Quality Inn & Suites North Myrtle Beach

Pros: price point excellent for the area on Labor Day, spacious room with microwave and small fridge, pretty clean, friendly front desk, comfortable bed, close to Barefoot Landing and a lot of restaurants and mini-golf. Cons: Very musty smelling in halls, pool is literally in the parking lot, everything seemed clean but was pretty shabby

The hotel was great and right near many food options. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was the elevator interiors appeared to be under repair. The elevator’s worked great just didn’t look so pretty.

Parking was tight. The 15 passenger van was difficult to drive around property.

Property needs a revamp. Pool looks like a bathtub. Lots of shopping near by. Ross, Walmart, Home Depot, Publix. My room the tub didn’t drain properly, found a bug crawling. They don’t clean your room until after the 3rd day. You place your towels outside your door if you want more. Front desk told me I could get a bag for trash. That was on my last day. I was just dumping my own trash. Outback restaurant next door. The sky wheel and beach are at least 25 to 30 minutes away.

Front desk was always very friendly and helpful. Very nice people. They would help you any way they can. Breakfast was decent - wish they provided maybe a bagel or english muffin. They had a coffee and tea station. Juice, yogurt, fruit, eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, grits. It was perfect to start the day. Our room some of the lights worked and then they didnt. I forgot to mention that to the front desk. Overall for our stay it was fine as we are looking to move there and we were able to see family and friends. There is a pool which was clean and we saw the pool guys at least 2x while we were in the room. I would stay there again. It's a perfect location to Cherry Grove, Calabash/Sunset Beach and Highway 17 that has restaurants all over and shopping.

Only thing i wish pool was right at motel where you didn't have to walk in parking lot

Let me start off saying the man at the check-in desk was great. Very friendly. That’s where the positive ends. This place was dirty, old and run down. The pool was the size of the bathroom. Very small. The pillows weren’t even as big as throw pillows. The bed was hard. A salon was on the first floor and it wreaked of perms and hair spray. Major water damage on the ceilings, tv remote didn’t work, hot and cold mixed up in shower with no water pressure. Toilet tissue beyond thin. People blasting music, etc. I’m pretty sure people live there kinda like an extended stay. I was beyond grossed out. Never again.

The location was great. Close to shopping and restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The whole place could use some new carpet and paint, as it was quite dated. Also, the pool was extremely small. Overall it was was fine for a short visit.

The hotel and our room were clean. The staff was very personable. The back door to the property did not lock so anyone could walk into the property.

The property had laundry facilities for the guest, I was not able to use as they were using them for their own personal use. The bed sheets were clean but the bed smelled like urine.

The room was updated and very clean. I felt comfortable because as soon as we walked in you could tell the room was clean and sanitized. The floors were beautiful the bathroom was clean .. overall great stay. We had our wedding reception there after having a small chapel/ beach ceremony 10 years ago so it was nice to return and just reminisce.

Room was extremely damp, the AC unit puddled up all over the floor. Room would have been fine but being so damp caused an unpleasant stay. Furniture in the room had stains and the wooden table had graffiti carved into it.

1. There was hair everywhere from the previous guest - it was even smeared all over the bathroom door. 2. The fridge was leaking water onto the floor. 3. The chairs in the room are stained with white crust. 4. Half of the outlets in our room didn’t work. 5. The biggest reason of all - our room reeked of cigarette smoke. Immediately after checking in and entering the room, we requested ANY available room. The manager on duty told us that it was a nonsmoking room so that didn’t make sense and gave us a can of Lysol, but made sure to mention that we had to return it back to him before leaving for dinner. We asked again for ANY available room and without checking he said he couldn’t do anything for us. We sprayed down the room, turned every fan on high, and left for 5 hours with the plan of just sleeping and leaving immediately in the early morning. The smell was so bad that my wife woke up around 5am sick to her stomach. We will never stay here again and urge you to use your money towards a different hotel. We will be reaching out to corporate about our stay especially in regards to the service and cigarette smell.

Wifi was out a couple hours the first night. Air condictioning brought moisture into the room, Breakfast was not great and the start at 7:00 am made it difficult for 8:00 am tee times. Appreciated the call that I had left my insulin in the refrigerator!

I waited an hour and 45 minutes to be checked in to the hotel. The room was very dirty, and the bedspread has spots on it.

The room was very damp. The air conditioner leaked on the floor. If you left any article of clothing on a chair, the next morning it was damp. Maintenance was unavailable because it was the weekend. We were given the option to move to a different room, but declined because we already had our belongings spread out in the room and in the drawers and closet.

