Homewood Suites by Hilton Orlando-Maitland

Overall cleanliness and nice room, but did find some ants crawling around, like other guests noted. My main complaint is $8.52 per night for unsecured parking in Maitland, FL (not a condensed area, like a big city). Signs everywhere about recent theft from automobiles in their parking lot. If they are going to charge extra, why not use this additional income to hire security to prevent said theft?

Stayed here for one week after arriving to Maitland while we were looking for an apartment. First impressions of the property were okay, one elevator is broken and the property appears a little outdated. The person checking us in was a bit abrupt and did not come across very friendly, but everyone else I came in contact with were very nice and friendly (housekeepers, front desk, breakfast staff). Our room was great. It was very clean, comfortable bed, AC worked well. Bathroom was good. The living area and kitchenette was perfect for us to have for the week, and they do provide utensils and cookware. Once per week the housekeepers do a full room clean if you want it, and every 2 days they do a partial clean for garbages/towels/floors if you want it. The provided breakfast in the morning was excellent - they have lots of options for everyone, good coffee, and the hot food options rotate through the week. With how many workers stay here, I would say that weekday breakfast could start at 6am and that would be more convenient. At 630am the breakfast area was always packed and food trays became empty quickly. I would give this stay 5 stars if it weren't for the parking fees. Upon booking, I did not notice there was a $10 per day parking fee, although it is stated. I just did not see it. For the area this hotel is in, it seems like charging for parking is unnecessary and feels a bit like a money grab. Overall we had a great stay and would come back though!

Clean and comfortable. Charged $10 for parking and then gave us a paper that said parking might not be safe. Police reported break ins occurring in the area. We had no issues though.

Great stay for our two week trip to Orlando. Unfortunately, the pool was too cold to swim in and it's not heated. The location was great right beside the I4 highway. Room cleaning was done every other day and only when requested. Hotel was well taken care of and clean. Would stay again!

The staff is very attentive and so kind. Rooms are clean and comfortable. It would be great if all of the elevators worked. Laundry is super fast!

Parking is not free. It should be since this is not a dense area. The location was convenient enough. The breakfast was above average. The pool was pretty small and closed early . Rooms were large and clean.

We would like additional lounge chairs at the pool. Not a fan of pillow top mattress. Very uncomfortable when it’s old. Seating in suites are uncomfortable. Could have just been our particular room… but we stay here a lot and I see a change in upkeep. The common areas are kept very clean though.

Room was neat but older. Paint chipping and decor dated. Carpets old and worn and elevators slow. Pull out sofa god awful and uncomfortable but linens were ample. Pool area has no restrooms so you have to leave and go back inside. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and seating plenty. Very pet friendly! It was a nice 2 night stay for a decent price. I wouldn’t do more than a weekend.

Overall, not great. When I arrived I was told the room I had reserved and paid for (a king bed) was completely sold out so I was given a room with two full size beds. The dispenser on the wall continued to fall off and ripped the paint. Could not connect to WiFi for most of the weekend which is not ideal as I am a graduate student and could not connect until Sunday and I arrived on Friday and left Monday. Additionally, on Saturday there was a robbery at gunpoint in the hotel parking lot. Multiple cops were there, an individual was arrested, this went on for hours. Following this the elevators stopped working in which other visitors had gotten stuck in the elevator so we had to take the stairs from the third floor with all of our luggage (not ideal as I am physically not capable of climbing flights of stairs with my luggage). Overall, this stay was subpar and would am not likely to recommend to anyone else.

The room had roaches, They didn't replace our towels so we couldn't take a shower on our second day

I want to say the woman in the morning while checking out (I think her name was Amy?) was an absolute joy to talk to. The night I checked in I was a little blown away with the... I'll call it "attitude" I received at first. Granted they got friendlier as we talked but it was still not fun to be greeted so rudely. The room. The terribly patched ceiling hole, the SMELL from the dishwasher (we opened it to look inside and it smelled like a dead animal was in it), the dirty couch and seat that look like someone wiped themselves with it... it was all just terrible. The cleanest part was the bed which was honestly surprising. Through the night the BATHTUB faucet kept turning on. I had to really crank it down (thought I'd break it) just to get it to only trickle. The toilet also kept randomly flushing, simple sealing issue but I turned the water supply off to stop the annoyance through the night. The construction around was inconvenient but they were all very nice and tried to move or make accommodations for the hotel guests (shout out to the construction crew for being so nice) I would NEVER stay here again, but having an Applebees 2 minutes (walking) away from the lobby was nice as I got in to town after 9 and was needing food. If you have the option to stay here... don't. Also, the one room door looked like someone took a sledgehammer to it (I read later there was a fire so I can only assume THAT was the room) at least I told myself that so I wasn't paranoid all night.

Staff was really terrific. The room seemed clean but the disposable coffee cups had been used and the ice maker bin was dirty. I was glad I didn’t plan to prepare food in the kitchenette. Also, the furnishings appeared very old and worn which added to the overall unclean feeling. Thankfully the bath was clean. I was surprised to see trash outside various doors in the hallway that was still there 24 hours later. And there was a charge for parking on my bill. Charging for self parking is ridiculous! The overall review rating for this facility on Expedia seems too high. The great staff is the only high rating I would give it.

We had 2 rooms - 1 was dirty with used sheets and clearly wasn’t cleaned. The other room was perfect. They switched our dirty room right away and new room was fine. Very nice little apartment style room - living area with a kitchenette and separate bedroom. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable and convenient the room was!

My bathroom had a strong mildew smell and visible mold, which caused my asthma to flare up which made for a horrible night. We moved to another room at 11pm unfortunately there where no doubles left. Not the best first time experience. I dont think id stay here again.

