Sleep Inn & Suites Conference Center and Water Park

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and the beds were alright, comfort wise. We booked for 5 people and were given a room with 2 queen beds. Thought it was silly that we had to pay for a cot. And $35 is a little much. We opted not to, since the price was ridiculous and my child had to sleep on the floor. We ended up booking another night prior to our first night for the kids to use the water park. It was fun, water seemed clean and it was a good temp, however the cleanliness of the stairs going up to the slides was gross. Dirty bandaids in a couple spots. Also was worried about my kids slipping in the steps. The traction take on most steps was faded or peeled away. Felt unsafe. The steps on the far side were very slippery and need work. The floors in the changeroom area needs some mats or something. My daughter ended up slipping on the floor. Any amount of water on that floor from people going in and out made it very dangerous. Over all it was a good stay but there needs to be work done in that water park.

It is a great location as it is connected to the mall and central to the city. However, with it being such a busy and good location you would think they would invest some money in updates and standard repairs. Looks very worn down and the pool was freezing cold. The kids had blue lips from swimming.

The water slides were all shut down.the kiddy pool was also shut down it is not the cleanest place. We seen nicer looking places for less and choose to stay her based on the water park. Staff was pleasant thought room was clean just dusty flags up in lobby. Get kicked off wifi constantly and have to watch video to get back on

Waterpark is extremely loud and appears unkempt. Mold growing and rust on stairs going up to the slides, bolts exposed at the bottom of the toddler slide. Water is cold, hot tub is Luke warm at best. Needs a serious update, actually moved to another hotel and will not be returning here. Save your money and star somewhere else.

This was by far the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. The kids’ pool was closed, the regular pool was freezing cold, and the hot tub was both cold and dirty. The hallways were full of garbage, and our room smelled strongly of smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. Within 10 minutes in the so-called “hot tub” I developed a rash, and my child’s allergies were triggered from the smoky room. We checked out less than two hours after checking in because it was unbearable. Wish I could get my money back. We will never return and do not recommend this place to anyone.

Our room smelled stale and like an ash tray even though it was a non smoking room. The pool was absolutely disgusting. There was trash and other unidentifiable substances floating around in the pool and the hot tub. The area around the pool was unkept. There were no pool towels provided even though they said they provided. The hallways were full of trash and desperately needed to be vacuumed. We will never stay here again! The front desk was complaining while checking me in that the “damn phone wouldn’t stop ringing” she then said people should be out drinking instead of calling and bugging the hotel.

Rooms were clean, breakfast was great. Very disappointed in the pool and hot tub. Pools were too cold for our family to go in. The hot tub wasn’t overly hot, and had paint chipping on the bottom made it sharp on the feet. Disappointed as we chose that hotel specially for the pool/ hot tub amenity

We would never go back. Hotel is dirty and unsafe. Rooms filthy. Bathroom towel rack and shower door full of rust. Carpets felt like they had never seen a vacuum. The pool should be shut down. The entire pool and hot tub was filthy and I mean filthy. Not to mention all the mold on the walls and ceiling. The plaster around the hot tub and pools is litterally missing in multiple places. Rust all along the pool and hot tub. Railing going into the hot tub os not secure and very wobbly. The hot tub is huge and about 6 jets work in the entire thing. Only 1 of 3 slides work. The one the goes outside is blocked by a rough piece of plywood which is not safe at all. The arcade is so dirty i would not let my kids touch any of the games. You can clearly see nothing in this hotel gets properly cleaned or sanitized. The breakfast was so hard and crusty. Looked like it was sitting out for days. We didn’t dare try it. I honestly wouldnt pay 50.00 for a room here and they are charging 180 plus. Whoever owns this hotel clearly is not putting any money whatsoever back into the place. If things were fixed, cleaned and maintained. This hotel would be awesome as its in a prime spot connected to a mall. I actually made reservations for this weekend as well as next weekend. But after being here this weekend. That was enough and we promptly canceled for next weekend and booked with a much cleaner, properly maintained and managed. This hotel needs to be reported!!! Gross!!!!

