On at least one website I looked at it mentioned a luxury spa with a large whirlpool and sauna There was one at the end of our building but the whirlpool was empty and the room was filled with old mattresses and furniture. There was a gourmet restaurant mentioned, but it appeared to have been closed for a long time, The main building was dirty and smelled very musty. Owners had very little English speaking ability and even less French. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Should get a refund for at least half the price. Very disappointing.

The pictures are grossly inaccurate and misleading. There is no cozy living room or bright breakfast room. The gardens are overgrown and the buildings are deteriorating. There are tacky plastic flowers outside the main entrance and weeds everywhere. Our small porch was very dirty. The staff were friendly and polite, but I don’t believe they were being genuine about their renovation plans for the property. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable. But, I had expected an elegant older property from the photos, and was very disappointed. I understand now why the rooms are inexpensive.

Le personnelle parlait pas le français et en en anglais c’était limite. J’ai u l’impression qu’ils sont en train de faire des réno mais l’état des lieux actuel laisse à désirer. Je peux comprendre que les propriétaires veulent faire des efforts mais ils faut qu’ils parlent français comme il faut et les bâtiments soient vraiment en ordre.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nuage Hotel. I had originally booked for 2 nights, but as we liked the place we decided to stay an extra night. It is an ideal location for exploring the surrounding area. We were able to visit Île aux Coudres, Malbaie, and Tadoussac. When we arrived, the room was very clean, comfortable and charming. The place has a lot of character, it’s one of the oldest historic buildings in the area, from what I’ve read. We were able to enjoy the beautiful view of the river to start the new year off right! Some common areas appeared to be under renovation during our stay at the hostel, so they were not accessible at that time. I can’t wait to go back and stay there during the summer season to see what it will be like! When I returned to town, I realized that I had forgotten some valuable personal belongings, and the lady in charge was very friendly, she was very quick and responsive to help me retrieve my belongings. I really appreciated his help! Thank you very much for your stay at the Nuage hotel, we will be back!

It appears the property is being taken over by a young couple working to revive it. The various cottages and buildings are in rough shape. The lawns are mess and photos shown are deceptive. The breakfast is limited at best. Our room was very clean, however not made up on our second day. Too much work and not enough staff.

Not sure if the staff spoke English but they certainly dis mot speak French and had a hard time making out my name as reserved. The room appeared to be in the middle of a renovation. It was located right across from the reception desk and public bathroom. Carpet was dingy and stapled to the floor. A live wire hung from the wall in the bathroom. No backup toilet paper, kleenex or hair dryer. The curtains were hanging 6" at least from the windows so the porch lights shone brightly inside at night. The air conditioning unit was not installed. There is more but I will leave it at that.

Ne réservez pas à cette auberge. Les propriétaires ont changé et la nouvelle administration ne parle ni français ni anglais. La propreté laisse grandement à désirer : à notre arrivée, les lits étaient si fripés que nous nous sommes demandé s'ils avaient été changés. La douche était également sale. De plus, il y avait une forte odeur nauséabonde chaque fois que nous tirions la chasse d'eau, probablement à cause d'une fosse septique non vidée. Pour couronner le tout, après notre départ, l’auberge a facturé 60 $ sur ma carte de crédit sans mon approbation, prétendant couvrir des frais Expedia. Nous avons contacté Expedia, qui a confirmé que cette pratique est illégale. Malgré nos demande les propriétaires de l'auberge a refusé de nous rembourser! ***À ÉVITER***

I'm sharing photos to demonstrate the true state of the place, and because I've noticed that the owners respond viciously to honest Google reviews. The hotel no longer looks like the old photos; there are new owners. First of all, the exterior is poorly maintained. And inside... I warn you to avoid this hotel. The rooms aren't cleaned between guests. As you can see, the shower was very dirty. The towels were folded, but dirty and wet, as if they had given us the used towels of the previous guests. I've stayed in hostels that were 1/3 the price and 10x cleaner. The floorboards were so dirty you couldn't walk without slippers, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable, and the room had a damp smell that persisted even with the windows open. The owners speak very little French or English, making it impossible for us to be understood. We kindly asked for fresh towels, but the owner was rude to us, telling us there weren't any more. So she put our towels in the dryer and then gave them back to us, still wet and unfolded. We couldn't stay a second night. We booked another hotel. Please check out the photos, as you will see I am not exaggerating.

