Fabulous location and amenities for a group trip. The kids spent 12 hours outside each day and still had games we never even touched! Beware there is not an ounce of shade, but this is a great place to make wonderful memories and the best stocked property we've been to.

I rented this for a reunion on Memorial Day weekend with my 3 siblings and elderly Mom plus our grown children with spouses/others. There was one child- total 18. We loved that the main house has 4 Kings with ensuite bathrooms. The fifth bedroom doesn’t have a bathroom but can easily be shared with the master. My siblings and Mom all stayed in the main house while all the cousins took the guest house. The sleeping accommodations are all very comfortable with ample room and high quality bedding and beds. The a/c works well throughout. The kitchen area was amazing. We spent a lot of time hanging in the kitchen/keeping room just off it and dining area every morning with our coffee. We loved the big table for dinners! The outdoor area is amazing. In the mornings we played games, swam throughout day. It got dark around 8:45 so we played games late in the day. At night the game room was a hit. The theater room is awesome. We took in a matinee as a family one afternoon in the heat of the day. There’s plenty of room in this house to have separate activities and conversations. There’s something for everyone. Little shade outside. Be prepared. The house manager communicates well and responds quickly. We had a few issues with guest house wi-fi but she troubleshooted to get it working. Being this remote you should expect occasional issues like that. We had no issues in main house connecting wifi and TV. Amazing weekend!

Perfect property for college reunion of 10-14. Only downside is remote location away from Austin. But, if you’re looking for the perfect house that offers everything (indoor/oudoor activities, grill, smoker, pool, hot tub, several tv screens, indoor theatre, indoor and outdoor space, big dining table, etc, this is it.

Property was amazing! Everyone had a blast….and Amanda was so helpful and very accommodating. We loved that there was so many activities inside and out so that when it was too hot outside, we just moved to the inside games or theater room. Also, didn’t have to take our pool towels or extra toilet paper or paper towels….plenty supplied. As Amanda told me “all you need is your food and drinks”.

The 2 houses were outstanding. It was June Texas heat but air units were working exceptionally well. Although movie projector was inoperable, we appreciated the efforts that were made to remedy that. Pool lights also need repair. Overall our family of 19 had a great time! We would definitely consider returning to such a fun location.

We had our family reunion at this amazing property. Both houses are outfitted with everything you need. Our family loved the big open spaces in the house and we enjoyed movie time in the theater. The game room was also a popular gathering spot. The outdoor area is what separates this property from so many others. We played every game but spent most of our time on the pickleball court and playing miniature golf. The mini golf course is challenging and fun and exceeded our expectations! I also want to recognize, Izzy, the property manager. She communicated frequently prior to our trip and even called me the day before to run through all the details of the property. During our stay, she was available for a text or call and responsed immediately to any of our questions. Thank you Izzy! I highly recommend this property for any group who wants a peaceful getaway with lots of activities right on site.

Large, well kept property with all you need to enjoy some downtime. We played all the games, outdoor & indoor. (Even created a tournament around all the outdoor game stations). Enjoyed movies each night and really enjoyed the pool area. Lots of room for everyone to spread out and have their own quiet time!

The house was perfect for 19 of us. The house was well stocked and very spacious. Very nice amenities. We will rent again in spring or fall. I wish there was a 3rd full bathroom in the guest house since the guest house could sleep up to 10-12 people. We hosted an Olympic theme weekend with friends and enjoyed all the indoor and outdoor games. The house provided all the equipment for the games. There is zero shade outside so plan accordingly in the Texas heat.

Over the top accommodations that surpassed our expectations. Perfect for our group of 16 (room for more). 8/10 rooms with King size beds, which is rare. Loads of indoor space and the outdoor activities were so much fun. Between wedding festivities, we spent most of our time around the pool and hanging in the kitchen or game room. The property manager was communicative, and helpful providing referrals for local vendors. Awesome in every aspect and worth every cent.

This is an amazing property and very well maintained and the pictures are very accurate. The movie theatre and game room were awesome and used constantly. The backyard is huge and well-stocked with everything you need to enjoy all the options and activities. The entire property is well stocked, right down to having anything you need in the kitchen (and all was labeled too). If we had to find one thing we would add, and it was difficult to find one, I’d say an umbrella for shade at the pool would be a welcomed addition. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Incredible property inside and out. Immaculate! So much to do the grandchildren always had an activity to do instead of going back to their screens. Ending the night by the fire or in the movie theater was great family time together. This could not have been a nicer property.

