Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands

Really enjoyed the beautiful beach - Golden Sands. Pool facilities were great but indoor pool could have been better, as it was extremely cold and the sauna didnt work either. Staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, helpful and helped us eith queries big and small, very efficiently.

Very nice staff, upgraded to renovated suite. Quality restaurants. Only complaint was having to wear wristbands by the pool and on the beach (low class for a five star property to require this).

Parking was a nightmare here and we couldn’t get food at the hotel during the weekend as it was valantines day. There was no parking for us either spent an hour every evening looking for parking.

Beautiful pool area, very clean.Fantastic breakfast buffet. The only downside is lack of parking spaces.

generally well maintained property has everything for everyone including an on site spa, kids activities, large pool, gym indoor pool and sauna. Their private beach is just a few steps away and has easy access to the Aquamarine water sports activity center The Myoka spa is one of the best and so are their restaurants- diverse food options including ‘Essense of India’ Some aspects could improve - the sauna area changing rooms are not well maintained and the service staff at the hotel could do with more training

This was a wonderful hotel within walking distance from a small bay. Hotel was comfortable and quiet, with plenty of sunbeds and lovely pools. Activities were going on for children which we had no need for but would be good for families. We had a lovely massage and used spa facilities and gym. Good variety of restaurants on site, only downside was there was it was a driving distance from any other attractions/ areas outside of hotel, we used Bolt a few times.

The breakfast was excellent which a great variety and with the option to ask for specific items. It also has a separate omlette station and a kids station. The beach and sea view was exceptional - it takes your breath away. The staff provided a high level of service, they were responsive, accomodating, helpful, welcoming - excellent. A big shout out to Ankit, Front of House Manager, Zeeshan who was very helpful, and Elvie who was excellent and is brilliant at customer services! The room was excellent with great facilities, and maybe it could do with some updating, it was still an excellent stay and throughly enjoyed it. There were 3 great restaurants on site that serve great food! The beach is lovely, clean and the sea is clean. The are are 3 outside pools, an inside pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a spa - all great. It is a mini deli shop which stocks food, drink, items etc. which are all very useful. I will definitely be back! It was an outstanding stay.

Quiet location with private beach. Great facilities from several restaurants, to gym, to small in-house deli. Pools overlooking beach. Easy access to Gozo ferry or Valletta. Lovely outlook. If you're lucky, you’ll get a beautiful sunset thrown in.

Ok so this is definitely not a five star or a four star hotel it’s is clean but by day 5 of my holiday l had a huge cockroach swimming in my toilet. The hotel is very dated and needs a complete refurbishment. I loved the fact the national park is on your doorstep and the beach is a stones throw away. I want to say a huge thank you to the general staff waiters cleaners waitresses they are amazing polite and courteous and can’t do enough for you. Management however needs a total overhaul retraining and should remember people pay good money to stay here! So if l tell you that lm smelling like something died in my room, don’t doubt me!

Everything was perfect, but really really amazing was Henri, all stuff was very helpful, nice just perfect, but Henri was really special 😍.Room was perfect and very clean maybe one little minus-bed was a bit for soft and of course breakfast was super and fresh

Clean room, nice view, easy access to town and nice staff.

On arrival most impressive. Looks 5* from the get go. The front of house service excellent! Beyond this area not so impressive a bit dated some areas were dirty. Around the pool the sun lounges had a lot of bird mess. View spectacular so beautiful! Not Gluten free friendly except in Flavours the breakfast area where the choice is much better. There is a 'deli' shop who sells more. The staff work very hard in the breakfast area to please. We felt that this hotel is set up more for families with children, with plenty for them to do. Prices on the whole are reasonable depending where you spend your money. At best we would say this is a 3* & not 5* comparing it with England of course. We do travel a great deal being retired around the country & stay in the Radisson Hotels the best so far is the East Midlands Airport which is exceptional.

Rooms were clean

We had an excellent stay, great facilities, wonderful Sea View Suite with a huge balcony. We had everything we could ask for in our very spacious suite. The staff throughout were friendly, helpful and professional. Hotel and grounds were sparkling clean. Wonderful fresh buffet breakfast with great choices and the restaurants served reasonably priced delicious meals. Many thanks to all who helped make our stay so memorable.

Auch der Balkon ist groß. Die Einrichtung ist älter und auch das Bad. Die Amaturen sind am Waschbecken so seitlich angebracht dass man mit den Händen immer gegen das Waschmecken kommt, da der Wasserstrahl zu schwach ist. Der Abfluss ging nicht richtig und auch der Abfluss in der Dusche hat gar nicht geklappt. Die dusche war in einer Badewanne und man stand immer im Wasser. Es wurde zwar tgl. das Bett gemacht und auch die Handtücher gewechselt, aber gereinigt wurde das Bad nicht. Auch der Balkon wurde nicht gekehrt. Es lag einiges an Sand vom Strand auf dem Balkon. Das war die ganzen 5 Tage dort. Von einem 5 Sterne Hotel erwarte ich hier mehr. Da Frühstück war i.o. Es gab genug Auswahl und es sollte für jeden etwas dabei sein. We had a great week staying at the hotel. On the whole the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The communal areas and rooms were spotlesssly clean, although like other travellers reviews the bedroom furniture was outdated. I travelled with my disabled son, all areas were accessible nd staff always offered to help me. The private beach was lovely

The Location is absolutely gorgeous! All staff was friendly and the Food delicious. The Hotel itself is a bit outdated, but in descent shape. The indoor Pool area needs more frequent cleaning when it‘s Crowded. The bed was rather uncomfortable and needs new matresses.

