Die Aussicht auf die Baustelle war eine absolute Katastrophe. Auch der Umgang mit meiner Beschwerde durch das Management war leider überhaupt nicht zufriedenstellend. Die Architektur ist zwar sehr schön, insgesamt entspricht das Haus für mich jedoch nicht dem Niveau eines 5-Sterne-Hotels. Dafür ist der Preis definitiv zu hoch und nicht wert. Wir fahren gerne wieder auf die Azoren, allerdings nicht zu Double Tree Hotel.

The customer service is absolutely terrible. To begin, we checked in in the late evening and went to the room and the air conditioning was wasn't working properly. I called the front desk and they told me to close the terrace door (it was shut and locked). Next morning I complained and they said they would fix it. Come back later that evening and the room was boiling. Called the front desk and they admitted that they knew the AC knew it wasn't working when we checked in. I asked why they gave us this room and he replied they didn't think it would be that bad! . So they had us switch rooms. They didn't offer to help or anything, just here are the new room keys. No apologies, no compensation or anything. But it gets worse. The beds were quite uncomfortable, the pillows were extremely soft (didn't have anything more firm). They did not provide washcloths on any of the days, did not clean the bathroom mirror the whole stay (6 days!). We go to the pool and they told us that we were suppose to be provided pool towel cards when we checked in. I had the keys and the little key holder and there was nothing else in it. So back down to the front desk to request pool towel cards - again no apologies. I requested to speak to the manager after the room snafu and was told they would call me - 6 days later and the manager never did call. We paid for a seaside view room and looked at a construction crane. Breakfast actually very good - but not worth the 20 Euro. STAY AWAY!!

Wi fi was horrible. Had to change rooms 3 times ac wasn’t working then gave me a room that was not what I had paid for very frustrating. No Sense of urgency not a 5 star and not Hilton standards. Disappointed!
