They have parties EVERY NIGHT which go on until 12a-1am at the earliest & one night it ended at 4a. I could NOT sleep while I was there, as a result. They need to pick either have it be a night club or hotel but it is too small to be both. It is clean & staff are the nicest. They give ear plugs but the floors vibrate w/ the noise from the ceiling just below.

Cute small boutique hotel, great value. Perfect for those who appreciate its history and music. Enjoyed the pool and bar. Easily spent 1-2 hours there, music was top notch, my favorite 90s-2000s throwbacks. The DJs on Saturday night played a good mix of music too. You have to walk 15-20 minutes to get to most places, but it’s near Magazine St, some local staples like Bearcat. Would stay again.

No thermostat in the room which ws like an ice box. No blankets on the bed had to use towels in bath room. NO cups or water glasses in the room. Not enough counter space either the bed room or bath rom. No elevator or person to help with getting the bags up the stairs. No downstairs rooms.

Key things missing: small fridge/microwave, coffee maker, and parking!. The person at the desk upon arrival did not even tell us there was coffee in the little hidden alcove downstairs. So, the first morning was a bummer. I found out from the man who fixed our room problem on the second night. The place is unique with charm and has potential. The pool is nice too. Those key things would make a huge difference.

Cute lil boutique hotel with a lot of black history. I liked that they kept a lot of the original structures and added on to a more modern look to it. Has a small pool area with a small bar area and you can order food from the kitchen. Not going to lie. The outside gives you a bit of an I in the right area, but once you’re inside you can tell how nice it is. We are from the Midwest and thought our first hotel at a mid range priced hotel with a known name would have been good, but it was not exactly what we thought. We stayed here for 1 night to give it a try. We realized we should have stayed here the whole time. It’s 10 min drive to bourbon street stuff, 20 min drive to the airport. I’m sure you can Uber to most things and not cost too much. Check in and check out went smooth. There is no elevator so be ready to climb stairs. It only has 2 floors the incline is not so bad. The room was nice and the decor was nice and easy on the eyes. The bathroom was modern and up to date and clean. The only part about the hotel is the bar next door which they own gets a little loud for the whole hotel. They do offer ear plugs, but the music stops at midnight. Even with the club I would stay again as your 10 min if that to bourbon street if your into that and then 20 min to the airport.

The rooms have been renovated recently. I enjoyed walking back in a time! An era I never experience, this was absolutely amazing! The lounge plays music starts about 12noon until 11:30 pm -12 pm so it's gotten pretty loud Durning the day. The noise was not a problem, actually help me get out of my Confort zone to socialize with the local guest. Omg a must stay!! I will be coming back with some friends!! oh yes, the staff was amazing! The two young ladies at the bar made me feel welcomed! I wish I could remember their names. I can give a brief description on the conversation that took place on this particular Saturday night. We discussed their history and thoughts of New Orleans, family, and on what restaurants to order from using my urber app after 11:30 pm These girls deserve praises and a raise. Unsafe, thin walls, no front desk help after hours. Not only was my doors’ lock falling off its hinges when I initially checked in, my in-house phone didn’t work, and I found no towels in my room which made me believe no one had cleaned the room or inspected it. The first night I had to share a room/bed with my friends because no one has at the front desk after 11pm to help them get inside their room after their key was lost. This hotel has inside and outdoor rooms, mine was located in the outside part, where you could hear phone conversations from your next door neighbors and everything that was going on downstairs or outside the room. On the third day of my stay I asked for my room to be cleaned, I returned to an untouched room. Overall the experience was lacking and disappointing.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dew Drop Inn!! Staff greeted us by name upon arriving to the front desk. We were given some wonderful history on the building, and were elated to find out that there is a consistent live stream of the music venue downstairs! We stayed in the Allen Toussaint room. The room was very unique, clean, and gave some amazing info about the person in which the room was named after. We had an awesome view of the street and access to a shared balcony through the main hallway. This was particularly exciting when we were able to watch a parade from our window on Sunday afternoon! The only down side was parking. There is parking available on the street, but you are sharing with the rest of the neighborhood. Because of this we didn’t drive much, but we were happy to see that Ubers usually sat at around $10 to go most places in the city. Overall we had a lovely stay. Every person we ran into was so nice and made sure to share their favorite aspects of the city, and building, with us. If you want a unique, memorable, and historically important hotel to stay with, I’d definitely go with The Dew Drop Inn!!

Strange experience! The first room I got was not cleaned, or the maid service had started but not finished at 9pm, no linens on the bed.... The second room that they told me was a upgrade (Room 208) was a strange experience. It was a large room with a murphy bed and two large doors that opened to the bar/restaurant, looking down on the guests from the second floor. That resulted in not only food smells, but also you were part of every staff conversation before and after closing as the doors would not close. Much worse was the fact that this room was connected to room 210, like it was the living room of a suite. I mistakenly walked straight in to the room as I thought it was the bathroom when I first arrived. As the door separating the rooms had no deadbolt guests and staff could walk in whenever they wanted, something that happened 4!!! times! You can lock it from the 210 side, but not the other way! Waking up at 2am to drunk guests walking in on you sleeping is just NOT OK!

Arrived from out of state 2 states over to find out my double bed room i paid for already in advance (had a party of 4) was occupied and the replacement was a single bed room. Then go into the replacement room and no working ac (room is 81 and musky). One of the 4 guests is on oxygen at night. No thermostat in the room which ws like an ice box. No blankets on the bed had to use towels in bath room. NO cups or water glasses in the room. Not enough counter space either the bed room or bath rom. No elevator or person to help with getting the bags up the stairs. No downstairs rooms.