Room was amazing. WiFi was crap.

Very good breakfast, very good room. The basic rooms were notably less appointed than the suites though. The balcony was huge. AC worked great. Good pool and good prices. The only real downside is the layout is a bit odd, and the furniture is a bit dated.

Nice big room with kitchen

The sea view at this hotel is truly breathtaking and the main reason to stay here. However, our superior room felt a bit dated, with an old sofa and a small queen bed that was uncomfortably soft. After we complained, the friendly and helpful staff added a wooden shelf between the boxspring and mattress, which improved the situation, but the beds definitely need to be replaced.

Stayed in sea view suite. Rooms on 6th floor needs updating. Smells of damp, carpet had stains on it which were covered with furniture. Drains in the shower run really slow. Tiles movin in kithchen and bath area. 2nd room on 9th floor updated clean no issues. Would expect more from 5 star resort and a level on consistency when booking two rooms together

Spacious suite with beach view, good breakfast and nice pools with many sunloungers.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights 24/10/25-28/10/25. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are large, clean but a bit old. Water pressure in the shower was very low, toilet flush was nonexistent and finally stopped working. Beach is nice but very small for such a large hotel. Getting a lounge chair and an umbrella is practically impossible after 11 o’clock. But if you come early in the morning and get a spot at the beach, then go for breakfast at your allocated time, your towels and your stuff is removed by security, so you need to look for a new spot at the beach. This happened to us and we were told this was the hotel’s policy. Neither security nor hotel manager on duty were willing to do anything to accommodate my husband and I. And yes, your breakfast time is assigned at check in. We were given 2 options 7:30 and 9:30. Every request we had at the front desk was answered with a NO, big smile and very polite but a NO. Breakfast buffet was good but same every day we stayed at the hotel

The beach view from our 1-bedroom apartment was awesome, and the size of rooms and balcony was great, with adequate kitchen setup, including the dishwasher, and two large closets to hang our stuff in. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the furniture a little tired and in need of an upgrade. Robes and slippers were very much appreciated. My only complaint is the odor. I think it was coming from nearby fields being fertilized, but quite unpleasant and could sometimes be felt all the way up on 6th floor.

Great breakfast. Fantastic Indian restaurant. Beautiful location, clean & tidy. Poor service..booked months in advance told on arrival would need to change rooms after 1st night as overbooked. Just an apology, no free drinks/meals/partial refund/late checkout.

Horrible rude hotel with no customer service , robbing customers of money and property

We just returned from our trip. Radisson golden sands is a lovely hotel. I had emailed them prior asking for us to stay in the middle tower but they were full and allowed us to change rooms the next day. We were in the sunset suite room first which we found quite dated and there was a smell in the kitchen area. We were then moved to the twilight tower which is much closer to the pool, restaurants and beach. This room was so much better. The staff were very accommodating and helpful especially Chetan. The only thing I would say is they don't have half board and not enough vegetarian selection in the main buffet restaurant in the evening. So eating at the italian or indian restaurant does get a bit repetitive. Another thing is that the hotel lacks daytime and evening entertainment. There was also not much music being played.Pool side food and drinks were good. Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choice. The beach is very close either access via stairs or lifts. Pool chairs at the beach or pool cannot be reserved which is good. So we didn't have to get up at a silly hour to get any. Any unattended towels get removed in 30 minutes but ours got removed in 5 minutes. My son noticed and luckily I managed to get the towels back and place them again otherwise we would have lost our chairs if I was 5 seconds late. This happened twice to us and I spoke to security as they were the ones who removed them. They did apologise but it is something to be aware of. Overall the hotel is excellent.

The whole experience at this wonderful hotel was perfect. The staff were very welcoming and incredibly helpful. Such hardworking staff too, constantly rushed off their feet but nothing was too much trouble. The on-site restaurants were great, my favourite was Med-Asia (lovely Sushi) The pool was great and not too busy. We were kindly upgraded to a bigger suite which was fantastic. Comfortable bed and gorgeous shower. The rooms could do with a redo, new carpet/curtains as they were a bit dated. We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel! Highly recommended and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a joyful time.