The hotel is in terrible condition, the rooms smell musty. Hard water stains all over the shower doors. The pool is hardly even safe. The kiddie slides have chipped fibreglass, the paint is chipping everywhere, broken water features, the stairs on the way up to the big slides are missing non slip material, there is green mold/slime on the stairs and one of the big water slides was shut down and not working. I wouldn’t stay there again.

We could not get into our room until 5 PM. The hot tub was not working. One of the waterslides was closed. And the breakfast in the morning was not very good at all and most of the stuff was not replaced until late. No coffee when we came for breakfast

The staff are friendly and helpful. But our sheets were dirty. Towels have stains. The room smelt like wet dog.

Shower leaked all over the floor and was full of mold, they left no towels for showering. The carpet in the room was dirty and sticky. The room smelled bad

Bedding was all stained when checked in had to change rooms. Staff was fantastic very apologetic and accommodating. However the new room was not much better there was black mold all around the bottom of the toilet caulking. Tried using one the public restrooms in the morning and not one was clean enough for use they where absolutely gross.

Our room was dirty, there was food on the floor. Crumbs everywhere and literally olives on my floor. Blood stained sheets and hair in the sheets. Holes in the comforters. Moldy shower curtains. Despite the room that was the least of my worries. The pool area is ATROCIOUS! It is covered in brown scum. Another parent and I watched 4 kids slip and fall in a matter of a half hour and sure as heck 20 min later my child had slipped on the scum getting out of the pool slide and split her forehead open to the point of needing stitches. When I notified staff, they acted like it was no big deal and happens every day. I get accidents happen but clean your pool and take things seriously! There aren’t even caution: May be slippery signage posted. Half of the letters that state how tall you need to be to ride the slide are missing. And although I took off for the Dr office to go get stitches after I informed staff that their pool was full of blood, I was informed nothing was done with the pool when my daughters blood was all over the side of it where kids get in and out! Talk about a biohazard! 2days in a row at breakfast I watched I lady spill hot coffee all over the tiled floor and the breakfast attendant was hiding in her closet no where to be found so I was on my hands and knees cleaning it up in a timely manner so no child would slip and fall in the mess. The VERY NEXT DAY, I was again cleaning waffle batter up as the attendant was no where to be found and kids were slipping.

Love the area , love the hotel. The carpet in our room was absurd. We had to wear shoes or else our feet would turn black. I’m not a big germ guy but that was next level gross.

Front desk staff were nice. Room was filthy and cleaning staff never came by to clean our room. Location is good but other than that probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Room had looked like someone was watching tv recently, lamps dirty, chair had white stains everywhere, carpet was ripping up everywhere, room felt very sticky, toilet still in use from previous person, tv did not work.

Fire alarm went off twice during our stay but exit doors locked. Also room lighting very dim.

Wifi was not very good and tv wasn’t working. Tried to call front desk and no answer.

The room door had about a quarter inch gap that you could see out into the hallway as well as into room. The bed mattress’s looked like someone had being murdered on them. Very soiled dirty mattress’s. The room also wasn’t very clean the wife was cleaning it as soon as we entered it.

Overall the place was great. This is the first time I have so say the sleepless night we’re horrible. The bed was the worst part ever. Throughout the year’s we’ve stayed at this hotel we’ve never had an issue with anything until this time. My back has never hurt so bad. Even though we love this hotel we’re definitely going to find a different place so stay when we do go need to stay in that area.

Extremely loud ac unit which constantly blew the window curtains open exposing enormous amount of light throughout the night. Additionally, sitting on the bed you felt the bottom supports of the bed frame while the bed itself collapsed under minimal weight.

Slow check in. Room had piles of dust bunnies and garbage. Hide-a-bed had a terrible odour. Weak wifi.

I got the regular room with two queen beds. Good thing, because the first bed, the box spring had obviously collapsed so I had to use the second bed. This one smelled like cigarette smoke. The rest of the facilities were pretty beat up and run down. For fifty dollars this place would be okay, but for a hundred fifty, its about a hundred dollars overpriced. However, the breakfast was pretty good.

Had to call maintenance to fix the door as it would not latch shut, sink took 5 minutes to drain, and a piece of metal from the bed frame cut my daughters leg.

Everything about this stay was excellent except for the beds. Very uncomfortable.

