Amazing amenities! Hotel is what one expects when they travel. Working pool, kleenex, cups, smoke detector, extremely clean, excellent service. The hot tub is down for repairs but the children were able to utilize the pool. Breakfast was abundant! Internet worked! Great staff!

Pet-friendly! Good hot breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Large room (2 queens) with separate seating area. TV/remote worked well. Coffee pot in-room had to be replaced, tub drained very slowly and showerhead could use a descaling. Nice indoor pool & hot tub. Quiet.

Everything is broken in this hotel. The AC in my room couldn’t cool the room below 79 degrees. The gym has 3 pieces of equipment, all 3 are broken. The juice machine for breakfast in the morning is broken, and according to the cook, has been broken for more than 3 months. There is no water available at breakfast either. The toilet was only partially clean in my room, depending on the angle which you look at it. We come here for work several times a year and used to have good experiences here but it’s very clear that this facility is not being ran in such a way as to make patrons want to come back here. The staff was friendly though, so there’s that. That’s not nothing.

This is one of the worst hotel stays ever! Several items were broken in the room. The smoke detector was open and had no batteries, the light in the bathroom flickered the whole time it was on. Fan was broken and very loud. The shower bar was not fully attached. Light bulbs were missing from the lamps Elevator did not seam safe. The housekeepeing staff and the people preparing breakfast were fantastic. The rest of the staff didn’t want to be bothered. They should shut this place down and spend some money on repairs before reopening it. Should not be available on Orbit’s for selection

Parking was difficult due to lack of pull-through options. We ended up behind the property, climbing a slope, and navigating a zig-zag ramp with our luggage and little ones. Staff was extremely helpful and efficient. Carpet in the room blackened our feet! Items filthy! The baby had gray hands and the knees of her pjs were dirty. This has become the norm in hotels but, where little ones are concerned, hotels need to do better.

Check in time was 3 PM however when we arrived after 4 PM, our room still wasn’t ready. I will say they gave us a Free upgrade, however the room, especially the bathroom was pretty smelly. When my daughter and I were getting ready for bed, we pulled back the blankets and they were bugs in the blankets. Pull back the blankets on the other bed and found more bugs At 11:30 PM at night literally had to pack up our whole room and drive an hour away to find another hotel room

The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling and walls. The air conditioner had mold on the vents and smelled horrible. The window did not close air tight and whistled with the wind and allowed hot air in the room. Don’t stay in room 309 until it’s fixed.

Room wasn’t clean. It wasn’t ready…Dust/lint everywhere especially on coffeemaker and inside coffeemaker. Spiderwebs. And cockroaches and spiders. Asked front desk to switch me rooms, I explained to her the problem and said she wasn’t able to. I offered to pay extra/difference was told not possible, don’t have additional rooms. I asked if maybe housekeeping or her could assist with the cleaning and I’ll stay in that room. Was told housekeeping wasn’t available and she couldn’t leave the desk. Was forced to sleep there.

The only thing that I did not care for about this stay was the pillows. This place uses square pillows, which resemble couch pillows with pillow cases. I would prefer normal pillows. The other issue was the curtains. The curtains were badly stained which gave the room a dirty feel, even though the room itself was clean.

We were in a room on the first floor directly off the lobby and that opened into the dining/breakfast area. Very noisy in the morning and not very private. Was very weird to open your hotel room door into the breakfast room with people eating there.

We loved our room. Carpets were clean, beds were nice and comfy. We got a room with 2 queens. After a long day of driving we dropped into bed. The only disappointment we had was the beds were so comfortable that we slept right through the good hot breakfast they told us about at check in. Lol We will stop here again next time we are through.

We have people coming in our room around 11:30 because the front desk gave them a key. Front desk would not answer the phone. Had to go down and see why someone was able to come in our room and was told by the front desk it wasn’t their problem. Went back to my room and then was locked out and then had to go back to the front desk and was told it had nothing to do with them making someone else a key to our room that both of my keys had been by an electronic device. The staff was very sarcastic and careless about the situation.

During our stay, we had encounters with 3 different front desk personnel. Check in lady was extremely nice, and greeted me by name. Second Lady was at midnight, when we had to take out our dog for his last potty break of the evening,she gave our pup a treat and pet when we came back in. The third young lady was during our check out, she thanked us for choosing Best Western, and asked if we needed any thing before we left. Also, another delightful woman was the lady that was in charge of the breakfast fare. The offering for a weekday breakfast was amazing, wheat&white bread for toasting, muffins, bagels, jam,jelly,peanut butter, cream cheese,waffles, cold cereal, 3 types, oatmeal, several flavors, juice 3 kinds, milk, coffee with multiple creamers, bacon, shredded potatoes, AND that sweet woman cooked guests eggs to order! If we ever go through Shamrock, TX again we will definitely stay at the BEST WESTERN there!