When we arrived in the room the bathroom was dirty like it’s not been clean since the last visitor was there. Dirty towels, toothpaste in the sink, booger on the wall, black dirt in the bath tub.. Very disgusting and when we told this to the manager, she offer another room for the night. We took a look in the other room but surprisingly it was dirty too, not as much as the first one, they don’t have a high standard to clean the room. We quit after the visit of the second room, stay far from this hotel !! Don’t waste you time and money.

Les employés parle peu francais ni anglais. Difficile de ce faire comprendre Coulisse sur les murs, les draps sentaient la friteuse,il y avait des cheveux qui netait pas les nôtres et il y avait des tâches jaunes dans le lit. Le rideaux de douche etait mangé par la moisissure...

Hôtel has no air conditioning just a fan. Pictures are showing a very nice new hotel,but not accurate. Not soundproof at all we had to listen to voices all night.

Il semble que cet hôtel soit devenu partie d'une chaîne? Il manque sérieusement d'un gérant dans la place. Les deux personnes à l'accueil étaient incapables de comprendre ce que nous leur disions, que ce soit en français ou en anglais. Des tas de colis encombraient le petit salon. Notre chambre donnait directement sous la Route 138.

The receptionist is a chinese woman who does not know how to communicate in French or in English. This was a problem because there were many problems for my reservation. I asked for 2 regular beds and I only got 1 regular bed. There was a small bed for children but the mattress was so old that it was sliding and was not confortable, The lady told me that there was air conditioning, which was not the case. In the end I paid $285 for a room that was only worth $150 when I compare with the competition. This hotel needs a true bilingual receptionist that understand what the customers are saying. My friend and I did not understand the rceptionist becausxe she was unable to communicate properly.

On nous a fait attendre à l’accueil parce que les propriétaires s’engueulaient… en chinois. D’ailleurs ils ne parlent à peu près pas français, un peu anglais, sont hyper stressés, donc impossible d’avoir de l’information. Au déjeuner, les tables ne sont pas débarrassées, donc on a dû se monter une table nous-mêmes et lorsque qu’il n’y a plus eu de café dans la machine à café, il a été impossible de trouver quelqu’un pour la remplir. De plus ils nous ont chargé la chambre 2 fois et nous avons dû exiger un remboursement, non sans problème.
On nous a fait attendre à l’accueil parce que les propriétaires s’engueulaient… en chinois. D’ailleurs ils ne parlent à peu près pas français, un peu anglais, sont hyper stressés, donc impossible d’avoir de l’information. Au déjeuner, les tables ne sont pas débarrassées, donc on a dû se monter une table nous-mêmes et lorsque qu’il n’y a plus eu de café dans la machine à café, il a été impossible de trouver quelqu’un pour la remplir. De plus ils nous ont chargé la chambre 2 fois et nous avons dû exiger un remboursement, non sans problème.

This was lovely and we were able to stay two nights. It was very special. The room was as advertised, clean, and perfect for our needs. We traveled to the area to take the tour at Les Jardins de Quartre-Vents. This Auberge was so conveniently close to the jardins and was in a wonderful area to explore.

On at least one website I looked at it mentioned a luxury spa with a large whirlpool and sauna There was one at the end of our building but the whirlpool was empty and the room was filled with old mattresses and furniture. There was a gourmet restaurant mentioned, but it appeared to have been closed for a long time, The main building was dirty and smelled very musty. Owners had very little English speaking ability and even less French. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Should get a refund for at least half the price. Very disappointing.

Inept communication of both official languages. Wifi did not work in annex that we stayed. Breakfast was awful, no coffee, no hot water for tea and no visible service, even though I kept calling and looking for someone. Although the room was clean, it was the worst accommodation I have ever stayed at. Where on earth did the 3 stars come from?

Difficile de laisser un avis sur cet établissement tant les expériences peuvent être différentes. Visiblement, cela s'est lal passé pour certains clients. En ce qui nous concerne, le séjour s'est très bien déroulé. Nous logions dans les chambres au premier dans le bâtiment principal. Elles étaient très correctes et avec le charme de l'ancien. Le petit-déjeuner se déroule dans une salle agréable ; il est correct et relativement varié, surtout pour le Québec dont ce n'est pas le point fort à ce que j'ai pu expérimenter. De toute évidence, les propriétaires, un couple de Chinois avec leur fils, déploient des efforts pour assurer le bon fonctionnement, mais la carence de personnel saute aux yeux. Ils trouvent tout de même le temps d'êtres aimables. Pour ce qui nous a semblé, l'hôtel est bien tenu. Et l'emplacement est excellent. Le rapport qualité-prix pour nous était satisfant. PS : Certains avis semblent être de complaisance, de toute évidence, et tellement laudatifs que ça en est comique.
