Love the Wigwam. Perfect for locals and travelers near and far. Excellent food and drinks as all of the various restaurants available in the resort. Some rooms have been remodeled and are amazing. Original rooms are till just as great. Gym is a bit outdated but you get your workout in, and that's all that matters. Pools are awesome...cool water even on 115 degree days of Arizona.

The Wigwam is a gem in the area, but this trip wasn't our best. The overall property is showing some wear -- and while I know the property is historical, some of the wear I'm talking about is just poor maintenace. Our shower leaked and literally flooded the bathroom no matter what we did. The gym equipment is beyond tired with many items out of order. The main pool was being renovated (at least partly) and it wasn't open part of our trip and then dirty for the rest. Still the setting is wonderful and the whole place is just unique and unlike any other place you have been. There are a slew of young people working and for the most part they were respectful, but there also seemed to be some "friends" hanging out around the area to chill with their buds during the week when it wasn't busy. There also seemed to be zero management presence. Anyway, we did enjoy ourselves. I still have a deep love for the history and the majesty of the Wigwam. I hope they work to uphold and improve its image and that we have better luck next time.

Overall we had a nice time at the Wigwam and loved our room and the restaurants at the resort and just outside of it. The resort grounds are beautiful. The only downside was that the adult pool was closed in the middle of August. This was one of the reasons we chose to stay here for my birthday. So that was a bummer to learn when we arrived. I thought its fine and I could enjoy the pool that was open with the water slides full of kids, but after only 10 mins in the pool I hear a kid say "do you guys know your swimming in my spit, i spit all over there" on top of the pool already being pretty dirty like it hadnt been skimmed in days, so that grossed me out. I know all public pools can be gross but that made just get out. So i didnt even get to enjoy the pool. The staff were very nice and the room service was quick when we requested it. Thank you to them!

This is a historic property in Arizona. It has been well maintained. Although it accommodates many guests it still has a cozy feel. The main lobby is so quaint, there are lovely rooms where you can get a drink sit and chat, privately or with others. The pools are wonderful! There was live music at Litchfield's last night and the food was terrific. We have lived in Arizona for 30 years, stayed at many resorts in the Valley, and keep coming back to this one!

Everuthing was great except the pool was hot.. it qas 112 in phoenix that weekend but there is no point to cool off in a pool if it is hot.. hope they can resolve this issue. Would make the dtay 9/10

Property was clean and wonderful, felt safe with my family of us 4 girls traveling together. Very convenient to several places/choice to eat. Close to get anything you may have forgotten to travel with. Restaurant on site was wonderful. Only 1 pool was open when we visited, and it was fine. I do wish the adult pool would have been open though. Next time

The resort was very well kept up from the property grounds, to reception building, to the room everything was very neat and clean. We stayed in a suite and the room was beyond expectation, the shower was amazing, very comfortable and clean bed and bedding, the side room was very spacious and comfortable, definitely good size for a couple having a get away or just trying to relax. I will highly recommend this resort to all family and friends as well as I will return in the near future. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I left my iPad in the room after leaving the resort I called and they had security go to the room and retrieve my iPad for me and security held onto it until I returned to pick it up. Very professional and respectful and handled everything very great couldn’t ask for a better experience!!

We booked 3 days at the Wigwam. All staff was exceptional. The resort was beautiful. The pool was relaxing and entertaining. We booked the suite with King bed which was spacious. There is a patio in the front and in back. I loved that everything is walking distance. The only reason why I gave it an overall 4 stars is because we found a dirty sock. I thought it was my grandsons so I grabbed it to discover it was not his. I was grossed out. The sofa was against the wall in an awkward way from the t.v. I'm guessing it could not be centered because the sofa had a charging station. I moved the sofa and it was filthy. The rooms are surfaced clean but not detailed. I still recommend this place and definitely will book here again. I just now know to inspect the room and not opt out of daily housekeeping. Other than that I can't wait to book again and next time for a longer stay.

We came to the resort as a family to enjoy a staycation. We enjoyed the majority of the stay with the exception of the following. First, our room was not ready for almost an hour after the promised time and no concession was offered. It would have been nice to have received some drink vouchers or something. The pool area was rather unclean the entire time we were there including early morning when we first arrived to our chairs. We had to clean up the area by our chairs before sitting down. There was also a huge lack of garbage cans throughout the resort. Our room had one small can in the bathroom and there was no place to throw garbage away in the pool area. The resort is lovely but could use a little bit better attention.

