The hotel room was like new and spacious. The only fault was it was advertised as having parking available, but we didn’t find out until arrival, that it had very limited parking, and so were not able to park at the hotel. There are also only two places to park temporarily when checking in, and it is off of a busy street with no on street parking nearby, so that made it difficult to check in as well, as the two temporary parks were already in use. If not for the parking issues, would have rated a 5/5.

Right across the road from the Gabba excellent for those wanting to go to watch Cricket or AFL. minute walk to bus station which takes you to South Bank or City. Charging $35 per night for parking is discussing.

Close to the Gabba. Stayed in the room (2nd floor) on the Main Street, which was quite noisy. Once we checked in which was late, we headed to our room, the blinds fell which couldn’t be fixed (at that time), so we’re lucky to be woken at 5:45am with direct brightness! Restaurant on 11th floor was non existent, pool was a pool (just). Only 1 elevator working at the time.

The pool was closed during my stay, but this wasn’t mentioned when booking, which was disappointing and only discovered at check-in. While I understand the environmentally friendly approach to room service, housekeeping often came late in the day (around 4pm), which wasn’t ideal. The location felt safe, quiet, and convenient, but overall the experience didn’t match the price point. At $1,400 for 5 nights, I don’t feel it was good value for money and wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

We stayed overnight so we could walk up to the cliffs for riverfire. This reasonably new hotel was great! There is a full fridge, microwave, and kitchenette. The continental breakfast was ample and surprisingly make cappuccinos too. It was simple to bus into the hotel, so we didn’t have to pay for parking. The rooftop pool and area is also very nice. The price was reasonable too and we enjoyed our short stay.

When I opened the room door and turned on the lights cockroaches scuttled for the corners. After my shower the water did notbdrain away so I had to walk through water to use the bathroom for the rest of my stay. The home page on the TV was in German rendering that unusable. The staff were great.

Very spacious and modern room with excellent amenities and comfortable bed. Unfortunately the large blind by the bed wouldn't go down so we had the constant trail of lights from the street below all night. We were offered the opportunity to move rooms but it was getting late and we didn't feel like packing up and moving. The traffic noise was also significant. We did enjoy our stay.

Booked in to this hotel as was on a shoot and working 12 hours days. Couldn't believe the amount of noise although on a top floor (in a beautiful room!). Turns out we were right beneath the gym, so were listening to people drop dumbells and running on the treadmill as its a 24 hour one!! Absolutely unbelievable for what we paid. We contacted the Manager who was kind enough to say he would comp us a room in future but pretty annoyed to have lost a lot of sleep before a massive work day.

We found that the room we were allocated on arrival was rather noisy, mainly from the air conditioning we thought, but still so even with the room specific air con turned off. They kindly moved us to another room with no fuss after a representative came and listened with us. The second room was definitely quieter. However, the air conditioning noise persisted (albeit at a lower level),again even with the room specific air con off.

The ceiling light bulb flickered, so couldn't use that either and had to sit in a dark room with a small reading light. Luggage rack was also broken and left leaning against the wall. Slept with nonfunctional curtain with city light giving a sense of sunrise through all night.. Changed the room .. otherway round .. all day had to sit with room lights on since balcony curtain (the biggest curtain of the room (non-functional motor ) - permanently closed . Big gaps between curtains and wall - with room fully lightened through the night. Both rooms city side - accoustics rating 1/10.

We were there for the cricket so it was nice to get upgraded to the ‘gabba room’ as we then overlooked the stadium. Not enough to watch the match but nice and close to the stadium, so it was nice. Room is lovely and spacious, with a full sized fridge so you can freeze stuff if you want to.

Absolutely the single worst hotel experience I have ever had. Check in was slow with only one person serving at peak checking time. Rooms were not available at scheduled time. Key card was coded 3 different times, all requiring a trip up to the door and a trip down when it didn’t work. 4th time a manager followed us up and he couldn’t open the door either. Had to be moved to another room, which was a downgrade. Two night coming back to our rooms the key never worked and needed programming again. Noise in the room was horrendous. Finally found way to turn off kitchen exhaust which was not n for some reason. And AC left was still very noisy. Shower drain plug was missing leaving jagged steel edges exposed to our feet. Simply awful.

At one stage the staff member left half way checking in someone so she could let people into the car park (even though they had not checked in as yet). Issues with IT led to long waits for check-in. My wait was 70mins, while many were longer. In spite of calling a week ahead about parking, I was left to discover there are only 20 car parks. This had not been detailed previously in word or text. While difficulties arise and patience is warranted, the lack of preparation of the entire IT and reception process was an omni-shamble.

I disliked access to the property. Main Street is extremely busy. Perversely, it's position was excellent for nearby inexpensive dining, and for those who want to be near The Gabba and the sport it has to offer. Also, it's across the road from the almost completed Under River Train with direct access to the City one way and the Gold Coast the other way.

Excellent Hotel comfortable bed and pillows laundry available you just need your own detergent. The plunge pool on the top was great there is strong jets for massage. Great location to The Gabba and walking to Kangaroo Point. We were there for the cricket so it was nice to get upgraded to the ‘gabba room’ as we then overlooked the stadium. Not enough to watch the match but nice and close to the stadium, so it was nice. Room is lovely and spacious, with a full sized fridge so you can freeze stuff if you want to.

Rooms great. Location is not good as there’s no public transport until the train station is built. If you are okay walking to the river and over the bridges it’s a good area. Dining is limited to mainly fast food but further afield are good dining options

This property is falsely advertised as having a restaurant and bar. The reality is it has neither- it is still a building site. The rooftop bar is a tiled room with plastic chairs and no kitchen bar or anything else. I booked 2 rooms for a special occasion and after checking in to discover no facilities was promised by the front desk who spoke to the assistant manager I could leave and get a refund but they have now reneged on this. Expedia are no help at all. This property is far from finished. The rooms have curtain tracks but no curtains. I am out of pocket for 2 rooms I did not stay in, having to go to another property for the night with facilities.

We stayed overnight so we could walk up to the cliffs for riverfire. This reasonably new hotel was great! There is a full fridge, microwave, and kitchenette. The continental breakfast was ample and surprisingly make cappuccinos too. It was simple to bus into the hotel, so we didn’t have to pay for parking. The rooftop pool and area is also very nice. The price was reasonable too and we enjoyed our short stay.

Really enjoyed my stay at Swiss-Belhotel in Brisbane! It's about a 6-7 minute walk from the bus stop, close to the Gabba stadium, with cafes, restaurants, and a supermarket within walking distance. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. My room was spacious with lots of storage, and had a microwave and a fridge. The bed was comfortable too. There is some noise as it's located on a busy road and there are occasionally ambulance sirens too, but this didn't affect my sleep. Overall a very enjoyable stay, and I only wish I could have stayed longer. Would definitely stay here again!
