Blue Horizon Apartments

Nice apartment block but quite basic, very difficult to cook a meal due to small kitchen space. Inside of room very clean but outside areas need better cleaning and a tidy up. Location up a hill but nice and peaceful. Comfy bed and decent shower. Owner friendly but a touch invasive at times.

It was an amazing experience for all the family. It's 5 minutes walk from a super market with a lot of products. The view from the apartment was unbelievable, it was super clean and secure. We'll miss Rico the parrot!

Loved the pet bird

I had a pleasant stay at Blue Horizon. The apartment itself is renovated, and therefore quite modern and fresh. Everything I needed for living comfortably was provided. The view from the balcony is wonderful. I stayed out of season and therefore a car is a must as there are no open shops close by. Malia is an easy 5 minute drive with supermarkets and cafes and a very good bakery. I took me 12 minutes to walk to the beach promenade but it’s a steep climb on the return, so a little longer coming back. There is no lift in the apartments so worth bearing in mind if you have mobility issues. The owner, Mr Antonis, is delightful. Always on hand to help and to offer advice on trips and local shopping and eateries. It’s a good base from which to explore the eastern part of Crete and also an easy 20 minute drive from Heraklion Airport.

I stayed on the top floor in the off season and it was very good value. The apartment block is one of the most prominent in the whole area, so the views are spectacular. The apartment had everything I needed, with a small but well equipped kitchen. The bedroom is a good size with a great bed, and the room is dark and quiet at night. I didn't have a vehicle, but Stalida and the seafront are comfortably walkable. Recommended, I'd stay here again.