Overall a really great property. Had a very historic southwest vibe. The staff was friendly, the room was updated and spacious. The tower pool was pretty hammered - the water was nasty and bathtub hot. The oasis pool was much nicer but doesn't allow children which should have been made more clear at booking. The exterior of many of the buildings are in decline/fairly worn out looking but the interiors are good.

The outdoor live music at the restaurant by our room was very loud and interfered with sleep. The people in the room next to us were very loud late night partyers. Not much in the way of insulation in the walls.

This is not our first stay at this property. We understand that there is remodeling going on HOWEVER the room we were given had obviously been sitting empty for quite some time. We had no housekeeping services (2 night stay) and we had no phone line in the room. We were charged $200 for a dinner we never had (they did rectify). It simply felt like we were put in some kind of forgotten building of the resort. It wasn’t anywhere near the service we are used to at this resort and it’s a shame. We hope this is temporary and will be rectified once all of the remodeling is done.

They fail to mention if you pay extra for a golf course room, you get a massive bright light outside your door that does not turn off “for safety purposes.” So, if you like to sleep in a bright room with no darkness, pay the extra! As a bonus, they will short you the resort credit that you’re told you will get, and if you’re lucky, your room will smell like diapers like mine did!

So when we checked into the room we found out that the TVs weren’t working and so the maintenance staff had to come over and do a bunch of programming and add equipment to the TV so I was surprised that that room wasn’t up to speed when we checked in. I thought the staff was very good. We had room service on Saturday afternoon and it was quite tasty, and the cleanup crew did a good job of getting the room cleaned up while we were out visiting some friends on Saturday so appreciate that too.

Wasn’t aware that I would have to move my car the next day, just found cones in the parking lot. Super quiet :) Housekeeping comes really early everyday. :/ Easy to communicate through text. Loved pool service and staff. Toilet and shower line was backed up, luckily it was only check out day but I still wanted to rinse off before departing.

Large, spacious room. Large bathroom with double vanity, large shower, large soaker tub, and motion activated night light. Pleasant staff. Beautiful grounds. Delicious breakfast with plentry of indoor and outdoor seating.

The room was clean, but kind of stark & echo-y. The landing outside the room was unacceptable--it should be power washed. It was an ugly concrete landing & it was dirty with months of spills and debris accumulated. Directly outside my door was a sticky spot that I constantly had to walk through, causing me to have to wash off the bottoms of my shoes each time. The property seemed almost empty, but I was put in a room at the furthest corner of the property, over one loud party and next-door to another loud party. It was like the few guests there were just being warehoused out-of-sight & out-of-mind as far away from the main building as possible. The room seemed recently refurbished, but the flooring was already water-damaged & spongy in at least one spot right as you walked in the room. The shared public spaces of the property are all gorgeous and remind you of the rich history of the place. At the Tower Pool, I loved the travertine pool deck (although it was devilishly slippery when wet) and the jets of water arcing into the pool. The lighting fixtures were new & bright and some operated on a cool motion-detection system. The bathroom was great, with nice fixtures and a beautiful roomy shower with blue tile, easy-to-operate spigots, and great water pressure & temperature. The staff we came in contact with were very pleasant, professional, and helpful--check-in and check-out were very smooth & there were no surprises.

The grounds are going through a remodel but the staff is managing it very well. Still top notch service. The beds need to be replaced. Not comfortable. But they are in the process of replacing the mattresses.

Customer service was great! I had a problem with one room smelling like sewer and was upgraded to another room which was great however, the A/C didn't work well enough to cool the room down because how old and small the A/C unit was for being in Arizona heat. Would have been nice to have the A/C work better, however the staff was very nice and as helpful as could be under the circumstances.

I checked into the wigwam after a terrible airbnb situation. After 6 Hours dealing with it, I was exhausted at almost midnight when I arrived to the Wigwam and was greeted by Jadyn. I couldn’t help but to unload as I checked in at how terrible my other experience was and how they treated me. Jadyn listened and for the first time that day/night I had felt welcome and in a safe place. She made sure to get us into a comfortable room and had Nathaniel assist us in getting settled in. Nathaniel was so empathetic and calming in bringing in everything we needed. I felt like I was asking so much in the middle of the night and no ask was to big even sharing his personal waters with me. I felt like Jadyn stayed up with me as I phoned her a few times through the night when I realized that I needed to extend the stay as my original trip was 5 nights. She made me feel like she was a friend that cared about me and its because she did care. I rested my head that night in the most beautiful room feeling supported by really awesome humans. I have always loved the wigwam but an employee like Jadyn doesn’t come along often and as fate would have it that was her first night back working the night shift and I truly needed her after my prior ordeal. She was the face of the establishment and represented them 20/10. Her and Nathaniel both continued to check in on me and do kind things for me specifically stating that they wanted me to get the welcome that the airbnb didn’t give me, its a long story

The customer service at this property is excellent. Anything that we needed was promptly attended to. There was an incident at the family pool that required everyone to leave, but they allowed us to use the adult only pool for the rest of the day, which we appreciated.

