Great location. Attached to the train station. Laundry was easy to use as they would time limit people so made it available. Wonderful mountain views

Hotel Metropolitan Nagano is directly connected from Nagano Station which is a gateway to lots of sightseeing spots. Service was impeccable, breakfast abundant and scrumptious, location so central to shopping and dining. The only thing I wish this hotel would have is a spa with public bath/sauna. With cold winter in Nagano, hot bath would make the stay perfect. Otherwise, I enjoyed everything about my stay at this hotel.

宿泊者への駐車場の案内が分かりにくかった。地下駐車場入口に満車の看板が立て掛けてあり、外の駐車場に行くと満車表示。係の人に声を掛けると地下駐車場を案内されたが、もう一度道路を回ってこなければならない状況。これに関しては正直大不満足です。

Very nice hotel in a great location adjacent to railway. Easy access to shops and restaurants. The only issue was finding a bar in the hotel. Got ripped off with so called happy hour in hotel.

A brilliantly situated hotel, with good facilities on the doorstep. Excellent service. Large room. We particularly enjoyed a meal in the Chinese Restaurant on 2F.

Excellent location. Right next to train station and bus station. Staff very helpful in forwarding luggage. Breakfast was fine with plenty of seating. Water dispenser provided. There is a direct exit to the shopping mall and train station. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Don Quixote just right across the street with a bridge so you do not have to cross the roads even. Clean and comfortable.

There was really nothing to dislike. Being literally steps from the train station was the very definition of convenience. Immaculate condition. Plenty of amenities and a staff that could hardly be better. Makes me wish we were staying in Nagano for a longer period of time. The *only* minor inconvenience was a lack of a microwave (though there was one in a public area) and no drawers for unpacking clothes. Other than that - this was magnificent!

Terrific location to transportation hub (train/bus/bullet train) and malls/dining options. The breakfast buffet was good and included some local dishes and lots of fresh fruit. Bathroom smelled moldy/mildewy… perhaps an issue with the drains… we reported to the front desk and they “deodorized” the room, but it didn’t help with the bathroom smell.

Staff was friendly, room was clean and spacious, and location of property very convenient to other areas of interest in Nagano.

Clean room, great service and connected to the train station is a plus!

チェックインアウト両方ともスムーズでした。スペーリアツインルームを予約しました。部屋の広さも十分ですしアメニティもとても抱負で良かっです。アメニティは必要なものを一階のフロント横に取りに行きます。清潔感は抜群によかったです。朝食も地元のメニューが抱負で地酒が1種類ですが置いてありとてもよかったです。

The problem with this hotel is that even the non-smoking rooms stink of cigarette smoke. If you are a non-smoker, do not stay here.

Right next to Nagano station. It was very convenient. The room was very clean but bit old. The staff were very friendly.

Although the room was small, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They stored or luggage early before check-in and then the next day after check out. Pillows were very lumpy.

A grand big hotel in the old style. A bit outdated but clean and comfortable in a great location just next to Nagano station. Would definitely stay here again.

Cleanliness was a 5 star. Very easy to check in/out. Easy access from the train station and back, great location! Wifi was slow and on my last day it didn’t work at all.

Located about a 5 minute walk from Nagano station. Quick check in. Good size room, comfortable and clean. Purchased breakfast buffet and it was very good with lots of variety. Surrounding area is good with lots of shopping.

Spacious comfortable room

We really liked this hotel and would stay here again. Next time we would ask for a room that does not face the train tracks. The sound of the train warning and a couple minutes later the actual train passing woke us up quite early in the morning. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the room was very comfortable.

Vety convenient for visitng the city - right next to shops and restaurants. Connected to railway station and bus station so very easy for commuting to sights. Sadly sleep quality very poor. Heating in the rooms is set on auto at a high temperature and although you could open the windows it is not practical since the hotel is right by the train teacks , so really loud wirh trains continually arriving with bells and announcements. Staff are amazing, very progessional and friendly - they brought us a fan which helped a bit.

チェックイン前だけでなく、チェックアウト後も荷物を預かってもらえて大変助かりました！2日目に観光をする予定があったので、駅のロッカーに入れるしかないかなと思っていましたが、その時にちょうど良い大きさのロッカーが空いているとも限らないのでとても有り難いサービスでした。駅と直結で雨の日でも濡れずに移動できましたし、ぜひまた利用したいと思いました。ありがとうございました！

Hotel is very conveniently located at Nagano station. Room was clean and quiet. Staff was always friendly and took care of my luggage before check in and after check out.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I realized I left my belt bag which contained everything important (credit cards, driver license, passport, literally all the money I brought). There was a female staff with a fringe who was so kind and patient. She helped me track down the train we were on and followed up with the train staff when it had reached its final destination. This was around 12 pm since we wanted to drop off luggage. We got back to the hotel to check in on the status of my bag and she informed us it was at a city 1 hr away by Shinkansen. She looked up the departure/arrival times for roundtrip and we were able to get it same day. When we were in our room dropping off our luggage first, a male staff who was also looped in called and said they'll bring up a note to show anyone at the station directing where our bag was. Less than a minute later, that same man was at our door OUT OF BREATH. I was so shocked because he came up insanely fast. That's amazing service!!! We also wanted to ship 1 of our 2 large luggages to our hotel in Tokyo. They were able to take care of that and the cost was extremely reasonable. The room itself was large compared to other Japanese hotels I've stayed in. Everything was in working order and there was ample bathroom counter space which I love. Clean as well. Location cannot be beat. Right next to Nagano Station/direct access to the station, and right by the bus stop too. Very near a Donki and many eateries. Highly recommend.

This was as close as a hotel could be to the Nagano train station- they are connected! Great town, great access, great hotel.

Hotel Metropolitan is a very comfortable, and convenient hotel to stay at connected to Nagano train station and Midori department store and food court. It is a great base to explore the areas around Nagano by easy train and bus connections to the Snow Monkey Park, Obuse, Yudanaka, Nakano, Matsumoto and Hakuba. The rooms are very quiet considering all the traffic and people.

駅直結で雨天でも濡れずに行けるのが最大のメリット。尚且つ善光寺へも徒歩で歩ける距離。朝食の品数・質・味も大変良かった。

Good hotel in a convenient location at the station

Very easy access from Nagano station, both buildings are connected by indoor passageways. The hotel staff were very kind and they printed the duty free store options for us by request. The breakfast buffet was gorgeous including the local meals and drinks, such as tasty apple juice and sake. I thought the room was larger than other popular business hotels’ in Japan.

雨の日であったが駅近で便利でした。駅にはレストランも多く、濡れずに行けて良かったです。朝食のメニューは豊富でヘルシー思考でしたが、もう少し豪華さがあっても良いと思いました。
