The Majlis Hotel - Colaba Mumbai

I was skeptical about this hotel when first viewing it online. I had been to India before and burned by photos that do not represent current conditions at the hotel. That was not the case at Majlis. The hotel is not new and shows its age, but it is really good by local standards. The general neighborhood is also safe and vibrant, and includes plenty of shops and restaurants within a short walk. The staff was very kind and helpful, and always welcomed me back with a smile. I would definitely stay at Majlis again.

Rooms are nice and clean but there is a lot of noise coming in from the corridors. Hotel is unconventional as on the 4F, facilities look better in the pictures than real, from the road there is only an elevator and a sign.

Room was in good condition. Staff very nice and friendly. However on 2 nights there was no hot water and upstairs there was a banging sound that went on for hours. I think upstairs on the roof they were moving furniture or playing loud music . Also some of your towels was not soft . Felt like sandpaper.

Super Deluxe room sizes very small

I arrived at 3am in the morning from a very long flight + it was very first time in India. I booked the hotel for the date I arrived but stupidly I failed to realise the check in wouldn’t be until 3pm. The receptionist told me all the rooms were fully booked for the night. He told me not to worry and I can stay in the reception lobby until the morning, a soon as a guest left in the morning they got the room ready for me🙏 I thought this was a very nice gesture of the hotel
