Best Western Poway/San Diego Hotel

Enjoyed my stay very much. Room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was clean and comfortable and the food was plentiful and good. Coffe was available all day in the office area. Pets were allowed and parking was plentiful, well lit and safe.

Pool is not heated at all, big bummer. No gluten free breads, no bananas or oatmeal, no hot tub. Room was very clean.

Location: good, on main road, close to highway 15, although away from San Diego downtown Parking: ample in front and rear sections of the property Room size: good, spacious (we had one king bed) Room amenities: TV with normal channels, fridge, microwave oven, coffee maker with standard and decaf coffee, ice box, electric iron with board, loveseat, desk and chair, table lamps on each side of the bed Mattress and linen: comfortable mattress, clean linen, two sets of comfortable pillows Bathroom: good size, provided with soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, little worn out towels Breakfast: very good, continental, waffle maker, scrambled eggs (and some type of sausage, I don't know), fruits, juices, cereal, milk, cream, canned fruits, canned pickles, muffins, breads, coffee and hot water Computer with printer Suggested improvements: place a play card giving choice for not changing the towels (eco friendly) Add some sort of heating (and cooling too, probably) to the bathroom. It gets really cold. Clean the tub drains regularly Clean the room carpets Make the room closet slightly bigger or replace the sliding doors with swinging doors for easier access to clothes

Nice clean pool. But very expensive and OVERPRICED

This was an older property. Motel style with outside doors to the room. Room was clean. No one present during checkout. Continental breakfast was more limited than most but still doable.

This is a nice, clean & secure older motel. My room had been remodeled. The room was roomy with a comfortable bed, good TV & plenty of hot water. Plenty of parking. The grounds have beautiful landscaping & well cared for grass & palm trees. The front desk folks & other employees were helpful. A breakfast buffet is open from 6:30 AM-8:30 AM. The buffet is very basic, nothing fancy. The breakfast room was clean. There was sausage & scrambled eggs each day, but no bacon during my 5 night stay. They ran out of bags of oatmeal. Waffles & cereal were also served.

I was staying there for work assignment and had many things to unload to room. They only had 2nd floor available when I checked in. There was no elevator so I had to make several trips up and own stairs to load when I check in and unload when I checked out. Next time I will ask how many floors and if there’s an elevator

People were Loud late at night in the pool

The shower has someone else’s fake lashes pieces inside the shower the shower has mold in it. The tub was not jetted even when I specifically asked the guy at checking in if it was and it had a ring around it the couch was hard and had a really bad smell to it the mirror in the living room had a hand print on it was not clean it has a nice view of the pool the people next to us had a baby that cried all night long and they were loud

Very straight forward and simple - only problem is there was a cockroach in my bathroom and there’s never just one.

Very quite properly and very clean property

The AC unit was full of dust. The carpet was so dirty. I got a non smoking room and it smelled so bad like cigarettes .

I didn’t like the strong smell of the room and the Dirty Carpet with big dirty stains all over, they didn’t had any body wash or shampoo, the shower handle was loose it came off while I was taking a shower, the breakfast was good especially tea and coffee.

Family of 4, just needed a place to sleep for one night. The hotel felt sketchy and run down, our room had a strong unpleasant bleach-like odor, toilet barely worked. The A/C vent was caked in dust and had a used tissue jammed in there. Pillows were small and lumpy. Most of the microwave buttons didn't work. This was room 113. We didn't stick around for the free breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The hotel was way overpriced for what it was, but there weren't many decent options under $200 in the whole San Diego area the weekend of our visit. Will not stay here again. Some positives - beds appeared clean, didn't see any bugs in the room, front desk staff was friendly.

Nice hotel. Quiet and clean. Perfect location for our veterinarian appointment at Frosted Faces in Ramona.

