Very convenient hotel booked at very short notice. Great spa area & garden. Shower holder in the room could not be repaired in the week. Laundry order was not sent as requested. Room serviced each day.

Das Hotel liegt zentral in Garmisch. Fußgängerzone und Bahnhof sind leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ein netter ruhiger Garten lädt zur Entspannung ein. Pool war sauber und gepflegt.

Ein traditionell geführtes Hotel mit einem charmanten und überaus freundlichen Personal. Hier arbeiten Menschen, die noch für das Hotelgewerbe brennen und den Hotelgast so gut es geht umsorgen. Ein besonderes Highlight ist das Schwimmbad mit angeschlossener Sauna. Unbedingt nutzen!

Beautiful older hotel- very well kept. Great view of the mountains from our balcony. Sat there relaxing enjoying a beer! Staff and breakfast were wonderful. Close walk to train station and Zugspitze Bahn. Has a pool sauna and steam room but we just stayed 2 nights so no time to use them but they looked excellent. We plan to come back next year and stay longer. We highly recommend Wittelsbacher Hof

Comfortable and clean rooms. The location was perfect. Very close to train station and in the middle of Garmisch-Partenkirchen towns. Walking distance to Partnach Gorge and Olympic park. Very easy to get to Eibsee and Zugspitze by train, bus, or car. Helpful staff. Superb breakfast included in price. Also a spa and pool which I didn’t have time to use but it’s there.

Kleine Sauna (ca. 85 Grad) und Pool mit mehreren Liegen vorhanden, Bademantel und Badelatschen liegen auf dem Zimmer. Freundliche Rezeption. Kurtaxe 3€ pro Tag.

This hotel and its staff were a pleasure! We arrived at the train station and walked about 10minutes to the hotel. We were immediately impressed by the old world charm of its public spaces and the amenities of indoor pool, sauna, & steam bath. The buffet breakfast with made to order eggs was a delightful way to start the day and an afternoon teatime was a nice touch. Located centrally right in the middle between Garmisch & Partenkichen, which were both walkable, we will be happy to return!

Das Hotel hat seine besten Zeiten definitiv hinter sich. In der ersten Nacht regnete es in Bad und über den Kleiderschrank in mein Zimmer hinein. In dem neuen Zimmer das ich als Ersatz bekam, waren die Fliesen auf dem Boden zum Teil so zerstört, das Verletzungsgefahr bestand. Eine Halterung für den Duschkopf gab es nicht und ebenso wenig eine Duschwand oder Vorhang. So habe ich mich als Gast nicht willkommen gefühlt.

Der Zustand des Hotels ist sehr abgewohnt. Sanierungsstau im ganzen Hotel. Das Hotel ist aus den 50er Jahren, man hat den Eindruck, dass seitdem kaum etwas gemacht wurde. Man hätte wenigstens durch Sauberkeit überzeugen können, doch das fehlt ebenso. Die Krönung ist dann auch noch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, was total überzogen ist, also viel zu teuer. Man hat aber den Eindruck, dass man es sich in Garmisch leisten kann, derartige Preise aufzurufen für solche Objekte. Neue Möbel und Klimaanlage in den Zimmern würde dem Hotel auch gut tun. Das Personal versucht aber sein Möglichstes zu tun und war sehr freundlich.

Hotel is old, which is fine but the bathrooms and bedrooms were dirty, someones hair all over the bathroom floor. Uncomfortable bed, broken tiles and no updates. At 8am a cleaning person attempted to get in our room as I was changing and I was quickly about to shut the door. It is advertised as parking available but those are only a handful of spots. This hotel was very expensive for the experience.

We felt very welcome! A calm atmosphere and a cozy hotel with a good location with a fantastic view to the mountains. The hotel is cozy and our room was great. It was very clean everywhere. The mattresses were too hard for our taste.

Hotel is near the center of town so it’s easy to walk everywhere. Breakfast doesn’t start until 7 am but they gave me a tray of coffee service earlier. My only complaint is the bed is short. I’m just under 6 ft and had to sleep diagonally.

Nice breakfast, included in the rate, good swimming pool to refresh in hot days, room was spacious and comfortable bed, although two single beds together, wifi was not the best, it did let me down.

Personal, besonders bei checkin und ganz besonders beim Frühstück hervorragend, freundlich und unschlagbar gut. Bad war neu und top. So hier und da könnte Farbe und ein neuer Anstrich helfen. Leider Regenwetter. Konnten den schönen Garten nicht nutzen.

Die Unterkunft ist nicht nur wahnsinnig alt sondern auch im höchsten Maße abgelebt. Das Servicepersonal beim Frühstück war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Personal an der Rezeption dagegen genervt vom Kunden.

