Wonderful relaxing stay in a beautiful traditional hotel. We received valet parking which was a delight. The hotel is located in a great location and they were able to offer travel advice which enabled a short trip to the main spots around the lake. Can't wait to return.

The property and rooms were beautiful. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The location was great and centrally located with shops and restaurants a quick walk away. The valet parking which was included in our room rate was a nice added feature.

Lovely hotel and very comfortable. Good location.Parking was across the road and chargeable but Hotels.com member benefits covered this. Additional pillows in the room would have been nice otherwise couldn't fault it. Free local transport passes were a good addition too.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans l'ensemble malgré quelques mauvaises surprises. Tout d'abord, il y avait des poils dans les toilettes et des traces de sang sur le radiateur de la salle de bain. Enfin, quand nous sommes arrivés nous nous sommes garés sur le parking et à la réception nous avons demandé comment ça se passait vu que que nous avons eu un ticket à l'entrée du parking. S'il faillait le valider ou quelque choses comme ça. La réceptionniste nous a alors dit de lui donner le ticket et les clefs de voiture et si besoin elle nous donnerais les clefs. Résultat 30€ de parking alors qu' à aucun moment elle nous a dit que c'était payant et sur le site de réservation le parking est inclus.

The walk from the train station was a hard walk uphill ending with a huge flight of stairs to the hotel. We are in our 60's and 70's. We wished there had been a warning and we would have gotten a taxi. The rooms were fine but our carpet was very dirty.

We had a lake view room but fronts a very busy street so it was noisy. We stayed 2 nights and had no maid service or room amenities which was disappointing. The valet parking was awesome tho and the restaurant was convenient and good for dinner. If I’m ever in Lausanne again I would opt to stay on water front instead of old town for less noise and greater walkability.

Lovely hotel and room with a super view. But the room was so over heated. The radiator was on the highest setting when I arrived, I turned it off, but the room was still like a sauna for the rest of the night, and this was on quite a cold day in March! Very poor sustainability wise to be using so much heating unnecessarily.

I had a single room with view to the back yard (so no view at all), which means no or less daylight. it was pretty dark in the room during morning or in the afternoon. Room was with carpet and the interior color made it even more dark. A bit disappointed with the room. I booked in this hotel because I had a nice, modern and bright room with wooden floor when I stayed here back in 2020. But I don’t blame the hotel, I booked the wrong room this time. Next time I try to book again that double room for single use. No complimentary bottle of water offered in the room. I know tap water is drinkable. But expected for such hotel an offered bottle of swiss mineral water. Breakfast option was small for such a 4 star hotel. It was good but repetitive for four nights - every day sausages, scramble eggs and beacon as hot option. The birchermüesli was great. Bread options were good. Staff were friendly. The entrance is also nice.

Staying here ruined my day and evening. The staff were rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. The waiter at the restaurant of the hotel made me wait for 10 mins while casually conversing with other customers before greeting me only to say there are no tables available at 5pm despite the restaurant only having 3 guests seated (atleast 20 tables empty). When I provided this feedback to the receptionist she shrugged her shoulders at me repeatedly advising I should really go talk to the waiter and not bother her. When told her behaviour was not pleasant she continued to deliberately shrug her shoulders more in response. Not sure intimidating and patronising paying guests is the best way to do business. Will never have the displeasure of staying there again.

I am somewhat dissatisfied. As a Gold member of Hotels.com I should have been upgraded. The staff told me they were sold out but I went on Hotels.com and it showed that they had 8 upgraded rooms available. Also, we were out of the room from 8am to 3:45 and the room was not serviced, I had a conference call going on and was told either they clean the room now or it won't be cleaned. It was not serviced.

The Reception team single-handedly ruined what could have been a nice experience. They are shockingly terrible and unwilling to provide good service. They were doing renovations and failed to tell me and put me in a room right across from drilling and very loud noises and dust. They then moved me to another room - the only one without a balcony on that side of the hotel. You’d think they’d want to make a good impression and make up for a disappointing check in. After that so many issues followed with parking, room temperature, and the valet service, and every time the Reception team couldn’t have been more inefficient and indifferent. It’s not rocket science. They could have done so much more to make my stay more comfortable and to provide proactive and welcoming customer service and did not. I would not recommend staying at the hotel.

The room was perfect even though we had only one big towel in the bathroom instead of two … I did not bother to go get a second one. Our room was spacious, clean and warm with nice crispy sheets. The personal was not really accommodating. We had a free parking from Hotels.com but they wanted us to pay anyway, blaming the IT system … despite us showing a screen shot etc. We spent more than 15min trying to solve that issue. For a 4 stars the breakfast was not so nice. The scrambled eggs was a warm luck broken omelet, they forgot the cream … not a big variety. Only a certain number of tables was ready for breakfast and we struggled to find one. But the personal there was very nice. Location is about perfect I would not say anything if this hotel wasn’t a four star because I don’t need that much to be happy. But for the ones expecting four stars services, they may be some disappointment.

Beautiful hotel situated on higher elevation from train station. We walked from train station to hotel not knowing it’d be uphill. Thankfully, there was an public elevator to avoid climbing the steeper hill. Room was beautiful, clean, modern, and spacious. Hotel is next to high end shops. Our room has a balcony that looks on the shopping alley for Louis Vuitton.

Whenever I’am in Lausanne and there is a need for me to stay in a hotel, my first choice is always Hotel de la Paix!… Always a pleasure!!! Unfortunately the Usually peaceful ,quiet, evenings of rest were interrupted with a fracas coming from the park situated across from the Hotel at my last stay…A group of people playing loud music singing and using vulgarities (that could clearly be heard) tarnished an otherwise “brilliant” stay at the hotel…Not to mention kept me awake..I truly hope the hotel will take the necessary steps to insure in future that guests rest is not interrupted by a situation that is manageable. The hotel is very nice, but is not walkable from train station. With metro or bus, we still have to walk about 5 minutes with uphill brick roads, not easy for pulling luggages. Other than that, the hotel is great, located right at the center of downtwon.

Been staying here for 15 years - great location and very good access to public transport. Restaurants and bars all close by- great views in the morning towards Mont Blanc and Evian at breakfast ( when a clear day) and also from rooms if you opt for lake view

The room was a lot bigger than I was expecting. Very comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. The hotel is very well looked after. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The valet parking is something I have not experienced before and was very impressive. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. I would have liked a bit more choice for breakfast but everything was nice. The hotel is in a very busy area so traffic is quite heavy. I would be happy to stay here again.
