Sonesta Simply Suites Falls Church

Stayed here for 3 nights. Good price and value for money. The suites have a full kitchen, little light in terms of the pots / pans and cutlery. Staff was very friendly. Location is good , with a couple of nice coffee shops nearby. The metro station is not walkable though. Parking at night was a little hard to come by because there were some big construction trucks parked.

Not much to look at on outside, however, rooms are very nice. Staff was hospitable. Location is convenient to Arlington, 267, Tyson’s, etc. Gym is actually decent size. I didn’t have a pet but many a dog on the property :).

The rooms are an okay size. They are a little cramped and the door hits the furniture if you open it all the way. They have a fold out couch but didnt have and pillows to go with it. The "full kitchen'' is about the size of an RV kitchen and has no pots and pans. You have to check them out at the front desk and bring them back when you're done. The wifi moves at a glacial speed and when we were there the internet went out all together and we couldn't stream any tv. They do have a laundry room but its in a super inconvenient location. In the middle of the second floor of the main building so its a bit of a trek to get to it if your room is anywhere else. They have hundreds of guests and 1 place for laundry, which wouldnt have been such a big issue bc they have 2 washers and 3 dryers. But only 1 washer and dryer worked so if another guest leaves their clothes in too long then youre up a creek. They have 2 outdoor grills to use but only one of them worked and only half of it at that. They are pet friendly and many people have their doggos walking around (but if you dont like dogs then you're 100% the problem lol) its in a great area and only about 20 mins or so to all the DC attractions. Its walking distance to coffee and grocery stores. Theres lots of historic stuff to look at nearby as well. (Pictured below is the half stove lol)

Great last minute set up for my family given a previous bad experience with another establishment and a five hour drive. They had complementary cookies and coffee which was welcoming. The desk clerk was really helpful and gave us a few spots to have dinner and shop at. Parking was $5 per night which was better than if we stayed at the location that didnt work out. There is also an Aldi near buy for some food shopping. We did not expect what we were in for, which was a nice two bedroom apartment/suite, with a nice little kitchen and a table for four in the living room. The location was about 15 minutes from DC. It was clean and comfortable, however it is a "Pet friendly" establishment and we are not pet people. It was evident from the condition of the furniture and a few pet hairs that made it on to our luggage. Luckily we prepare for our trips by bringing our own linen and pillows, as one of the bed sheets had an "accident" stain on it. There is a court yard with some grills for guest use which looked clean and well kept. Overall, given our lack of familiarity with the brand, and being a last minute booking, this was a really nice location, with more "bang for our buck" and would definitely be up for consideration for a future stay.

Enjoyed my stay with the family all the staff was very professional and very helpful. if you want to relax and you’re not home this is far the best place to stay the garden area is so relaxing also

Plenty of parking although there is a $5.30 charge to park per night. It isnt expensive but still. Better if it were free. The room was excellent. Spacious. Kitchen had everything. Even an oven and garbage disposal and dishwasher. Wow. I would stay again

The property was spacious, was close to dining restaurants and shops. The gym was the absolute best. Need to burn the extra calories. The limited parking space available was the only con. Overall, highly recommend this place!

When we checked in water on the floor of the kitchen and the carpet was wet. End up with changed the room.

The smell of cigarettes permeates the place but the room was, otherwise, clean and well organized. Lighter sleepers will want to avoid rooms nearest the stairs.

I was very happy with my choice. The room was clean, clean, clean! I was very impressed. The sheets smelled wonderful and it was a pleasure to fall asleep in that bed. The room had a couch, as well as a nice desk area with lights and mirror above…a great spot to do your hair and make-up. The kitchen was fully equipped with every appliance, even a stove and oven. Again, every appliance squeaky clean. Scott, the manager and Malik at the front desk were wonderful. Both were helpful, warm and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again. If I had planned better/sooner, I would have stayed a couple extra days and taken in the sights in DC as access to DC is very easy from this location. If you ever need to stay in the Falls Church/DC area, I recommend you stay here. You won’t be disappointed!