Die Unterkunft ist nicht nur wahnsinnig alt sondern auch im höchsten Maße abgelebt. Das Servicepersonal beim Frühstück war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Personal an der Rezeption dagegen genervt vom Kunden.

Nice hotel, but front desk personnel were a bit standoffish. No ac or fan and a storm blew in so we couldn’t keep doors/windows open or tons of water came in. Our ‘patio’ door wouldn’t close & we had to use towels to clean the floors. This wasn’t fixed despite us being told it would be. Good breakfast!

Beautiful older hotel- very well kept. Great view of the mountains from our balcony. Sat there relaxing enjoying a beer! Staff and breakfast were wonderful. Close walk to train station and Zugspitze Bahn. Has a pool sauna and steam room but we just stayed 2 nights so no time to use them but they looked excellent. We plan to come back next year and stay longer. We highly recommend Wittelsbacher Hof

Comfortable and clean rooms. The location was perfect. Very close to train station and in the middle of Garmisch-Partenkirchen towns. Walking distance to Partnach Gorge and Olympic park. Very easy to get to Eibsee and Zugspitze by train, bus, or car. Helpful staff. Superb breakfast included in price. Also a spa and pool which I didn’t have time to use but it’s there.

This hotel checked all the boxes. Close enough to the train station at around a 7min brisk walk. Downtown Garmisch was on the same street and a short walk away. The included breakfast hit the spot too!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The room overlooked the front of the property, so there was traffic on Von Brug Strasse during the day. However, things really quiet down at night. Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was fantastic. So many choices, great coffee, and a very homey feel to the entire property. Would stay here again.

Hotel hat eine super Lage, fast nur tolle freundliche Mitarbeiter, Kleinigkeiten könnte man bemängeln. Sehr gute Frühstück plus Service bis auf Kaffee ( Filterkaffe ist für mich no go in 4 **** Hotel) und bis auf ein Mitarbeiter freundliche Empfang 😊. Sauna, Infrarotkabine und Pool ( 29 grad war mir persönlich zu kalt)in Preis inbegriffen kann man wirklich loben. Was gestört hat war das drängen das Zimmer zu Reinigung frei zu geben obwohl es heißt bis 12.00 Auscheckzeit ( vielleicht stand das Zimmermädchen unter Zeitdruck dennoch kommt es nicht gut an. Trotz allem würde ich mich wieder für diesen Hotel entscheiden.

This hotel and its staff were a pleasure! We arrived at the train station and walked about 10minutes to the hotel. We were immediately impressed by the old world charm of its public spaces and the amenities of indoor pool, sauna, & steam bath. The buffet breakfast with made to order eggs was a delightful way to start the day and an afternoon teatime was a nice touch. Located centrally right in the middle between Garmisch & Partenkichen, which were both walkable, we will be happy to return!

Det var ett trivsamt hotell, men det som drog ned det hela var sängen och kudden. Sängen i mitt enkelrum var alldeles för mjuk och nerlegad! Positivt var att det är ett gemytligt hotell. Kudden var för stor och otyplig. Gick inte att forma! Hade lite svårt med mitt ben att ta mig över badkarskanten på ett säkert sätt när jag hade duschat färdigt. Jag kände att Frukostpersonalen gjorde sitt bästa för att man skulle känns sig välkommen! Positivt var att man får stekt omelett om man vill och då ingår det. Bröden blev dessutom godare av att låta dem gå på bandet genom den stora brödrosten. Blev nästan som direkt från ugnen. Tee-time betyder att man själv får ta sig en kopp te mellan 16-17:30. Men mjölk hittade jag ingen. Jag hade dock inte tid och ork att använda poolen. Men detsåg mysigt ut med i varmt väder öppna glasdörrar ut mot trädgården.

The room was spacious and we loved having a balcony with a view of the mountains, where we could sit outside in the evenings. The staff was helpful and nice. The breakfast was good and the breakfast room really lovely, with access to the garden. We also enjoyed the sauna. The hotel was situated in the middle of Garmish Partenkirchen, not too far from the station and with easy walking distance to both parts of the town.

If you're a frequent traveler in Europe, you will know the vibe. It's been awhile since they've done any remodeling so it feels like a bit of a throwback, but hey it's nice not to stay in some overly tricked out boutique hotel. The back courtyard is really lovely and a great place to have breakfast whilst having the Alps looming over you. And that's why you're there in the first place.

Hjertelig velkomst og skøn receptionist. Skønt hotelværelse, som er dejligt stort, med egen terrasse. Rigtig hyggeligt og lækker morgenmad med alt hvad man kunne ønske sig. Ligger bynært men roligt. Vi vil helt sikkert anbefale dette hotel til andre, som ønsker sig nogle skønne dage i Garmisch.
