I was pleased to see that my assigned room had wood flooring instead of the dated carpet I’ve encountered during previous stays. The bathroom has also been updated, although it’s small, and the shower floor creaked underfoot, making the quality of the renovation questionable. Unfortunately, the AC stopped working after a long day of park hopping. Maintenance came up and explained that the unit needed servicing. Not exactly what you want to deal with after a full day in the parks. It’s a disappointing way to end an otherwise decent stay. Checkout service remains hit or miss, with staff sometimes coming across as surly or indifferent. The Dolphin’s location and its Disney partnership benefits remain major selling points, but the inconsistencies in service and upkeep keep the overall experience from feeling as polished as it should.

We checked in late, 12am to the Dolphin after late hours at Hollywood Studios. We walked over to the resort and went upstairs to just sleep. The room was comfy and se got a good night's sleep. There was a fire alarm being tested at 9am the next morning. We were up, but it was going off again when we got back from Disney Springs. The hotel had so much to offer and looked like so much fun, but we were just there for the one night.