Our stay here was overall very good! The staff was so nice and greeted us each time. However, our room (the rights room) would not stay cool. It would not go below 77 degrees even after maintenance reset it from down stairs. I would also recommend placing a mini fridge in the room. We loved it besides those 2 request!

Very nice themed rooms. If you need an early night sleep I wouldn’t recommend staying here- they do have live music almost every night. Room was really nice but limited in space- no fridge.

The staff at the Dew Drop Inn were wonderful as was the pool. The staff were very knowledgeable of New Orleans and cared about where you were going and took time to hear about your day time adventures when you returned home each evening. The rooms where spacious and comfortable. I would recommend if you are looking for a boutique style hotel with entertainment on site.

Unsafe, thin walls, no front desk help after hours. Not only was my doors’ lock falling off its hinges when I initially checked in, my in-house phone didn’t work, and I found no towels in my room which made me believe no one had cleaned the room or inspected it. The first night I had to share a room/bed with my friends because no one has at the front desk after 11pm to help them get inside their room after their key was lost. This hotel has inside and outdoor rooms, mine was located in the outside part, where you could hear phone conversations from your next door neighbors and everything that was going on downstairs or outside the room. On the third day of my stay I asked for my room to be cleaned, I returned to an untouched room. Overall the experience was lacking and disappointing.

Really enjoyed staying here. The renovations look amazing. The staff were even better!!! They went above and beyond for us and everyone. The area was hit hard by Katrina. Glad to see this historic place back on its feet. The band Friday night was brilliant too! As was the bar! Hope there will be some investment in the surrounding areas as week in the near future.

The hotel is historic, and recently renovated, so it is in excellent shape. It is nice to stay in a smaller hotel where you have personal attention and the staff recognizes you. The staff is very cordial. The neighborhood is well kept. One drawback is the lack of nearby dining options, but that will be solved in a few weeks (I think) when the hotel will open a restaurant/music venue. Public transportation is thin here, but I used uber to get to the convention center for meetings (about 10 min), and this turned out to be fine. Even after adding this cost, it was far less expensive to stay here than near the Convention Center, and it felt much friendlier.

This is a very cool hotel and it totally fits the Mew Orleans/French Quarter vibes. Every room is uniquely designed with a theme and the bed is very comfortable. I had one of the best night of sleep. The price is definitely worth it. There is a plenty of free parking in front.

This is such a fantastic place. The staff was amazing. Rooms were so cool. The beds were comfortable and towels were plush. There is also a music club on site which was fun. When we went to bed the music was still playing but I popped in some earplugs they provided and I was out like a light. The area around the hotel I probably would not walk through at night but it was fine during the day.

Cute lil boutique hotel with a lot of black history. I liked that they kept a lot of the original structures and added on to a more modern look to it. Has a small pool area with a small bar area and you can order food from the kitchen. Not going to lie. The outside gives you a bit of an I in the right area, but once you’re inside you can tell how nice it is. We are from the Midwest and thought our first hotel at a mid range priced hotel with a known name would have been good, but it was not exactly what we thought. We stayed here for 1 night to give it a try. We realized we should have stayed here the whole time. It’s 10 min drive to bourbon street stuff, 20 min drive to the airport. I’m sure you can Uber to most things and not cost too much. Check in and check out went smooth. There is no elevator so be ready to climb stairs. It only has 2 floors the incline is not so bad. This is definitely a hidden gem! It’s a very cute, small hotel/inn. Check in was quick and easy. The young lady working the front was very and personable! The room was very cute and clean! There was an event the night we stayed, and it was loud music! However, we could have attended and joined the fun, but we were tired. The music did stop at a reasonable time and we were sleep in minutes! I will definitely stay here again!!

Key things missing: small fridge/microwave, coffee maker, and parking!. The person at the desk upon arrival did not even tell us there was coffee in the little hidden alcove downstairs. So, the first morning was a bummer. I found out from the man who fixed our room problem on the second night. The place is unique with charm and has potential. The pool is nice too. Those key things would make a huge difference.

The rooms have been renovated recently. I enjoyed walking back in a time! An era I never experience, this was absolutely amazing! The lounge plays music starts about 12noon until 11:30 pm -12 pm so it's gotten pretty loud Durning the day. The noise was not a problem, actually help me get out of my Confort zone to socialize with the local guest. Omg a must stay!! I will be coming back with some friends!! oh yes, the staff was amazing! The two young ladies at the bar made me feel welcomed! I wish I could remember their names. I can give a brief description on the conversation that took place on this particular Saturday night. We discussed their history and thoughts of New Orleans, family, and on what restaurants to order from using my urber app after 11:30 pm These girls deserve praises and a raise. "Yes, Falipa's was DELECIOUS!"

The staff was great. The location was ideal. The neighborhood quiet. The hotel was cute and themed based off the history of this iconic hotel. The listed read like all the rooms had a mini fridge, they did not. That would be a great addition. There was definitely room for one. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Regarding the staff, it depended on who was at the front desk. We had a few great ones and then we had to sever terrible ones. The property was not well maintained. It was in a very bad side of town. I felt like I was duped from their ratings and from the hotel.com ratings. They had no refrigerator or microwave in any of the rooms. They also had no ice machines. So you would have to go downstairs to the front desk and ask them if they could fill up an ice bucket or a cooler. The pool was very small and dirty. I wouldn’t stick my toes in it let alone swim. The only thing positive I would say about the Dew Drop Inn was the room was clean, but they never came back to clean it any other day except the day that you checked in.
