Great location if you want to be close to Broadway & Discovery Lifts and Main Lodge. More convenient than The Village but lacks the stores of the village. It's your standard hotel room, with a TV, free cable (HBO too), hair dryer with only a coffee/tea maker and mini fridge. No microwave or safe. Does come with a small space heater, box fan and humidifier. Overall happy with the convenience of walking straight to the lifts. Oh parking can be challenging as there are not enough covered parking spots and it's a in there. Small and narrow as you're driving through. Use lots of caution

We were very happy with this stay. Check in was smooth and clear. Staff was very helpful as to what was still open in town for dinner, since we got in a bit later. They gave us a free room upgrade. The spas were nice, but some jets didn't work properly.

The hotel is nice, convenient, located right in front of the ski lifts. Parking was okay. Not many available indoors so we had to park a little too far. Rooms are nice and clean. The only thing I think could be better was that the gym room treadmill was broken and they had only one. The gym could be a little bigger too. But better than nothing.

Hotel has three different buildings, one has West and East Wing. Each building different. The annex does not have an elevator to 2nd level. Very limited food options at this location.The hotel has a restaurant. The Yodeler is basically only open in the winter. Otherwise you need to drive 10 min back down into town. Great location for skiing ski out, or accessing devil's post pile. (Summer). We liked the hotel well enough to have this be a return trip, but this time I noticed bed sheets did not seem to be cotton. There will be some some minor renovations in some parts of the hotel late fall '24. App is not letting me add photos.

Review is for summer of 2025. Hotel and surrounding area is not crowded. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. By 5 pm, the immediate surrounding area is mostly empty. Most shopping and dining options are located in Mammoth Lakes (15 minutes drive from hotel). In the day time, there are many outdoor activities available to hotel guests of all ages. A bus stop in front of the hotel has hourly shuttles that can take guests to nearby attractions between the hotel and Reds Meadow. Hotel has all the basic amenities. Pool, jacuzzi, exercise room, restaurant, snack shop, etc. Parking is free for hotel guests. (Area around parking lot is not fully paved, which may be a concern for those with wheelchair.)

It was very convenient to be able to park our truck in the covered garage, especially when it snowed. We also really appreciated the complimentary shuttle service to town. We loved the ski valet service too. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend Mammoth Mountain Inn, especially for a ski vacation.

The proximity to chairlifts & gondola are unbeatable. we had a great breakfast every morning. and an awesome burger every lunch. the room was nice (and again very VERY close to the slopes). the staff was super friendly and helpful. the morning coffee was good & strong (and the coco too). the ski valets / ski tune-up team were awesome. plus hotel has a very nice pool and three massive hot tubs! This all makes for an awesome and easy day!

MMI has the best location on the mountain. it's a shame that they neglect the hotel, have old carpet that is absolutely disgusting, and dont maintain the place at all. I love that Mammoth is not part of Vail... but MMI would be a LOT nicer if it was...

The hotel was severely underwhelming. As soon as we stepped into the hallway from the parking grave we knew we were in for a disappointing experience. Every surface in the building was in disrepair or in need of cleaning. The room also did not have AC, which I didn’t realize beforehand was an option. There was obvious water damage in the corner of the wall at the ceiling as well as dry rot/termite damage around the window sill. The carpets were stained and dirty and the restroom in general wasn’t as clean as we would normally expect.

The Mammoth Mountain Inn is far overdue for renovation. It’s old and uncomfortable. There was carpet in the elevator, stains throughout the hallways and in the room as well. The shower was old and had a crack in the tub. There was an old box fan in the closet because there’s no ac. There was no blow dryer and the soaps provided were not good quality at all. It was the kind of place that smelled old despite the cleaning. The resort fees should be waived because there isn’t anything resort like about this place. The pictures are very misleading. The best part about it is the location if you’re skiing or biking up the mountain which we weren’t. I would never stay here again, a Motel 6 would be a cleaner more comfortable stay for the same cost without the added fees.

Enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and had good amenities. Furniture and carpets were all significantly stained. Wallpaper was pealing and ceiling was stained. Lodge was amazing but the rooms were very underwhelming. Probably would stay elsewhere in the future. Still it meet our needs and was safe. Will rate 5 stars but it’s really closer to 3-3.5 stars.

Stayed here with the fam during a roadtrip over Columbus Day. It was pretty quiet as ski season hasn’t started yet. The place was ok. Definitely heavily… loved. The whole place has seen heavy use. The room was decent size and comfortable. The bathroom was small and showed its age. But everything worked, and the room was clean. Staff were nice. Parking was easy in the covered/underground lot. You gotta take everything out of your car, cuz bears in the area. Hadn’t planned on needing to load/unload our camping fridge each day. A minor inconvenience lest Yogi break into the car looking for a snack. There’s an outdoor pool and a couple of hot tubs. We didn’t try em out but there were definitely ppl enjoying the facilities. There’s also a couple restaurants/lounges/bars on the grounds. We had dinner at the bar one night. Decent bar food and an easy play if you don’t want to drive into town. MMI is located slope side. It’s in a primo spot for ski in/out lodging at Mammoth. It’s a short 5 min drive to the village and 10 mins from Main St. and downtown.

Very close to ski lifts, covered parking, friendly staff. Standard queen room does not have a desk, table or even a chair, only a bed, tv stand, small frig, and one nightstand. The front desk staff was able to get me a chair and a microwave, but would pay a little extra to get the double queen which has a desk and chair. Very old property scheduled for replacement in the next few years.