Utrolig dårlig service. Vi var der med barn og låsen til rommet fungerte ikke. Vi var nede i resepsjonen 8 ganger det første døgnet. Fikk nye nøkkelkort og beskjed om at ingenting var galt med låsen. Dag to fikk de etter mye mas fra oss en servicemedarbeider til å fikse det. Veldig hiarki på dette hotellet og av en manager fikk vi en vinflaske på rommet og en lapp med beklager på. Dette er et dårlig plaster på såret etter å ha løpt opp og ned til resepsjonen 8 ganger med barn på slep. Fikk heller ikke til internett tilgangen, litt klønete når ikke tv kanalen på hotellet overførte fotball-em. Så gikk endel datapakker. Ellers var oppholdet ok og vennlige folk og enkel tilgang til basseng og strand. Litt lite lekeplass for ungene på stranda da det var tett i tett med solsenger.

This hotel was the holiday we needed. Brilliant spa facilities, spacious rooms and the most helpful friendly staff. Breakfast was awesome and the Indian restaurant should not be missed. Not much around this hotel to walk to but we had a car so all good for us.

We enjoyed quiteness of the place since Malta cities are one huge construction site at the moment. The variety of the breakfast menu was splendid- we really enjoyed attention to the details when it came to every single time we went for breakfast. Special thanks to Henri for amazing and really welcoming attitude. The spacious area of the hotel assists on reserving enough area for everyone, so one could be sure there will not be any crowded places wherever you go. Did not like the way on how hotel staff could not handle simple stuff - the hotel was booked via Expedia platform and even though all the money were deducted at the same time the hotel was booked, we were asked few times to provide evidences of the payment while hotel administration could have reached put to Expedia for clarification. The most absurd moment was that the hotel staff asked us to provide the evidences at the time of the check out - 7 days after check in, because the payment according to them was not received yet. So once again - third time, we had to show all the evidences. It is not the experience we expected - mood ruined, our little son was crying because of waiting at all the 'sorry, need to check few things' times. Overall the hotel is fantastic and we would really pick it once again, however the lack of professionalism on dealing with intermediaries providing booking services demonstrates that the staff in the reception is far from what supposed to be expected in 5 star hotel.

O café da manhã foi ótimo, estávamos comemorando o aniversário de 40 anos do marido, então pedi velinha para parabéns e mandaram um pratinho com mini sobremesas. O que me chateou foi ter pedido um late check out e ter sido recusado e quando estava fazendo o meu check out um casal do lado pediu a mesma coisa e deixaram ficar até as 16:00 no quarto.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful peaceful location

Brilliant choice in the effective countryside of Malta (being further afield from the party areas). A family hotel but it suited us just fine as two girls as we stayed by the adults only pool. Having direct access to the beach was brilliant, especially the private area. The breakfast was fabulous and catered very well for a coeliac diet - the chef came to our table and said he would cook anything she wanted from the buffet to avoid cross contamination. Henri greeted us beautifully each morning at the breakfast. Our room was spacious, it had a sofa bed and also kitchenette with supplies. We would most definitely stay again. My only critique would be to 1) ban smoking around the pool 2) pressure wash the pool drains, they’re a bit green 😅

Pluses: spacious room and bathroom, attentive staff, adjacent to beautiful beach, private beach, comfortable, clean, bus stop not too far away Negatives: If you want to visit sites in Malta, the hotel is very far away from some of the major cities and sites; not an issue if you have a car. Could take the bus, but it was inconvenient due to timing, road closures, location (this was in Nov.). Hotel is a little dated, not a lot of food options at hotel or nearby Hotel staff go out of their way to help. But we were disappointed in Concierge - they could not give us best options for getting to certain places and were not aware of certain tours we had found at other hotels and did not tell us about the shuttle from the hotel that goes to certain sites for a fee; we found out on our own. We picked a 5* hotel so that Concierge could help us get around. There are travel desks that offer different tours but they only know what their company offers; would be nice if Concierge could know what our transportation/travel needs are and guide us accordingly. Nota Bene: many options at breakfast/food was above average but not stellar likely because they were cooking for 100s of people. Also, a quiet breakfast inside dining area is challenging because at all times during breakfast there is a lot of noise due to small kids - not good or bad but an observation.

Good location, close to the golden sands beach. Unfortunately it was very windy during our stay and the water was still cold. In terms of getting to Valetta or any other attractions it is a bit remote even by taxi. Food at the restaurants was average.

The hotel is really really good, excellent breakfasts, neat sand beach with an elevator, sauna! Perfect -- if the resort is all you need, but somewhat far from either Valletta or Mdina.

Very large nice hotel next to a large beach (by Malta standards). It is on the quiet north west coast and is not within walking distance of a village/town; you need a car if staying at this hotel otherwise you will spend all of your time at the hotel.

Wonderful location in a breathtakingly beautiful bay. The food in all the restaurants onsite was excellent.

Great stay, service was very slow but we got the impression that was just Malta. Great suite. Mokka bar food was terrible for a 5star hotel, should scrap the menu and start again. Would absolutely return, just not eat in mokka bar. Pool area would benefit being hosed down on the evening.

Magnific hotel situated in a quiet and relaxing place just in front of a beautiful sandy beach. The appartement type room was spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed. Excellent hotel providing variety of service for clients. The staffs make efforts for your comfortable stay. The food at MedAsia was superb
