St Clair Inn and Suites

While the room was tolerable, there were at least 8-10 stinking cats loitering around the front door, inside the lobby and even in the clerks area. The hallways smelled like cat urine on the first floor and a strong smell of marijuana permeated the second floor. They advertised a bar an a pool, the bar has been closed for at least five years and the pool is also closed. Would NOT recommend this place and I definitely will not stay there again.

Several cats outside front door with feeding dish. Another cat in lobby jumping up in front counter. Was greeted at counter by man wearing stained white t-shirt. Staff was pleasant. Had some ants in bathroom eating something on floor when we first arrived. Tub faucet heavy dripping, could not shut off. Bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast consisted of cheerios, cornflakes, oatmeal and a loaf of bread. No fruit, bagels, etc. Fire alarm went off twice just before we checked out. Firemen came out twice.

They have multiple vehicles with flat tires in the lot. They also do not have continental breakfast or a working lounge. The experience was extremely unprofessional. They also charged my bank twice.

Check in was smooth this time. 4th stay, finally no hard time for booking on line. Thank you! Still a $$ hold because I booked online, but no hassle about not wanting to upgrade upon arrival. Again thank you! It hC been a very long day already. Easy check in and straight up to the room. It's a great $40 room, single queen bed. No it's not fancy or updated. No the vending machines are not stocked. This time the ice wasn't working either. But it's easy access to the highway, convenient for area food etc. One night stay , quiet hotel. The bed is fine, the pillows thin. This is not a resort or vacation hotel. This was the first shower I've taken there, decent water flow, clean but no wash cloths. This is an easy access, quiet, one night on the road hotel.

When I arrived, the front desk man first told me that he couldn't find my reservation, and he told me I should have just showed up at the desk and they would have charged me just $60.00 for the room. Since I had already prepaid for my stay (for less than $60.00) I started looking for proof of my prepaid reservation. Then he suddenly found the reservation in papers that he had at the desk. He then told me he only had a couple rooms of the size I wanted. I told him that I didn't have to single queen size bed room, and he could substitute another room type. He said there was an extra charge if I wanted to get a different room, so I decided to take the room I reserved, even though he discouraged me from taking it. When I arrived in the room I found that the curtain wouldn't stay closed, and the vent fan in the bathroom wasn't working. Since it was very late, I decided to just stay and not complain. When I woke up in the morning I found that there was no wash cloth, no tissues, and very warm water was coming out of the cold water taps on the sink and tub until they had been running about two minutes. The volume control on the TV remote was intermittent. Also, there are what seemed like abandoned vending machines (unplugged and with no products in them) in the lobby. The hotel definitely needs a lot of maintenance, replacement of worn fixtures, decorating, etc.

Staff was good... the rooms.. not so much. Kitchenette in the room but no coffee maker. Had to ask for washcloths. Pool closed. Probably won't sray here again.

Check in guy, was pushing for an upsell, he wasn't happy that I'd booked on line and complained about it through the whole check in experience. The room was adequate. Easy access to the highway. This is a one night stay location, not a destination hotel. But $39 a room it served it's 1 night on the way purpose. Vending machines were empty, but plenty of restraunts and a grocery store were very close.

Nice people who owned the place and the employees were great . Let me check out an hour later , due to some pending business I had to take care of , at no additional charge . The room was clean and the hotel was quiet at night .

They had cats running around the outside and inside. Blankets were stained.

Problems checking in, checked in to non smoking room when we reserved a smoking suite, was moved to smoking suite, both rooms full of stink bugs and other bugs as well, room not clean, tiles cracked and dirty

It was terrible the place was disgusting there were cats in side hotels running around smelled like cat pee place was dirty our room the bathroom was flooded due to Ceiling leaking dont even know how they could serve breakfast with cats running around the hallways we demanded our money back witch was supposed to be put on our card but hasn't showed up yet and had to go stay somewhere else i wouldn't let my dog stay there it was really bad

I didn't appreciate the fact that they placed a hold on my credit card for $150 and I hated the fact that the place was crawling with cats which I am deathly allergic to so I had to carry an EPI pen in my pocket the whole time I was there. I had fleas in my room that probably came from the damn cats. Fortunately, I carry a towel and washcloth with me everywhere I travel because there were no washcloths in the bathroom and the clerk didn't tell me until I checked out that they didn't have any washcloths and people were supposed to use the hand towels for washcloths. That would have been nice to know before I had to use mine.

This is dn easy access hotel with plenty of food & retail close. The hotel is no frills, older, & dated... But it's beds (or rm 214)are comfortable, full water pressure for a decent shower 🚿. It's quiet and convenient.

The room was horrible. Bed very uncomfortable and sheets were not clean. Tv remote did not change channels only catoons. No breakfast. We wanted a refund for second day but associate said manager wouldn't be back till monday this was Saturday morning. horrible,

I am allergic to cats. There was an area set up right outside the front door with a blanket, water and food that a cat was on. Door didn’t shut all the way. Once inside there was another cat in the main lobby area. It was also right outside my door as I left.

So i walk in had to wait 15 minutes before anyone came to the desk to talk to me and when he got there he was rude and told us immediately about 150 dollar charge because we were internet people im not happy about my stay and will never be coming back

Well…I am honestly shocked that Expedia would list this hotel on their site. I booked the hotel and for $39.99 a night didn’t have high expectations. When I showed up they wanted an additional $300.00 as a security deposit. The other option the offered me was an additional $40.00 per night which brought the room up to $80.00 a night. This was a complete rip off and I would tell anyone to avoid this hotel at all costs. The hotel was not very clean and there are cats everywhere to include inside the facility. To get the room for $40.00 a night you expect less than great but to be forced to either pay an additional $300.00 or $40.00 a night is a complete and total rip off. Best to find somewhere else to stay!!!

Cat lovers will absolutely rush to this place and rave about it! There are at least two cats living in the lobby area where the breakfast bar and tables are housed. While some might love it, I think a call to the health authorities is warranted. The room itself was adequate and clean. I will skip this property in the future.

If you are allergic or just don’t like cats this place is not for you. Personally, I adore cats. And they deter mice. They didn’t have a breakfast in the morning, though even though they kind of had a set up and the coffee was lukewarm. I would stay there again if I happen to put it again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.
