Centrally located in Lausanne (directly at Central Station). Room is big enough and well cleaned, but the street is noisy - sleeping with open windows is not really possible, but air conditioning is working well. You can do everything by foot (lake side or city). The room has a coffee machine and a fridge. Parking is possible in a garage nearby (~10min foot walk), costs 20fr/day.

Excellent and super-friendly staff. But be careful if you take this hotel because of the gym and SPA, since you will use the public gym next to the hotel with strange rules, like no gym-tops allowed, and also the sauna was not working on Sunday :(

If arriving by car, beware. Two lanes of taxi rank in front of hotel. No where for us to park. Had to find a public car park, then walk to hotel to check in. Staff advised us to park just off footpath then unload bags from car. Then given instructions of hotel accredited car park which is a 8 minute walk away. If arriving by train, no worries, as station opposite hotel. Think that hotel website could give forward warnings of car parking situation in advance.

Je n'ai pas du tout aimé ma chambre. Une odeur très forte de désinfectant en entrant pour masquer l'odeur de la chambre avec une moquette tachée. Minibar vide et frigo qui ne marchait pas. Douche avec pression faible, pas agréable, mais salle de bain refaite et propre. Draps rèches. Juste en face de la gare et surtout des travaux! Quartier peu reluisant... Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c'est! Mais pratique pour 1 nuit...

Our room on 5th floor had a great view of the lake and alps. Breakfast in cafe on ground floor great. Next to train station and subway, and many bus lines. Free transit pass was fantastic. Great pizza and Italian restaurant just up street, and hotel gave us a coupon for 2 free cocktails there. Use of subway and busses a must. Boat cruise great, get 1st class ticket for more room. Gegenüber Hbf. mit guter Anbindung zum ÖPNV in Lausanne. Freundliches Personal, Zimmer einfach, klein und gefühlt etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Dusche modern mit Rainshower. Aber: Aufgrund der Ausrichtung als „grünes Hotel“ ist im Mai die Klimaanlage noch chat betriebsbereit und kann auch nicht kurzfristig abgeschaltet werden. Zimmer ging zur Straße/Bahnhofsplatz und Schlafen bei offenem Fenster unmöglich. Das kleine Zimmer tat sein Übriges und im Laufe der Nacht wurde es unerträglich warm. Klimaanlage online anzupreisen und zentral abzuschalten ist nicht akzeptabel, grünes Hotel hin oder her.

The main attraction of this hotel is that it is across the street from the station. My moderate sized single room was a little noisy from the heavy traffic on the very busy street. Not a bad pace for one or two nights. Desk clerk was very personable and helpful. 7/10.

This hotel is right next to the railway station and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We registered on the hotel app choosing to be environmentally friendly and agree to not having the room cleaned for the 3 days we were there and that gave us a refund on 10 CHF. We were surrounded by great restaurants and were able to walk to all the attractions However the metro was right outside if we needed it lovely room and comfy beds. We were given a Swiss pass which gave us free travel on trains and buses. Excellent service, we will be back!

We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Continental, and while overall it was a pleasant experience, my disappointment with the handing of a safety incident must be address. On November 2, 2023, one guest had a fall in the shower resulting in minor injuries. We promptly informed to the front desk to the incident because of the safety issues and concern. The young lady was very responsive and concerned. Rather than expressing genuine concern for his well-being and seeking to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident, the general manager's reply felt dismissive and lacked the professionalism one would expect from a reputable establishment. It seemed as though guest safety was not a priority for him. We suggested the hotel could use slip resistant stripe or mats in the tub/showers, his response was "We do not have those here." Instead, he said, "what do you want from me?" and offered us free breakfast. In situations like these, a compassionate and customer-centric approach is crucial. A simple apology and an assurance that the matter would be investigated would have sufficed, general manager F. Thank you, D. Miller

The most awesome part of the hotel was the staff. The night staff, Michele and his assistant, were incredibly helpful with our questions about the rail systems. This was our first experience with swiss railways and they were patient and helpful with each of our inquiries. The location could not be more convenient to the rail station and restaurants.

The staff is very welcoming. I had a room which was spacious and calm. The transportation is next to the hotel and I was given a transport card letting me use all public transportation within the limits of Lausanne and surrounding villages. The hotel is across the street from the train station. At night the train station does not feel very safe. Lot of homeless and panhandlers. But this is not a problem if you ignore them.
