Check in was great; quick and easy. The person at the desk was very nice. The room was clean. There was something stuffed down the drain, but didn’t clog it. The beds themselves were comfortable and the comforter was the right thickness. The pillows were terrible. They were extremely flat. If you like fluffy pillows, bring your own. Pool was nice and a good size, but the water was extremely cold. The ice machine was in a different building from our room. The room door lock didn’t work, so I called the front desk to let them know about it and they said that they didn’t lock because of city ordinance (not sure what that means). We tried looking for the arcade the site said the hotel had, but couldn’t locate it. We had breakfast at the restaurant on site. It was small, but nice and decently priced. We went right when it opened at 8am. There was only one worker in there at the time; her coworkers were running late. She was very nice and got us our food in a timely matter. This would probably be a place I’d stay at again if I couldn’t find anything cheaper and just as close to Cedar Point.

Explaining it now that the pictures that are advertised for the wolf inn are deeply faked. My friend and I trusted them to be able to make sure the room was clean there were butt stains wet stains on the chairs the floor had dead bugs under the bed, they did not clear out the trash cans, the bathroom had black mold, the bathroom was not clean, it had pieces of chipped paint in the tub, the pool was not filtered you could see the dirt on people, and you could tell they didn't clean their pool constantly. There was a lot wrong with the room. My proof is down below in the pictures provided so if you decide to stay in Sandusky. I highly recommend a Super 8 a motel 8 or one of the chain places. Do not stay here at the Wolf inn

Great hotel close to cedar point! Love the tiki huts and pool,staff is wonderful! They’ve renovated most of the rooms. A lot of the rooms have roku TVs which is great so we can watch Tubi tv. Great no frills hotel old but clean. Lots of character and close to everything. Stay here every time we go to cedar point.

It's a cute place and served our needs. The door was loose and difficult to open. Sheets were very wrinkled and mattress cover was stained or dirty. We were happy to have the fridge/freezer and microwave. Pool was lovely.

How this hotel has any positive ratings is beyond me. This was the most run down, dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. For starters, after our arrival on the first night and getting settled in, I noticed bed bugs (multiple) crawling on the walls by the headboard. It was past 11:30pm and we were exhausted so I asked for a different room after taking the night manager up to the room personally to show him the bed bugs. He was apologetic but only places in a room two doors down on the same side which didn't give me much comfort. I didn't find any bed bugs in this room but didn't sleep well the next two nights because of the fact that they existed just two doors down. The two rooms that we personally were in were so run down. The last time this place was renovated was easily in the '80s and probably not properly cleaned in years. I can't stress enough how dirty/run down this whole place is. Also, room wasn't as promised, no wolf theme. All the furniture was very old, a small TV with no remote, cable junction box hanging out of the wall. The windows look like they've never been cleaned. They all had some type of weird hazy film that put a damper on any type of view. The staff members I did run into mopping the hallway or picking up trash were no one I would remotely leave my children near, and that's not an exaggeration. Unfortunately there's not enough room left to right how bad this place was. Do not stay here no matter how cheap it's being offered, it's not worth it.

Service was great front desk was super nice... complex is just very dated and not very clean... the pool area looked nice and the pool appeared clean and inviting. Rooms were dirty with cigarette burns in the carpet and bed sheets, walls were scuffed with dirt streaks and the AC unit was very filthy blowing out debris

This place was absolutely disgusting. Everything was dirty, the bedding, the towels. It smelled like mold. It looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. There was bugs. The bathtub was peeling and there was hair everywhere. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years.

Room was filthy. Found a bag of trash underneath the sink that had to been there awhile. Knats flying all around it. Bed clothing was stained and dirty! Floors had hairballs all in it. Trash found around the beds. Towels were stained black. People dealing drugs at night and smelled highly of Marijuana. Desk had a drawer thay was broken and fell off on my foot. The photos on the page look nothing like it when u get there. Needs updated badly! Its literally disgusting!!! I nevrr complain but this is the worst place ive ever stayed and ive stayed a lot of cheap places.

check in at counter was good but when we went to room checked sheets found hair on sheets and some kind of bugs on bed. we immediately went to front desk informed them this was unacceptable, and we would find somewhere else to stay. They said expedia would refund the cost to card used.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Very ran down. We booked multiple rooms. Holes in bedding. We had to clean our bathtubs before we used them. One of our rooms had not been cleaned. All rooms had damage such benches broken and cosmetic marks such as big dents in the fridge. Food crumbs all over the floor and used plastic ware. The desk had marijuana and white residue lines all over it. The ceiling panels in all rooms had evidence of stained water leaks. Toilets were the only clean items. TV's didnt work, lights didn't work. Regulars were allowed to cut in the line of those checking in and were told "we can't wait until the off season". The only reason they got a 2-star was because the beds were comfy. The smell in the whole place is horrible. Cat pee or something like that strong. If you are a family, go somewhere else. If you want a romantic night, go somewhere else. Not worth being close to attractions such as cedar point.