My family had the pleasure to stay at this beautiful property and everything exceeded our expectations. The home has soaring ceilings and is so spacious- even better than the pictures. Every single room is beautifully appointed and the kitchen is stocked better than any other property we have stayed at in the past. It’s a chef’s kitchen, for sure! All amenities are first-class and the decor is truly inviting. The outstanding property managers checked in by phone to make sure we had everything we needed, which was nice for us to feel connected. The weather was cold and rainy during our stay but we still had plenty to do inside! The game room and movie theater were both perfect. We loved every part of this trip and feel so lucky to share this with our family. Definitely the best vacation rental experience we have had, without a doubt!

I have stayed at many places for work and for family events. This place was amazing. Better than the description online. The entire property is just beautiful and the views are amazing. But, the best part, is there is no wasted space! The rooms are the perfect size, the game room is huge, and the outdoor entertainment area is filled with every game. Izzy was amazing throughout the whole process and we had an amazing time. You cannot go wrong with this place, and it’s worth every penny!! we will definitely be booking again!

We had our family reunion here and there’s so much to like about this property. When you enter between the gates there are cute alpacas in the fenced area. One black and white little baby alpaca which was adorable. The main house is very spacious with several gathering areas. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. Some of the things we especially liked about the house was the game room, the movie theater, and the ability in the dining area to seat most of our group to eat at the same time. The kitchens are fully stocked with everything you need to cook and eat comfortably. We used the grill for hots and hamburgers one night and made chili the next. The game room was fun because we could corral our six little kids in there while the adults played cards and watched the football game. We had a large HEB grocery order delivered to the house about an hour after we arrived which was so helpful. We were able to store food easily with the pantry and two refrigerators in the kitchen. Another perk that I don’t think they mention in the description is the heated pool. We were told it is heated all year round, and some of our family really enjoyed it, even though it was cold outside. We played pickle ball, made s’mores one evening over the pit outside and played some of the games outside on the one day that was not freezing. On Saturday morning we went to the Wild Exotic Zoo about thirty minutes west of the home. It was a wonderful experience for all. We rode the

The house was perfect for 19 of us. The house was well stocked and very spacious. Very nice amenities. We will rent again in spring or fall. I wish there was a 3rd full bathroom in the guest house since the guest house could sleep up to 10-12 people. We hosted an Olympic theme weekend with friends and enjoyed all the indoor and outdoor games. The house provided all the equipment for the games. There is zero shade outside so plan accordingly in the Texas heat.

Over the top accommodations that surpassed our expectations. Perfect for our group of 16 (room for more). 8/10 rooms with King size beds, which is rare. Loads of indoor space and the outdoor activities were so much fun. Between wedding festivities, we spent most of our time around the pool and hanging in the kitchen or game room. The property manager was communicative, and helpful providing referrals for local vendors. Awesome in every aspect and worth every cent.

I have stayed at many places for work and for family events. This place was amazing. Better than the description online. The entire property is just beautiful and the views are amazing. But, the best part, is there is no wasted space! The rooms are the perfect size, the game room is huge, and the outdoor entertainment area is filled with every game. Izzy was amazing throughout the whole process and we had an amazing time. You cannot go wrong with this place, and it’s worth every penny!! we will definitely be booking again!

We had a wonderful time with our group of 20 friends/family! Everyone had plenty of space and we never needed to leave the house the entire weekend! The property had so much to do and was well furnished for all the activities. The host Andrea was extremely responsive to all our needs and was very easy to work with. We can’t wait to go back again!

We did a company leadership retreat at the resort and the experience was amazing! The days we used the theater area for our presentations, and got a chance to team bond cooking in the kitchen. Nights were spent talking by the fire pit and getting to know each other. It was an ideal location! The property manager was friendly and super responsive. No complaints at all!

Unfortunately we booked our family Christmas reunion when one of the coldest winters hit south Texas. We had several issues from frozen pipes to malfunctioning heating units but I could always depend on Andrea our property manager. Without her support this reunion would have been impossible. My family plans to come back to this beautiful venue in the future to enjoy everything offered at this extraordinary property.