Check in was efficient and I was able to park outside my room on a very rainy night. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I don’t think any property deserved a 10/10. I would give this a 8/10 for the price

The beds were very comfortable. Shower was excellent. Busy street, but it also provided easy access to where we were going…golfing. Excellent price.

Okay but must there have been buffalo staying in the room above me

Did not like the new pillows. Estayed here last year, and the pillows were much better. Felt like laying your head on a sandbag. Otherwise everything else was great.

Bath tub was rusty. Drain did not work. Generally old property needing rennovation.

The bed was very uncomfortable. Seemed like an old box spring that had no more padding left at all. The pillows are so small especially on a king size bed. The shower head leaked and had very little water pressure. One of the lights sometimes didn’t work. Definitely not the greatest best western I’ve stayed at especially for the price.

Air conditioner inside room noisy. Overall everything okay.

Cannot do early check in, but after mountain hiking in the morning and etc, wait till 3:00pm is too much!! If early check in and I will be charged $35 as I was told by the front desk clerk

Comfortable accommodations, easy access to food and stores. I have stayed here several times and like the location, it fit my needs. The young man at the counter is courteous, and I like his friendly conversation at check in/out. All of the check in people are friendly with warm smiles! Perhaps a few rooms could have updated carpet installed.

Very poor customer service. I had an issue that I tried to get resolved for 2 days they didn’t even respond.

Everything was neat and clean. Had several mishaps with card key for room, but received the utmost courtesy. Everything needed was handled swiftly and pleasantly. Very nice breakfast menu.

The stay was terrible but not as bad as being ripped off 4 days after the stay. The breakfast area was dirty, cereal and bagels stale, the orange juice tasted rancid. waffles maker and yogurt was the saving grace. Four days after the stay the hotel charged us $242 in addition to what we had already paid on hotels.com for the room. 3 days later the manager has still refused to return my call or email, the refund still hasn’t cleared our account and now we have been charged an additional nearly $100 in 3 return check fees since the unexpected charge made our account negative. Customer service at the hotel has been of no help and clearly no concern to the manager as they have refused to return my call or email in 3 days.

Not good , I sent email to the manager never got a response back.

I asked for a new shower head. Replaced it right away. Brand new. That’s customer service above and beyond.

Stayed here since the price was reasonable. Best Western is usually a safe bet. Overall it was clean and fine for a night. Small property and location is in the back of Poway so it’s further away. Again booked late and just needed a last minute place to stay the night that was decent.

This Best Western was clean and comfortable. Their breakfast had many options and was well stocked each morning. The staff did a great job and the property was well maintained. We liked the location for food and convenience. It felt very safe to us.

Close to Poway Sportsplex

Good and secure place to stay.

Overall a comfy place to stay. It's small, quiet and safe. The breakfast buffet was good. Perfectly located in the heart of Poway, so it was easy to get to everything. The folks whom work here are really quite nice and very helpful.

The room was quite comfortable. Clean and had good amenities. The AC-heater unit was too loud to use at night as the outside temperature dropped. The staff was super nice and provided an additional blanket. The complementary breakfast was quite good with a fresh waffle maker.

It was perfect for my business needs. The breakfast was awesome.

The breakfast selections were very good, the check-in was great and the parking and room size were excellent. It was the choice of toiletries and towels that left something to be desired: the sink soap bar is miniscule and only ONE, the bath towels are just adequate. The soap dispenser in the shower is not attached and therefore hard to use. I recommend a change in those items. Thank you.

It was an okay stay, we did notice a funky smell in the room when we first arrived. We requested another room but that one turned out to smell more so we stayed at our original room. Overall it was a nive stay with no interruptions and the cleaning lady was really nice. They did let us know that the breakfast was going to be served at 6am-9am but both mornings it was served at 7am. They had a good variety of breakfast options which was a plus.

This place was clean, and comfortable. Very reasonable priced for this room. Very surprised they had a good breakfast in a breakfast sitting room. Now days since Covid 19 , no place has any breakfasts foods. We would stay here again.
