This is an unusual hotel--more of a guest house--in an excellent location. The views and pool are wonderful, and the neighborhood is great for walking, restaurants, etc.

Unique opportunity to stay with a multigenerational family in a beautifully appointed summer home converted to a hotel. The public and private rooms are decorated with the art of a very important Peruvian artist. The bar is warm and friendly. The breakfast overlooking the Pacific Ocean is very special. Pay the extra fee and get the room with the hammock and floor to ceiling glass that lets in the breeze of the Ocean and is sooo relaxing that you will not want to leave your room. Bring a bathing costume, because the pool is cold and an experience all of itself. This is a very special experience.

A former artist studio and home converted into a hotel. Has a spectacular ocean view, super-clean, friendly staff, great breakfast (it's more substantial than "continental" fare), comfortable rooms, and a space so inviting we were tempted to forego sightseeing and just stay at the hotel all day. They offer rides to/from airport (for an additional, reasonable fee). Very much for those more interested in perusing the fascinating art collection, quirky interior design, and unique grounds than having a conventional hotel experience. Felt like I was going back in time 100 years—in a good way!

This spot is very unique. It’s a very old building with a lot of charm. The art is amazing and the views can’t be beat. There are charming yard sculptures everywhere. The staff are extremely accommodating and helpful.The room was huge and well appointed. Best Pisco sour of my trip at the bar.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. A nice quirky place to stay. Checkout time could be later (10am) and the pool has nowhere to sit which was slightly disappointing.

We LOVED it here, perhaps the most magical place I’ve ever stayed, beautiful building, sea view, art and sculptures everywhere in a safe and interesting neighbourhood with lovely bars and restaurants. Second Home Peru is a beautiful property. The staff was exceptionally welcoming. They helped set up transport to and from the airport. This is a great neighborhood to base yourself in Lima. Breakfast and ocean views are fantastic. Oh, and the artwork.... amazing stuff!

A very special place, filled with art by Peruvian artist Delfin. The entire house and its gardens feel somewhat surreal. Our room was very nice with a high ceiling and comfortable bed, though the bathroom was an open design. I’m usually not a great fan of that but it worked, providing airflow through the room. Staff was excellent and very helpful, serving freshly cooked breakfast. My only complaint is that there are few power outlets and unfortunately the floor seemed a little dirty. This is a problem we had elsewhere during our stay in Peru as well.

We spent four nights in two rooms (our first choice room was already taken for part of our stay.) The staff was attentive and accommodating. They seemed almost clairvoyant, magically appearing to help me with bags when I started by myself. The place was clean throughout, with some amazing sculptures in the courtyard and patio. I don’t think they could have done better.

Amazing views. Very friendly staff. Limited breakfast. Our room had ants. Cats and a dog allowed in most indoor gathering areas.

What a gorgeous, artsy place to stay! This bed and breakfast is clean, safe and super organized. It felt like staying in a museum on the ocean. I would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful location, clean rooms, and great neighborhood. The staff, particularly the woman serving breakfast was rather unwelcoming and cold, but otherwise we had a great experience.

Everything was perfect. The heater kept the room warm. I really like all the balconies and views. The room was huge. Staff was great! No complaints

We stayed in the apartment with a living room, kitchen, bedroom, and two balconies with incredible views of the surf and coastline. The artwork of Victor Delfin is incredible. The staff is so friendly and helpful in every way. The bohemian Barranco neighborhood is the best in Lima. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic location in Barranco with beautiful ocean views and original art throughout. Quick walk to everything you need. Great customer service, Luis and Enrique were super helpful! My room had a nice ocean view and great air conditioning (very important!). It was pretty minimalist, but the mattress and bedding were super comfortable. If you’re sensitive to noise and choose an oceanfront room, bring earplugs! The Pacific highway is also right there, and it stays loud and busy until late. The only thing I wish they’d provided is drinking water in the rooms. Oh, and the breakfast was simple but really delicious—one of the best breakfasts on my whole trip. Fresh baked bread for the win!