This property was a really excellent place to host family and friends over a long weekend for my husband’s birthday. There were so many activities, people were able to split up as they wanted to go do whatever they were interested in, no boredom possible. The guest house was very cozy and not too far away from the main house. The main areas of the primary house were large enough for 15 to easily all gather together. Andrea, the property manager, was very kind and communicative throughout the weekend and in the lead up. The only recommendation I would have is to add some lights around the outdoor recreation area — this would make the space a lot more usable, particularly during the winter when the days are short. All in all it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend it.

Awesome property! We had an awesome time. We encountered a power outage due to a storm and loss power. Instant communication and fast response to send someone to help. All the amenities were so much fun especially if you are wanting to bind with your team. 5star all around.

We had our family reunion at this amazing property. Both houses are outfitted with everything you need. Our family loved the big open spaces in the house and we enjoyed movie time in the theater. The game room was also a popular gathering spot. The outdoor area is what separates this property from so many others. We played every game but spent most of our time on the pickleball court and playing miniature golf. The mini golf course is challenging and fun and exceeded our expectations! I also want to recognize, Izzy, the property manager. She communicated frequently prior to our trip and even called me the day before to run through all the details of the property. During our stay, she was available for a text or call and responsed immediately to any of our questions. Thank you Izzy! I highly recommend this property for any group who wants a peaceful getaway with lots of activities right on site.

This is an amazing property and very well maintained and the pictures are very accurate. The movie theatre and game room were awesome and used constantly. The backyard is huge and well-stocked with everything you need to enjoy all the options and activities. The entire property is well stocked, right down to having anything you need in the kitchen (and all was labeled too). If we had to find one thing we would add, and it was difficult to find one, I’d say an umbrella for shade at the pool would be a welcomed addition. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Our extended family of 20 vacations together every summer. Every year we travel to a new location….until this year. This is our second year to visit Hill Country Retreat. It’s hard to find any other home that fits everyone so comfortably. From early morning coffee to pickleball, putt putt, basketball, shopping and someone in the pool all day- it’s the ultimate family get together and bonding time. Andrea is always so responsive! Fabulous location and amenities for a group trip. The kids spent 12 hours outside each day and still had games we never even touched! Beware there is not an ounce of shade, but this is a great place to make wonderful memories and the best stocked property we've been to.

I rented this for a reunion on Memorial Day weekend with my 3 siblings and elderly Mom plus our grown children with spouses/others. There was one child- total 18. We loved that the main house has 4 Kings with ensuite bathrooms. The fifth bedroom doesn’t have a bathroom but can easily be shared with the master. My siblings and Mom all stayed in the main house while all the cousins took the guest house. The sleeping accommodations are all very comfortable with ample room and high quality bedding and beds. The a/c works well throughout. The kitchen area was amazing. We spent a lot of time hanging in the kitchen/keeping room just off it and dining area every morning with our coffee. We loved the big table for dinners! The outdoor area is amazing. In the mornings we played games, swam throughout day. It got dark around 8:45 so we played games late in the day. At night the game room was a hit. The theater room is awesome. We took in a matinee as a family one afternoon in the heat of the day. There’s plenty of room in this house to have separate activities and conversations. There’s something for everyone. Little shade outside. Be prepared. The house manager communicates well and responds quickly. We had a few issues with guest house wi-fi but she troubleshooted to get it working. Being this remote you should expect occasional issues like that. We had no issues in main house connecting wifi and TV. Amazing weekend!

Great getaway to celebrate 50th with friends. Property was exactly as advertised and so much fun! We didn't really want or need to leave as there's so much for a large group to do. Because F1 had all of the Austin hotels locked in a 5-night minimum stay for the week (@ $1,000 per night!!!), I needed a property big enough to accommodate my group of 10 guys……this place was in a word perfect! We were able to house everyone and have a very successful meeting. The sunsets and sunrises were so beautiful, and the llamas next door were an added bonus. Would definitely recommend for corporate retreats, family reunions, a girls’ weekend or wedding party! Fabulous property. Add it to your list!!!

