I always stay at Pea Soup when in Buellton. The beds are very comfortable ie pillow top mattress. The pool and spa are both clean and very enjoyable. The Danish pastries in the morning are amazing.

My family have stayed in this place 3 times already and that's everytime we come to Solvang and Santa Barbara. Just a couple miles to the Ostrich Land. Only about 8mins to Solvang Visitor Center. The room is clean and tidy and spacious. We love our own little patio. Kids loved the pool, the mini golf course and outdoor games. Will definitely stay here again!

We've stayed here many times in the past. There have been changes. First the good. The pool and spa are fantastic. Easy access to the 101 freeway - both directions. Close to Solvang. Rooms are reasonably sized and have all the necessary amenities. Upstairs rooms have outside patio. Now, for the not-so-good: It's noisy. Construction workers are in and out until late at night. The rooms let all the sound in. Our non-smoking room had been smoked in. I collected about 30 cigarette butts the maid hadn't. Disgusting for a non-smoking room. The restaurant is closed, apparently indefinitely. It's sad. I remember my mother talking about visiting Pea Soup Andersons when she returned from World War II before heading home. Iloved their split pea soup and their fried chicken. Insuffient parking, insufficient handicapped parking. Part of this is likely because the construction people take up multiple spaces with their large construction trucks and trailers. non-handicapped vehicles were parked in handicapped spaces. If you're in a wheelchair, it's "too bad, so sad" I guess.

This place was a great stay. It is centrally located, convenient to amenities, the freeway, gas stations and dining. It took us only 10 minutes to get into Solvang. The breakfast was good and simple. Coffee and pastries were served. The pool was clean and warm. They also had a small putting area with lots of tables and gas fire pits. I loved the patio off of the room. It was so nice and relaxing to sit out there and drink your coffee or enjoy the fire pits. The only complaint that we had was the cleanness of the room. On the surface it was clean but there were several spider webs, the floor was filthy and made our feet black and the screen door was ripped. It needs some updating. The price was amazing and everyone was so nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Really comfortable and safe area if you are wanting to visit solvang. Breakfast consists of Coffee, tea, orange/ cranberry juice, quick oatmeal, and danish bread. The room is great with comfortable and clean sheets. There is TV with multiple channels to view. They have towels, body lotion, hand soap, body wash and shampoo in the room in case you do not have any. They offer cleaning service throughout the day. Pool is clean as well as the hottub. I truly recommend this place if you are jot wanting to spend much but wanting a safe and convenient location.

Property has good amenities. They say the pool is heated but it was freezing. We couldn’t even go in. The common area with fire pit and games was cool. The morning breakfast was fine. It was located a very short drive from Solvang and the Firestone Walker Brewery, and Ostrichland. The rooms were spotless. The grounds were well maintained. The water in the Jacuzzi was the perfect temperature. It was a very quaint place with easy parking, and very courteous, helpful and pleasant staff members.

Our room felt run down. The base boards in the restroom were coming off the wall. You can hear other guests talking & closing their doors at all hours of the night. Definitely felt like a 2 star hotel. This place could use an update.

The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was very comfortable, coffee in the room was good, nice that it had a fridge available in the room. My only complaint was the adjoining room. There was a gap between the doors that allowed us to hear everything going on and see light coming through. The guest in that room turned on his TV at 4AM, talked constantly with his guest and talked loudly on his cell phone! He finally left the room at 6:30...just in time for us to get up. NO sleep from 4:00 am on. When I spoke with the desk clerk at check out, she said "all you need to dial is 0 and we'll take care of it. WELL...please let me know this somewhere on the website or the info when we check in!! We only stayed the one night.

An older hotel, but well-maintained and clean. Good sized room. The walls are a bit thin, though. We could hear the people next door talking in their room, and my wife said she could hear their TV.

Starting with Heather at the front desk, she is 5 stars! She is friendly, welcoming, professional and atentive!! Thanks Heather for your kindness! Next 5 star is housekeeping, they are meticulous and I greatly appreciate their work. The only 2 not 5 star comments I have are, the balconies are shared when it would be great if there was a divider of some kind. And the grounds around the hotel are in very bad shape. No landscaping and the old restaurant that is deteriorated is an awful eyesore. To bad too. Overall a GREAT room and stay. I will be back

Check-in was fast and easy, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room and property were both very clean, which I really appreciated. I also loved that check-out isn’t until noon, it gave us a more relaxed morning. Another bonus is the location, downtown Solvang is only about a 7-minute drive away. Overall, a great stay and would definitely return!

I enjoy staying at Pea Soup. I’ve stayed here about 10 times so far. The only issue I had this time was the lamps on each side of the bed and plugs on that wall all didn’t work. I called the front desk and a gentleman came immediately to check it out. He couldn’t figure it out and asked it would be ok if maintenance checked it out the next day. I said sure. I was staying for 3 nights. I never heard back and they never worked. Si I was unable to charge any of my devices on that side of the room. I will still stay here again next time I’m in Buellton, Ca.

This is usually our favorite place in Buellton. We have family we visit in the area. But this time there was an incident that could have been more serious. When we returned to our room in the dark our door was OPEN. Housekeeping failed to secure our room. It could have been much more serious. Housekeeping also did not do a thorough job restocking bath towels. But the excellent muffins are still available for breakfast.

Heating unit didn't work properly and was loud. Room smelled of cleaning chemicals. The Pea Soup Anderson's restaurant next door is closed down and the lot and structure have fallen into disrepair and looks abandoned. Stay at the Hampton Inn a block away instead.

Great option for staying in Solvang. The property across the street was recently remodeled. The Pea Soup Anderson’s abandoned restaurant is kinda creepy looking. But, this is a nice option for a cheap price.

Friendly staff & a clean room. On the down side, room key cards are easily de-magnetized by cell phones & credit cards. No close dining options as Pea Soup Andersen’s restaurant went out of business a year ago. Only snacks available in the lobby. This is just a one night stay so overall, it’s it’s been comfortable.

We booked here in the morning to secure a room. Then spent the morning and early afternoon shopping in Solvang. Alas, our plan to enjoy dinner at Pea Soup Anderson’s Restaurant was foiled: it went out of business in January 2024. So we had Gino’s excellent pizza delivered. Problem solved. Though we miss the pea soup and short walk to the restaurant.

I like the hotel - its not fancy, but its clean and comfortable. However, I'm not impressed with the breakfast provided - sugar loaded pasteries don't work for me. And the coffee was also not very good (just giving you honest feedback).

Overall a nice hotel. Not much of a breakfast, only one danish per guest the some juice and coffee. The room was decent, showing some age and a little run down, but still nice. Bed was good, a little firm, but not too firm. AC worked. Gas station right next store for quick snacks

Clean, no bad smells, heated pool, hot hot tub with nice jets, coffee in the morning well before 7 which was listed on the card upon check in. That was nice because we checked out at 530 AM to start the next leg of our trip. I think the muffins are home made? They're tasty.

We have stayed here many times and keep coming back. Staff always friendly and our rooms clean and comfortable. The little coffee and Danish room available in the mornings is a nice touch and appreciated.