We stayed in a very large room that gave us plenty of room to spread out. The room and hallways were clean and comfortable. However the property hasn’t been updated in some time so it’s a little dated. Also of note, there is no AC which made the room hot upon our arrival. At night the temps dropped into the 50’s (in July) so then the room cooled off and stayed cool. Overall nice place.

The location of the Mammoth Mountain Inn can't be beat. We had a view of the lifts and the main lodge. In the morning you can just walk right out to the lifts. The staff are terrific and always helpful and knowledgeable. The lobby areas are old school mountain lodge and really comfortable and welcoming. The only drawback to the property is that the rooms are vastly out of date. The bathroom is like a closet and the heating system is an old fashioned wall heater that was difficult to adjust.

Booked the 1 bedroom condo with loft. Place was spacious for 8 people. Good view of the lifts. There was moths in the property. Place was average could use an update. Lots of rooms so it takes a while to get to the room. Overall was good stay

Thank you to Natalie M. and Stephanie! They were the reason I loved this place. I complained that the temps in my room would not regulate and not only did Natalie refund my resort fees, but gave me a breakfast voucher! The area around is a bit unsafe at night as I was literally followed by a coyote until I went inside the hotel, but this is not the hotel's fault -- you are literally at a summit of a mountain in the Sierras, so if anyone's at fault, it's the people who feed the wildlife there. Just watch yourself at night and always keep your animals leashed.

Overall; place was not bad. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to offer help. Mtn Bike season, which brought on tons of guests. Room was nice, and fit my needs. Everything in the room was fine - my only gripe was; the shower smelled like high school gym locker. A little bleach and elbow grease goes a long way. But that’s it. I would stay here again, the staff went above and beyond for so little of the assistance I needed.

The nicest staff in Mammoth, period! (sorry Westin, they do it better). Caroline and Andy went above and beyond to try and accommodate every request add did it all with a smile. Hard to beat ski-in/ski-out for anyone whose top priority is hitting the slopes too. Would stay here again.

No functional, adjustable A/C in the room in the summer time! No very pleasant. Also, one of the staff members in the hot tub area was really rude in the way he demanded everybody to get out. He can benefit from more polite ways to say the same thing.

The staff were so nice and helpful, check in was fast and easy. They kept our mountain bikes locked up and safe for us. Our room was clean and the view was awesome. The bike ride to the gondola was only seconds away. The snack bar has goodies for breakfast that were pretty good. We stay here every year and will definitely come be back again.

I wasn't able to stay due to unforeseen reasons. I booked two nights and on the first night I tried calling, I called both the hotel and hotels.com, no one answered. Yes, I understand there is a 72 hour cancellation, how does that apply when you reserve on Wednesday and on Thursday you are trying to cancel for at least the second day which in this case it was friday. I had no luck, I was charged both nights. Very bad service from the hotel and Mammoth Mountain Inn. Beware they only have a live person answering phones before 6pm....after that you are screwed!

I want to start by saying that the equipment valet and the two gentlemen who checked us in and out were very friendly and helpful, which was definitely a bright spot. Unfortunately, the overall experience at the hotel was disappointing. The property felt disorganized and understaffed, leading to a frustrating wait of about an hour just to get checked in. Once we got to our room, it was clear that it needed some deep cleaning, and we were surprised to find there was no microwave. The bed was also extremely uncomfortable — very hard, which made it difficult to get any rest. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the cleanliness and staffing issues, as the service from the valet and front desk staff was the only positive aspect of our stay

Convenient location to take the shuttle to Devil's Postpile National Memorial. The services on site were very limited. Lots of restaurants in the town. The property is geared to skiing. You probably would not notice the dirty rugs if there was snow everywhere.

Location can’t be beat! Walked right out front to the Adventure Center to catch the shuttle to Rainbow Falls. Hotel met all my needs for a one night stay, will absolutely come back.

The hotel is super close to the main lodge and has a great hot tub. The amenities there are pretty lack luster there is not even a microwave in the room. It's away from the rest of the town so not much to do at night or food options. Hitting the slopes are super easy. If you go during the off season it can be super affordable. Food in the restaurant is expensive though.

The property is in beautiful environment, I'm sure during winter season is bustling with life, in August it was relatively quiet (which I liked) and there was a lot of construction work going on in surrounding areas. The dining options are not that great - it's much better to drive 5 miles down to the Village and enjoy one of the great restaurants there. I had dinner in the Inn's restaurant - and although the quality of food was decent, the service was not so great - the staff was more interested in spending time on their phones or watching baseball on TVs than taking care of their customers...but again, I'm sure this is different when the place is packed with skiers in winter. Overall, a good place to stay, with (for me) added value of quietness and proximity to the trails.

Wonderful location and room. This made it so convenient for going up the mountain on the gondola and making a day of everything without having to drive anywhere. Only thing that could have been better was that the restaurant closed too early in the evening, and we had to drive a long way to town to get food.

The Mammoth Mountain Inn restaurant has absolutely delicious food but the service is absolutely awful. There is no tea or coffee bar for guests, the water in the lobby is not consistently filled or iced. And everything in the general store is outrageously priced. It's infuriating paying $7 for a half liter bottle of water when you pay a $50 resort fee per person. All in all, too expensive and not centrally located.

Great place if you're looking for ski-in/ski-out. Ski Valet was excellent - they keep your skis and boots - so you're not treking up snow to your room. Yodler Restaurant is great for lunch - wish they keep the Yodler for dinner instead of the Grill.

We had to change our plans and settled here for 2 nights. Check in was a breeze and our room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The pool and spa/jacuzzi pools were a welcome bonus and we made use of them. The restaurant food was fantastic.
