Great venue and staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Awesome coffee, great breakfast. Free parking for patrons would be good it was a bit expensive but it was very secure.

Staff were awesome, helpful and caring. Car Park was full and had to park away from the hotel was an issue with additional expense, yet I understand due to a RV show nearby. Breakfast was excellent and to offer that in the package is fantastic.

Lovely staff, nice spacious clean room. Comfortable bed, and large bathroom / wet room. Great start to each day with the breakfast. Good location for Central train station and walking in to the city. Great value launderette on site.

My partner and I had a delightful experience during our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The inclusion of breakfast and parking made everything incredibly convenient. While our initial room had a bathroom drain odor, the staff promptly and smoothly arranged for us to move to a different room The highlight was the cocktail hour, offering reasonably priced drinks. The bartender impressed us with their skill, presenting creative and enjoyable concoctions that added to our evening. The overall customer service was also exceptional, contributing to our enjoyable stay. Thank you, I am sure we will be back.

The "great hall" area was a unique and welcoming space to hang out during our stay. The staff were friendly and obliging, and the on-site secure parking was greatly appreciated.

Hotel is in great location for getting around the city and only 8 mins walking to the train station which goes direct to airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was adequate for short stay. A seat and foot rest in the room made it comfortable. The fridge in my room had bad smell was the only reason I marked down on cleanliness. I did advise the cleaning staff of this. Everything else was perfect.

Would have been a 5/5 stay if not for our duvet, sheet and a pillow that smelled strongly of cologne. Once we noticed it the front desk quickly brought us new bedding, but the idea that the sheets hadn't been changed between guests is really disturbing. We could have changed rooms but it was late and we needed to be up for a flight in the morning. Otherwise, lovely staff and a nice room for a short overnight.

Room had bad smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. They gave another room and there was the same problem. Stayed for 3 nights. All 3 nights with this smell. Not really a good holiday to rest.

The room was very cold when I arrived, the AC set to 18 degrees Celsius. It took 30 minutes to get it up to my comfort zone (23 degrees Celsius). This hotel calls itself "eco friendly" while wasting electricity. No drinking water in the fridge. A cloud of dust came out of the curtain when I closed it and made me sneeze all night. Other than that it was ok, they let me park my car until 4 pm on checkout day without extra charge.

Mostly good, good choice of breakfast items. Staff efficient and friendly. Used housekeeping once during our 4 night stay. Adequate. Downside of stay was the bed mattress. Not individually sprung which resulted in feeling you were on the sea when partner turned over. Woke me on several occasions. For that reason I wouldn’t stay again.

Book in was slow, even allowing for the que but the worst part was the adjoining room which meant we heard every thing happening next door. Flushing, coughing and watching tv till half past midnight. I would only stay there again if I was sure it had no adjoining rooms

Glass divider for a bathroom.. I have no idea how this ridiculous notion came about but I want solid walls between my bed and bathroom. It’s uncomfortable, embarrassing and just soooo stupid. The glass bathroom door doesn’t seal and there is a gap. If you turn the bathroom light on at night the whole hotel room is lit completely up… why oh why and just NO.

Great stopover spot for the night. Good central location with a 15 minutes walk to Queens st mall. The glass partition panels that seperated the bathroom from the beds was awkward when sharing a room with a family member. I probably would have stayed elsewhere if I had known.

No sleep so noisy, could hear toilet flushing next door, walking and doors in hallway, traffic, sirens, garbage trucks. Bed not comfortable, no room service, couldn't exit carpark going back upstairs to get another ticket still didn't work, the breakfast food very ordinary overall disapointing not worth the extra money.

Room very small, bathroom was like it had been added on and no privacy with the glass screening. Beds were uncomfortable, however on a positive the breakfast was good. Would have liked to see parking included as I don't feel it was value for money when you added this on as well.

A bit of a hiccup on arrival. They could not find our reservation. After about 30 mins of looking at emails, hotels.com reservation and looking into the hotel computer reserations we were finally able to access our room. Room was immaculate. Choice of pillows. Nice hot shower. Short stay while attending a concert. Super close to city.

House keeping needs to be considerably improved! When we complained, the GM stepped in (who was great to deal with) and our room then got some extra attention from the house keeping department! House keeping staff should pay attention to longer staying clients. Location is great. The hotel is located about 400m from the Central train station and is walking distance to the Queen Street Mall and other shopping centres. Conveniently located near Bus and Ferry Stations as well. There’s some construction going on across the road but we didn’t find it intrusive. We noticed it only when we went out of the hotel.

Good location and room as expected. However had to request housekeeping - nothing done for 2 days. Happy not to have towels replaced but bins not emptied or cups replaced. Staff on reception apologetic and helpful. Good breakfast choices but sometimes use for coffee machines which needed staff attention.

Walking distance to city centre 10mins, but walking back a little longer too steep incline. If you struggle with walking around this is not the place for you. Overall, great place for overnight and breakfast is ok.

Quiet place to stay. Very clean, light, bright and well ventilated. Adequate continental Breakfast with limited hot food. Convenient spacious dining room with basic limited menu choices and expensive snacks. Bathroom has no privacy. Staff were polite and helpful.

Had a nice breakfast. And a bar area. No evening meal offered. It was either a long walk up hill or down hill for any other places to eat. Not good for a person with mobilitu issues.

Sehr schönes zentrales Hotel mit Frühstück, Tiefgarage und total fairen Preisen. Als konstruktive Kritik würde ich die Kaffeemaschine nennen. Es gibt nur eine einzige beim Frühstück für das ganze Hotel…das führt ab und an zu langen Schlangen beim Kaffee ;)

Breakfast was very crowded and more coffee machines are needed plus more staff to clear and clean tables - lots of debris and couldn’t find a clear table the two mornings I was there. Also more bar staff - gave up waiting! Reception staff were efficient and courteous.

Good location and room as expected. However had to request housekeeping - nothing done for 2 days. Happy not to have towels replaced but bins not emptied or cups replaced. Staff on reception apologetic and helpful. Good breakfast choices but sometimes use for coffee machines which needed staff attention.

the hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast is sooooo simple. just few items and never change, same every day. Beds are the worst I ever seen in a hotel. so soft that you sink in it, hurts your back and you can't sleep at all

The Holiday Inn Express (HIE) is fairly centrally located to the business district in Brisbane. It is within walking distance of most the downtown attractions, close to river access and the Central Train station. (The Central train station is an 8-10 minute walk from the HIE, with direct service to the BNE airport.) The staff at the HIE was particularly helpful and responsive. The room was very well maintained (as was the entire facility) with daily housekeeping, The room met all of my needs as a single traveler over 4 nights. However, remember that this is an HIE and not a luxurious resort when it comes to the size of the room. The breakfast was excellent. There is a workout room at the HIE that I did not use and so did my jogging on the streets. The HIE is in a moderately hilly part of the city and so jogging from and to the HIE is a bit strenuous. However, it is only about 1 km to the walking/jogging/biking paths that line both sides of the Brisbane River. My recommendation is to find your way to those paths, and your run will be a great experience.

I had a lovely quiet top floor room as requested with parking underneath hotel. Breakfast is good however was very busy. Staff were not overly friendly or speedy with their service.