The room was ok. The pool area was gross. Mold growing pretty bad and the water had so much chlorine in it, my family only stayed 30min. I waited 20 minutes at the front desk to check in and no one answered the phone number on their sign when I called. The hotel is pet friendly, but we never found any grassy area to walk our dog, and all the areas around the hotel were filled in with big rocks. The breakfast was also had no bread, bagels, or muffins out, only one of the four juice options was in working order, and the coffee wasn't working. I'm assuming the afternoon front desk attendant had their teenager at the hotel while they were working because when we went to our room there was a boy and girl sitting in the hall outside our room that immediately left the area when we approached, but they were later laying on top of each other on the sofa in the lobby, then were back in the hall by our room, and our kids saw the same strange behavior when they were in the pool from the same couple. It just felt awkward. I don't usually complain in reviews, but there was a lot lacking at this hotel for the extra amenities we intended to utilize. So if the pool, breakfast, or pet friendly appeal of this hotel is why you're looking at this hotel, I hope my review is helpful. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

The breakfast area ran out of food the first day, so there weren't many happy people that morning. The check-in clerk was clearly bored with his job and didn't even say hello when I came to check in. We'll never stay here again, despite the good location.

Wasn’t able to check in until 6:30 pm, to a $330 suite. Tried for 3 hours to get in, and wasn’t given a time frame or eta during that other than “come check again in a half hour”

We were able to check in early, room was clean, staff was friendly!

I didnt like that they didnt replace towels, toiley paper or any other things unless you were there for more than 5 days.

Was disappointed that they dont check towel need or garbage take out each day if my stay..said they will if there 5 days or more

Location was good for a conference, but the mall is very disappointing. Breakfast is included - but hardly anything there, compared to other continental breakfasts. Rooms are ok - but housekeeping only every 3rd day, so if you want clean towels, go ask for them. Not a place we will rush back to.

The fact that we could use Splash Park, enjoy continental breakfast and easy access to shopping in the Dakota square...Awesome

Liked that you could walk down the hall and enter the Dakota Square Mall just off your hotel room.

Property needs upgrades but overall clean and convenient location

For my big family, we like to check in The Sleep inn and suites due to its convenience for parking area, swimming facilities, access to the mall , clean and friendly environment.

The waterpark is great for families! A little dingy, could use some deep cleaning/painting. Rooms were clean. Only complaint was the quality of the continental breakfast. Pretty bad, and I'm not usually very picky for free breakfasts. overall we enjoyed our stay!

It was fine. I'm glad that I had a discounted rate. Wouldn't probably stay here again their regular rate price. The pool area was really dirty, and garbage around while we were there. There were no portable cribs/pack n plays available, even tho it says there are on Expedia. The staff at the breakfast seemed absolutely miserable. And we're honestly kind of rude anytime someone tried talking to them.

This hotel is showing its age. Rooms are ok but our bathroom had a area near the shower that looked like mold. We went to the Hot Tub one night and the bottom was filled with some type of grit. The walls appeared moldy, the stairs are rusting. The breakfast was good but they have closed part of the breakfast room which made it very hard to find a place to sit. Went down to the lounge which said closed at 2 but bar staff kicked everyone out at 1.

We were told on check in that one slide was not open, but was not told the hot tub was also down. The hot breakfast was terrible. The hash browns must have been out for hours, were soft, dry and very salty. The eggs had been out with a long time too and the sausages were dried out, looked more like cat turds.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The only thing that I would say to improve on is that the staff that runs breakfast, makes sure that everything is up and working. The juice machine wasn’t on and we were down there around 8:30. I asked when someone appeared about fifteen minutes later about the machine. He turned it on then I was able to have juice. There was two families with children in there before who just had to get water from the sink for their children.

The free breakfast is good.

Hotel is well loved, very high traffic with the water park attached. Paper thin walls, could hear every conversation in the halls and next rooms as clear as day. Food smears/fingerprints on the walls, the free breakfast was pretty pitiful. Juice machine out of order and limited options. Mystery liquid in one of the elevators for most of our stay even after alerting staff and seeing one of them exit the elevator. On the plus side, very convenient to be attached to the mall for shopping, movies or heading to Tilt and of course the water park.