Bath tub n floors were dirty n slimy

I have stayed here in the past, this time the room had an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. I was not pleased that none of the cleaning staff or supervisors took care of this prior to listed it as vacant!

Nice pool. Good breakfast. After departing adult who slept on sofa ended up with bed bug bites.

The hotel smelled funny and like smoke despite being smoke free. Air humid throughout. AC struggled and its still cool out for SC. Adjoining door was NOT locked. Huge safety oversight by staff. Severely understaffed. Trash and laundry in halls waiting to be picked up. Maid service only avaliable every 3 days. I have never been uncomfortable in a hotel before and I've staying in some questionable places over the years but this one made me uneasy. I checked out by 720am because I couldnt wait to leave.

We stayed in a room next to the elevator. It was noisey. The walls i believe are paper thin. I could here ppl talking at all hours. The bed was very comfortable. The room was ok. TV remote was horrible!

The bed is entirely too soft. It made my back issues worse.

Newly remodeled room was nice. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, water was hot and fixtures were new. Breakfast was below average. Staff was friendly.

Close to everything, spacious room(2 double bed) Only mattress was loud when you’re moving that was kind of annoying Overall good hotel

Everything was OK, but the AC was extremely noisy, you can’t really sleep.

The staff was very friendly. A coffee station available at all times was great since we're early risers.

Room appeared new—plenty of space, with 2 comfy chairs to sit in and watch TV. Room had a fridge and microwave.

The metal bed frame was noisy, but I slept well.

The mattress was awful. Everytime you moved it would squeak.

Good price, ok breakfast. Clean. Big room. Air conditioner all night long sounded like a hurricane & raine hitting a window.

I’ll start with the good. The room smelled nice and was fairly clean. The bad was kinda crazy honestly. First, the caulking around the windows in my room was coming apart and wasps were coming in. I’m allergic so it was kind of scary. I called the front desk, they didn’t do anything about it so I used toilet paper to plug up the gaps. Then the tub wouldn’t drain. I called again and they offered for me, the paying customer, to come get a plunger and try to plunge the clog out. I said no that they needed to just move my room. They agreed to. I was given a key for a run that was occupied. Imagine my surprise when I went to the new room with all my belongings and found it occupied. Imagine the surprise of the occupant. I went back down to the desk to tell the attendant and he didn’t believe me until he went back upstairs and checked the room himself. Then he suddenly remembered that he moved someone in there? It seemed fishy af. The bed was uncomfortable. Like bad uncomfortable. The small refrigerator in the first room was more like a freezer. The breakfast was not great. They were working on the floor and they closed off a good section of the lobby and everyone had to use the back door which they kept unlocked so anyone could walk in. It wasn’t great. It was clean enough though.

Love staying here. Mr. Laurence at the desk is absolutely amazing. My only shtick and it’s a small one is that the shampoo and conditioner bottles are mounted too high on the shower wall and hard to reach.

Reasonable rates for peak time im the Grand Strand. In a quieter part of the Grand Strand. Service was excellent and room was clean. Decent Breakfast and free parking

Staff was very helpful and professional.

Booked two rooms however the hotel only had one room for our party and told me it wasn't their problem and they were not responsible. Thankfully Expedia found us another hotel. The next morning i was told by their quality inn staff that it was in fact their mistake they missed the 2nd booking

Very easy to drive to and close to the attractions. Close to nice beaches too.

Perfect spot right off the highway, about 9 minutes from north MB, has a large shopping center right across the street and plenty of options for food nearby.

The location was perfect for staying at the beach without paying beach hotel prices.

Breakfast wasn't bad. Its really the staff and location that keeps me returning. Location is within walking distance of many restaurants and some locations with live entertainment. Staff is always friendly and good for a laugh at times.

Loved the suite. Did not like the breakfast - coffee was horrible, very few options for food.

Breakfast was well below acceptable, outside of the waffles the other offerings were terrible! Showering in luke warm water every morning made us glad to return home!

The free breakfast was cold cereal and little else but coffee.

No hot water on the first day. The free breakfast was pretty bad with very little offerings. We went out to a restaurant and paid vs the "free breakfast".

Checked in 10:30 at night to a welcoming and friendly clerk who was very personable. Checked out at 7:15 next morning. Only disappointment was the breakfast if you want to call it that. Self made waffles, toast and two types of cereal and oh yea bananas. Was expecting something a little more than four things. Had to go to a drive through when I usual am satisfied from the complimentary breakfast.

We stayed one night and it was easy check in, very clean rooms and facilities. The staff were very pleasant and wonderful. The breakfast was very yummy.