We had our family reunion here and there’s so much to like about this property. When you enter between the gates there are cute alpacas in the fenced area. One black and white little baby alpaca which was adorable. The main house is very spacious with several gathering areas. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. Some of the things we especially liked about the house was the game room, the movie theater, and the ability in the dining area to seat most of our group to eat at the same time. The kitchens are fully stocked with everything you need to cook and eat comfortably. We used the grill for hots and hamburgers one night and made chili the next. The game room was fun because we could corral our six little kids in there while the adults played cards and watched the football game. We had a large HEB grocery order delivered to the house about an hour after we arrived which was so helpful. We were able to store food easily with the pantry and two refrigerators in the kitchen. Another perk that I don’t think they mention in the description is the heated pool. We were told it is heated all year round, and some of our family really enjoyed it, even though it was cold outside. We played pickle ball, made s’mores one evening over the pit outside and played some of the games outside on the one day that was not freezing. My family had the pleasure to stay at this beautiful property and everything exceeded our expectations. The home has soaring ceilings and is so spacious- even better than the pictures. Every single room is beautifully appointed and the kitchen is stocked better than any other property we have stayed at in the past. It’s a chef’s kitchen, for sure! All amenities are first-class and the decor is truly inviting. The outstanding property managers checked in by phone to make sure we had everything we needed, which was nice for us to feel connected. The weather was cold and rainy during our stay but we still had plenty to do inside! The game room and movie theater were both perfect. We loved every part of this trip and feel so lucky to share this with our family. Definitely the best vacation rental experience we have had, without a doubt!

The weather was cold and rainy during our stay but we still had plenty to do inside! The game room and movie theater were both perfect. We loved every part of this trip and feel so lucky to share this with our family. Definitely the best vacation rental experience we have had, without a doubt!

Property was amazing! Everyone had a blast….and Amanda was so helpful and very accommodating. We loved that there was so many activities inside and out so that when it was too hot outside, we just moved to the inside games or theater room. Also, didn’t have to take our pool towels or extra toilet paper or paper towels….plenty supplied. As Amanda told me “all you need is your food and drinks”.

We had our family reunion here and there’s so much to like about this property. When you enter between the gates there are cute alpacas in the fenced area. One black and white little baby alpaca which was adorable. The main house is very spacious with several gathering areas. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. Some of the things we especially liked about the house was the game room, the movie theater, and the ability in the dining area to seat most of our group to eat at the same time. The kitchens are fully stocked with everything you need to cook and eat comfortably. We used the grill for hots and hamburgers one night and made chili the next. The game room was fun because we could corral our six little kids in there while the adults played cards and watched the football game. We had a large HEB grocery order delivered to the house about an hour after we arrived which was so helpful. We were able to store food easily with the pantry and two refrigerators in the kitchen. Another perk that I don’t think they mention in the description is the heated pool. We were told it is heated all year round, and some of our family really enjoyed it, even though it was cold outside. We played pickle ball, made s’mores one evening over the pit outside and played some of the games outside on the one day that was not freezing. Over the top accommodations that surpassed our expectations. Perfect for our group of 16 (room for more). 8/10 rooms with King size beds, which is rare. Loads of indoor space and the outdoor activities were so much fun. Between wedding festivities, we spent most of our time around the pool and hanging in the kitchen or game room. The property manager was communicative, and helpful providing referrals for local vendors. Awesome in every aspect and worth every cent.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this house. We played endless games and had more than enough room for our stay. The house was fully stocked with everything that we could need to cook and clean. I would 100% rent this place again!

We had a great experience; the place is great for a large family meeting/getaway. There are plenty of sports activities for kids and adults. You can enjoy outdoor or indoor activities. The barbecue area is very comfortable and allows for a large group. The kitchen has everything you possible need. we love this house.

This is an amazing property and very well maintained and the pictures are very accurate. The movie theatre and game room were awesome and used constantly. The backyard is huge and well-stocked with everything you need to enjoy all the options and activities. The entire property is well stocked, right down to having anything you need in the kitchen (and all was labeled too). If we had to find one thing we would add, and it was difficult to find one, I’d say an umbrella for shade at the pool would be a welcomed addition. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Great for a team building event or big family event. So many activities on site. Place was perfect for our group. Everything was top notch. Only very, very minor complaint is the wifi wasn't super strong, especially since service was pretty spotty in this somewhat remote area.Would highly recommend this place for a large group of people if you are looking for a fun place to relax. Check in was super easy, the place was clean, and the amenities were awesome.

The host was very communicative and responsive from the jump. The property was so nice - we came here with both sides of our family - 18 people, including infants, toddlers, children, adults, and grandparents. The property accommodated all of our needs. We even used their chef recommendation and loved it. We all said we would stay at this property or any of their properties again.