Ants all over the place, woke up with a roach on the pillow in the middle of the night.

The property was in horrible condition, we refused to stay the night and immediately asked for a refund. The furnitures were stained, the shower had crust on it….. horrible

It was comfortable but the room had deferred maintenance and the libby bathroom was unclean and/or had TP out of stock both days inwas there. Within the room, it was ok overall. I would stay b for convenience if i needed that location

Our air condition was making a lot of noise the first night… the next night we high the temperature so that way the unit kept silence… No pen or paper block like usually in any other hotel, Nobody at check out, we had to wait for somebody to show up, not a ring to notify staff.

Stay one night after a planned businesss trip. I loved the spacious suite and comfort of an apartment. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel in awhile! Nice Applebees restaurant literally in the same parking lot! I will stay again next time I’m in the area.

Spacious and in a nice area. Breakfast very good. Staff very professional and friendly. But the room smelled strongly of food and the sofa bed absolutely needs a new mattress. Could not sleep on it at all. Also, only 4 towels when we chose a room for 6 people. For the high room price, I expected much better.

This is our second time staying at this hotel, this time for graduation at UCF. The staff was amazing as always, but the biggest problem we had was the age of the bed and furniture in our room. The king size bed in our room was very old and very hard. At one time it was a pillow-top mattress, but that time has long passed. Having a wife who is a disabled vet, we chose Homewood Suites due to the comfort, but this trip we were disappointed.

The room was ok. I really dislike the carpets at hotels. We had to have them come and replace the mattress in the pullout couch. The pan was scratched up didn't use it.

Our stay was very nice! Our room was good, bed was comfortable, we had an issue with noise from the air conditioner but once we turned it on continuous the problem stops. We would stay here again. Also, road construction was a bit of challenge

It’s a good value for a large room with separate bedroom as well as a kitchen. Works so well for us when we’re staying multiple days. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only downside was noisy AC unit but we were glad it worked!

I loved resting here from all the holiday errands. My family was able to feel like home away from home. The kitchen staff was so friendly and very welcoming. Thanks for helping to make our Christmas special! We’ll definitely book here again and recommend!

The ladies at front desk were rude and offensive telling me if I'm so unhappy with the room I was free to leave but I couldn't because of my sister in motorized wheelchair and we could not find other accessible accommodation i have pictures and video the place needs renovation and cleaning the manager told me she looks at the dirt every day

The entrance was locked very early every evening and no one was staffing the front desk. Could not get inside to check in. Only after prying doors open and then had to search for front desk staff. Never anyone at front desk in the evening during my entire stay. Would never recommend property. Furniture dated and needed replaced.

Was charged even though i prepaid. Pm desk fixed it quickly and was very nice

Front desk host was very kind and for the customer. Saying that if the room was not ready there would have been a problem cause she was putting customers first!

What stood out to me was how welcoming the staff was. MARY is gem. I called ahead and asked for a early checkin. Upon arrival without introducing myself Mary already greeted me by my name and a warm welcome. Sabrina your are one minute late, ;-). Your room is waiting. Room was very clean and sufficient stuffed for two adults with all we needed. Hotel was clean all around and exactly where we needed to be for our event. We will surely stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay at Homewood. It was quiet and peaceful. The location was perfect, easy access to the interstate and close proximity to anything that you would want. My room was clean. But, I did find stains on some of the furniture. I would stay there again.

The place isn't new but decently maintained. Unfortunately the road work out front made the access more difficult. The $10 parking fee was unexpected and seemed like an unnecessary fee.

Loved it! Will stay again. Very convenient location and close to the highway! Free breakfast and spacious room 👍

Easy to find in a nice quiet area.

Although this hotel is difficult to find, it is in close proximity to Maitland and is very nice. The kitchen was generously stocked with snacks and drinks and was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast staff did a particularly nice job. There is an Applebee’s adjacent to the hotel, which otherwise in an office park. If you’re looking for nightlife in Maitland, you’d do better to stay in one of the many hotels near Lee Road and Winter Park. Park Avenue in WP is a must for shopping, strolling, and dining.

Location is good. Close to a lot of great restaurants. Though construction made it a little hard to access the hotel. Room was adequate. The kitchenette could definitely use some TLC. Worked for our 2 day trip.

Overall a great hotel. We were on the 5th floor which is the top floor even with AC on it was alittle warm but ok. Very nice staff, great breakfast every day and would definitely stay there again. Thank you

We loved the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The next morning we checked out the free breakfast. It was the best breakfast included food that I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and hot. The staff was continuously refreshing everything.

I had a very comfortable stay at Homewood Suites. It is great to have a bedroom, living room and kitchen while staying there. I also enjoyed the hotel breakfast very much.

Property was shabby and in disrepair with low-end, sloppy updates. Staff was not incredibly welcoming. The breakfast food was of poor quality compared to other hotels with with free breakfast buffets. Additionally, there was a $10 charge for parking, which seemed completely unreasonable and out of line with other similar hotels. I would never expect to be charged for parking at a hotel like this one.

Loved the rooms. We had a mini kitchen which was great. Great bathrooms, awesome vanity lighting. Comfy beds. My kids and I had a very nice stay. Included breakfast was yummy with tons of options. Great coffee, too....(which is a big plus for me)

The person checking us in very unfriendly like she said the right things but it was like it was forced out. This location my family is comparing to the Orlando one on international dr. The carpets looked spot cleaned. The comforter had I think dirt stains, and bathroom the side top edge was dirty I cleaned before using. The breakfast was disgusting. The other location was very good more choices offered. No afternoon reception like other location that’s 20 minutes away!