It was a nice property. We stayed there for night for a golf tournament. We spend most of our day at the adult pool the first night and the only thing that was wrong that the bartender took 45-1hr to get a bucket of beers. The next day tried to go to family pool and the sam bartender was there so it also took another 30-45 to get a drink. We were playing music by the pool at a reasonable level and there no profanity but as soon as switched it to Spanish song security told us to turn of the music. Overall it’s a nice stay but I don’t know if I’ll be back. Didn’t feel very welcomed by the staff.

I stayed here on a staycation with my family and my sisters family. I had 2 rooms under my name, which they put on opposite sides of the grounds (which are quite extensive). When I called the morning of check in to inquire about putting them closer together, the receptionist, Amy, was incredibly rude and blamed me for them not being able to put them closer. I would think it’s fairly logical that if you book 2 rooms you would want them somewhere within shouting distance of each other. I was told by a manger the reason they couldn’t do anything about it was due to an ongoing renovation, and he then proceeded to disparage the rooms stating they were in bad shape and desperately needed an update. All in all, it was a disappointing start to our experience. The rooms were large, if dated, and the grounds were lovely. The rest of the staff we interacted with were very pleasant and helpful. The food at Litchfield’s was very overpriced for the quality but the pool grill and Wigwam’s bar were much more reasonable and had yummy food and drinks. All in all we enjoyed the experience but I’m not sure we’ll be back anytime soon.

Picked this for a stay to go to the Cardinals game on Christmas day as the reviews and menu for Litchfields looked great so booked a room. The room was amazing, spacious ,comfortable, over looking the golf course. That aspect could not have been better. Tried multiple times to make a Christmas lunch reservation but the online tool never opened properly. when I called I was told they were fully booked. I asked If I could order the Christmas lunch as room service and was told no. So I booked elsewhere. I don’t want bar food for Christmas lunch. Now to breakfast. On arrival we were told to sit anywhere, and were brought a menu and we both ordered. After 15 minutes we still did not have our drinks or even a glass of water. I asked the person that seemed to be in charge for a glass of water. After calling me “ Sweety” we were given waters. we waited 35 minutes and I asked for someone to check our food. Again called Sweety and given a breakdown of how a kitchen works and that they had a 20 top. Not once did the words Sorry leave their lips. When the food arrived after 45 minutes it was ok. Not sure if this was due to how mad I was at this point or because it really wasn’t that great. We were a party of 2, and I am a grown women, don’t call me sweety, at least serve water when we sit down and if things are delayed communicate and apologise.

Gorgeous property and great dining options. Check in was seamless and we received a room upgrade to a casita without asking. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was nicely renovated and very clean. We ate at both restaurants on the property and the food and service were very good.

This is a historic property in Arizona. It has been well maintained. Although it accommodates many guests it still has a cozy feel. The main lobby is so quaint, there are lovely rooms where you can get a drink sit and chat, privately or with others. The pools are wonderful! There was live music at Litchfield's last night and the food was terrific. We have lived in Arizona for 30 years, stayed at many resorts in the Valley, and keep coming back to this one!

Quick weekend getaway, room was nice, but the shower wall had a large amount of long hair smeared on it, I am assuming from the last guest. Shower also leaked onto the bathroom floor and was slippery when in use. AC unit was loud during the night. Mini fridge inside unit didn't work well and was barely cold. The overall ground are decent, but could use regular mowing as the grass looked unkept. Adult pool had several broken umbrellas and numerous cracked or missing edge tiles around the pool. Exterior pathway lighting would be helpful as it was difficult to get back to room at night from the main pool.

Nice hotel. A bit dated and needs upkeep. Room was nice and very clean. We were there in the off season but it was a little cumbersome to navigate. Signage was not clear and some of the amenities and restaurants were closed, which was understandable but not communicated to us. It was a good deal for the lower, off-season price. Would not pay full price based on this stay.
