries and laundry seemed exorbitantly expensive. Recommend just walking down the street to the Walgreens for snacks and sodas. Otherwise nice hotel in a convenient location, would stay here again!