Mostly clean but did have a weird smell throughout

Thé property is excellent . However, the carpets are very old and they stink, there is strong bad smell from the carpets, specially in the hallways, that will contaminate your clothes. The carpets need to be changed, otherwise the hotel is excellent.

Property was conveniently located to Washington DC area attractions. Area around property had nice restaurants and shopping for groceries and essentials. Suite always seemed to smell like either cigarette smoke or marijuana and also especially in the hallways. Mouse droppings were found under the kitchen sink and actual live mouse was found on a mouse trap under the kitchen sink. Manager was quick to respond to above situation and promptly refunded our stay.

The hotel is in a very good location where it’s easy access to downtown Washington DC, it has many restaurants, many stores in its surrounding area and is in an attractive and well-maintained area. When entering the hotel property, it has easy parking. Upon entering the hotel itself the people at the desk for check in and check were very nice. As far as staying at the hotel, the room itself had a great layout, a small living room area, a small yet full kitchen set up, and then the bed area. I have never stayed in a hotel that lacked such insulation or quality construction to the level of this as I could literally hear the conversations of the rooms above and below us at all times in addition to the person upstairs sounding like they were an elephant walking across the floor all the day and night. it was truly difficult to be comfortable and get rest with the noise from the surrounding rooms both above and to the sides, you could hear literally everything! The hotel is also pet friendly, which is absolutely OK yet most hotels that are pet friendly restrict pets to certain floors or certain rooms, yet this did not appear to be the case for here as you could still see a significant amount of pet hair on the curtains as well as throughout the carpeted area especially if you walked on the carpeted area without shoes. The bedding as well as the blankets also had hair on them as well, yet , those appeared to be more human hairs than pet. I would not stay again.

Absolutely loved staying here and will be returning again in the fall! It was so lovely to be able to walk around the community, in safety and convenience. Plus the room was super clean and cozy!

Sounded like a loud band was playing the entire time I was there. I noticed it during the day and at night it was going past midnight

Water pressure was very lacking, the door keys barely work as it seems the slot too loose for the magnetic strip to read reliably. A lack of quiet hours observed by the guests. The internet left a lot to be desired as well as the wifi barely functioned

On the other side of the road there is a noisy bar, that blasts music when someone enters exits the bar. Sonesta who is aware of the problem should not rent rooms opposite the bar. Thanks

Lots of places nearby, like CVS, Escape Room, Aldi's (rooms have small kitchens, so we bought groceries), about a mile from Metro station. Room was great! Nice smell to the hotel, soft towels, provides hygiene items such as large bottles of lotions, shampoo, and etc. Kitchenettes come with silverware, cooking pans, plates, cups, etc Bed was comfy and pillows were plump. Super soft and AC unit worked. Limited channels on TV but not a huge issue. Internet was great for being a public WIFI. As a gamer, I had no lag when cloud gaming on my PC. *Cons* -Entrance is almost missable (We drove past it the first time), but in the same respect, it felt less like a hotel and more like townhouse entrance in a quaint area. -Exiting by vehicle was a bit hard due to cars along the street blocking views up and down the road but was manageable. *These would be knit-picking details -No snack or soda machines. The lobby had items although they were limited in selection. -People above us were loud foot-wise, stomping, loud thumps randomly. We loved staying there and are looking forward to staying again if we get the chance to see DC again.

Would have got a higher rating but TV not working for 2 nights despite being reported. Nice area to stay if you have a car.

Property was very nice, the shower had low water pressure but other than that everything was great

The only thing I can say is I thought my room had an actual pull out coach to sleep on when it said sofa bed. But it was a regular couch. Other than that it was very nice 10/10. The room was nice and spacious. I loved the cute little stove, very convenient to cook and put food in the oven. The beds were clean comfortable. The bathroom was nice and clean. The room didn't have a weird smell, very fresh. Would definitely stay here again!!!!!

The front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. The room was terrific: very comfortable bed, good desk and sitting areas, and full kitchen stocked with essential dishware. The only negative was occasional loud noise directly above our room as if furniture was being moved. I would definitely stay again and will look for Sonesta Simply Suites elsewhere when traveling.