We just needed a place to take a shower and lay our heads for the night. The reviews led me to believe this was an affordable, no frills, but clean option. I agree with the no frills - to the point that there was only a sheet and thin blanket, no coverlet on the beds, no towels in the room, no soap, no toilet paper, and no trash can. 😔 We were able to get towels and toilet paper from the gentleman at the front desk who was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, I cannot agree with the cleanliness - there were a multitude of marks on the walls and box springs, stains on the mattress and box springs, and remnants of dust and hair behind the bathroom door and in all the corners. It was cheap, but I still don’t think we got what we paid for. The door also left me a little concerned for security. I would not have stayed here without my husband. I don’t think we will try this place again.

Absolutely dirty. Our socks turned black in minutes from the floors. Even after the fourth day. Tub was very dirty. Baseboards have never been cleaned. Sheets were dirty. Checked for bed bugs. No bed bugs. Yet?? Lots of people living in motel. Didn’t feel safe at night outside on motel. Saw cleaning guy go into several rooms for cleaning with a broom and towels. He was out of each room in less than 5 minutes!! Do not stay here!!!!

We loved the wolves and skeletons out front. Our door took a little more effort into making sure it was secured than I would have liked. The AC didn't work right. Other than that, we'd stay here again.

The hotel was great for what we needed. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are dated but clean and quiet. The mattresses are where the issue is. We were put in the 2nd building, attached to Jolly Donor, and the mattresses were flat and quite uncomfortable. And the pillows were flat. Bathroom was clean and towels were okay. The pool and outdoor decor was nice!

It was a great price It's close to Cedar Point. The room was comfortably big with two beds. Shower was hot. Microwave worked fridge worked. TV worked. The parks right outside the door to the building. Oh one complaint though: The deadbolt didn't work. The electric door handle locked but the deadbolt didn't work! The backup the lock you awake flip with your hand worked. There was a couple large tables in the room so we pushed one of those in front of it as well. Place seemed to be pretty full of people passing through for work and families for Cedar Point. I mean it's not my first hotel choice in general but it was our last minute emergency motel on a budget and it worked out great! The price could not be beat. And it was very clean.

The king bedroom was pretty good to stay and sleep. The only problem was, there's no electric outlet in the bathroom or by the night stand. The double bed room needs a little cleaning and the room had a smell in the air. There's no garbage can in the room, so we just use groceries bag. The bathroom had no toliet tissue holder. The bed was hard. My cots probably more comfortable than the double bed.

The toothless piece of white trash behind the counter was rude as hell. No skill set in working with people. Especially when he told me to f k off and go f. k myself. That was really nice. I would say more but expedia is censoring this post. Probably because i have nothing nice to say about that horrible place.

The Wolf Inn is average, but I would book again. The carpet was very dirty (my socks showed it) but I did book a smoking room. I had a room up front near the office and would only stay in that row. The back of the property was a little sketchy. Staff was super nice and helpful and you can't beat the location.

Let me start with that this hotel is exactly what I expected for the cost of a night. The room was small and had the "landlord special" vibe to it. But it was clean and comfortable for the night we stayed. Staff at the front was welcoming and nice. Pool looked nice but didn't get a chance to use it. If you don't demand luxury and want a clean room that is close to Cedar Point and don't want to spend an arm and a leg, this place works well. Again it may not be 5 star, but I didn't pay 5 star money for it, so it lived up to all expectations and requirements.

Dated motel- certainly a bit worn but appeared clean. Bedding could use an update as pillows and comforter are very used. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to sleep, this would got your needs. 2 restaurants attached. The donut shop has much more than donuts and is priced great. Pool looked clean and well kept. I cannot say enough about the excellent customer service from the front desk folks!! Extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area! We would stay here again

I can see all the work that is going on at this property. Our room had what looked like new tile floors, new ceiling, clean, comfy beds. A fresh coat of paint on the walls would do wonders. I would have liked a deadlock on the door from the inside but it couldn't be opened from the outside without the electronic card key. We had some noisy neighbors smoking in front of their room a few doors down at 2:30 am but that wasn't the Wolf's Inn fault, just rude people. I would stay again. I liked the kitschy decorations around the property. I can see why it would not be for everyone but I'm a adventurous traveler. I just want a clean, safe place to sleep. The staff was very nice.

Very affordable, yet clean and comfortable. Not updated at all but overall a great value. Excellent, affordable donut and breakfast shop at the end of the building is convenient. They really go all out on theming, wolf statues and comforters, skeletons riding a bike and fishing in the pool, etc. Makes it unique.