The front desk team at this hotel, no matter what hour of the day or night is wonderful. I have a tendency to lose every card they give me and have never complained or charged a fee for replacing them. They are always warm, friendly and welcoming.

I have stayed at this hotel many times for business, and it is always wonderful. In particular, on this trip, I arrived several hours early and asked if I could store my luggage until check-in time. The lovely front desk agent said, "No, let me check you in to your room now, and at no extra cost." I was able to get several hours of work done from the sanctuary of my room. They always go above and beyond.

We just needed two rooms for one night, but we ended up getting bumped up to two two-room suites for free, which was great! The staff were very nice, and the rooms were clean and well-supplied.

The location was terrific. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff were all very helpful, polite and overall very responsive. Was a very nice stay.

This hotel always provides the best service but this trip was above and beyond. Due to the snow, I arrived early and they allowed me to check in without an additional fee. The front desk staff is wonderful and always helpful. What made this trip above and beyond was during my stay I went down to the lobby to get fresh coffee. While preparing my coffee I made a mess on the counter and offered to clean it but they took care of it for me, which was kind enough, I then took my two hot cups, turned around, and spilled them all over everything. I stood there with my head hung low and the young man behind the desk said please do not worry, it happened and he jumped up, grabbed towels, and helped me clean it all up. I was mortified and he was so kind and calming. It is an act I will never forget.

We have always thought this was a well-located and competitively-priced option when we stay in Northern VA. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Very easy access to both Washington airports and route 495 and 66. Falls Church is an interesting and walkable city.

I stayed here years ago for the same reason I stayed here last month, to attend shows at the State Theater. Great location, plenty of food options nearby, very quiet and clean.

The area was very safe and it was a good distance from DC!!

Clean, simple accomodations in the Falls Church area. I spent most of my time in downtown Washington DC and used public transportation to get there from this hotel. There is a bus stop within a five minute walk that takes you to thr Metro station, and from there it's easy to navigate to the main tourist destinations, but this whole process takes about 45 minutes. I appreciated that there is a grocery store right next door to the hotel, as well as plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I had an issue with my key cards not working on the 2nd day of my stay and the front desk were able to resolve it relatively quickly. I was travelling alone and felt safe the whole time during my stay.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean…good value. Location is excellent. Easy to get to everything, and plenty of places within walking distance. Only drawback was not being within walking distance of a Metro stop. Otherwise, enjoyed our stay.

Ahmed was very nice & accomodating. Could have use greater selection in the mini-mini store. Needed extra towels,tissues & pillows. Needs extra waste baskets in the room. No ice machine either. Rugs in the doorways were dirty & edges were frayed.

It was good while I was there with my girlfriend. It’s really nice inside very clean. I’ve been there twice and will definitely go there again. But y’all should add a little better coffee and more salt and sugar. Other than that everything is amazing.

Gone downhill from prior visits. No breakfast and $5 charge per day for parking. Large groups hanging out at night and common areas dirty as a result.

Felt like home, but the rooms were not cleaned regularly. Would be good if they could service breakfast.

I like staying at the Sonesta Suites when I come to town for work because they are within walking distance of my company's headquarters, good restaurants, coffee shops, and Aldi. The kitchenette is an added bonus that I really appreciate.

Enjoyed having a kitchenette, was able to keep leftovers and groceries /coffee in the fridge and make breakfast in the morning to save some money on food. The bed is firm but comfortable. Tv is enormous. Was easy to check in and check out. We were able to check in early for a small fee. Parking was a small added expense but worth it. Would absolutely stay at this or another location again in the future.

Our stay was good overall. The only thing I wish this hotel had was breakfast included.

We killed several spider's upon the first day of arrival. The toilet was clogged, and my children got bit by bugs or spider's, while sleeping. There's no pool or hot tub or breakfast, no amenities so very basic. I'd never stay at a Sonesta Suites again, the beds are hard and terrible, even the pillows were very flat.