I have been raving about this hotel since we left. This is much, more than a hotel - it’s a museum. The hotel is owned by Victor Delfin’s son and daughter. They are constantly present and an integral part of the day to day care of the property. They serve the breakfast in the morning. The room we had was Mirador 3 it was huge. It had a downstairs and upstairs where the bathroom was with a nice shower/bathtub. You could see a glimpse of the ocean while in the bathtub. It had a little balcony that overlooked the Pacific Ocean.. From the balcony we could see Victor’s studio. Victor’s assistant was working on a sculpture and we watched him while he worked. The grounds are beautiful and filled with paintings and sculptures by Victor Delfin. Victor is such a famous artist and sculptor. People visit the property because his work is on display. His son, Carlos will give you a tour of his studio as he did for us. Victor came out while we were there and talked to us. He is 97 years old. We loved the location of the hotel. There were many restaurants nearby and the main park nearby. There is one restaurant called insolina. They have a dish called Lomo Saltado that is sooooo delicious. All their food is exceprional. It is on the same street as Second home Peru.. The Barranco neighborhood was beautiful and safe. We walked the streets, stopped in at bars for a glass of wine, talked to the friendly local people. I can’t say enough about our stay there.

This place is beautiful and the people are very nice. However, no fault of the property, but I had booked it because it seemed to overlook the ocean. It definitely does, but there's a highway down there and its very loud. So it was not the peaceful escape I was hoping for. Apparently, it is very hard to find quiet in Barranco anywhere. Lots of major busy roads. It was also very hot in my room, there was not air circulation. This won't matter most months of year, but not a good option for summer. If I stayed again, I would only book the rooms in the house. They are further from the ocean highway and have better windows for for air circulation.

Wonderful historic 100 year old house. Ocean view room was fantastic! Electrical and plumbing was old and security to room was poor with easy access from upper common patio door that blew open with just a breeze. Staff was great

The place is absolutely unique. The ocean view is breath taking, the garden is filled with sculptures, the rooms are large and renovated. Given it is an old house, the noise can travel well from one room to the other, but a 10pm curfew seems respected. Breakfast is very good and cooked for you (eggs, bacon, cheese, fresh fruit and juice). The mattresses would benefit from being replaced. The art pieces and the presence of the artist studio (Victor Delfin) make it a destination of choice. The house is close to all the attractions of the Barranco neighborhood and is an oasis of nature in Lima.

It's a good looking hotel and the service is good. Word of caution: the rooms facing the ocean are very noisy. Not only is there a constant din from traffic on the road below, but also directly across the street is a club-restaurant that plays high volume music until 2 AM

Great building and decor and the front office staff are really helpful. The hotel lets itself down with a very basic breakfast, which is the same bread and jam plus a bit of egg, cheese and fatty bacon - which is exactly the same every day. It was really dull after 5 days. The other issue at breakfast is the staff (which I think are the owners) - they shout at each other across you and there is no door to the kitchen so when they do the same in kitchen it booms through to the dining area and completely spoils the tranquil setting and music they put on. I get the feeling they have become a little lazy with customer service

Unfortunately our plain was delayed and we lost a lot of time. Only enjoyed this beautiful house for few hours. But staff was very kind, let us in at 2 am, let us leave our backpacks after checking out, helped with info. Would love to go back!

Loved staying in Barranco and staying at this property exceeded my expectation. Just imagine sound of the ocean while you are sleeping despite the windows being closed. It was very clean and close to many things but what struck me most is customer service: The day before arriving there I had injury and per his manager Enrique took me to the clinic and stayed with me until I was done. I don’t speek spanish and they wanted to make sure I was taken care of. I will never forget their kindnes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I think the owners take guests for granted though and the service is tired and a little rude - breakfast is 3 bread rolls and jam, plus a little egg and bacon, but it’s exactly the same every day. I don’t understand why the owners don’t put a bit more effort into this. The owners also have extremely loud conversations over you, whilst eating - including booming voices from the kitchen (they don’t close the door) and they sometimes shout at each other across you as though you are not there. Front desk staff great, very helpful and friendly, but I think the owners take guests for granted and don’t really try to make them feel welcome

Great central stay in Barranco.

It’s a wonder place to stay. Perched on top of the cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean just above the Barranco beach. The grounds are kept beautiful and it’s a short lovely walk to the beach. There are several restaurants and coffee shop’s within walking distance. Breakfast is provided with the most delicious rolls that we had on the trip. Victors artwork is on every wall and statues are all around you. Be sure to take the tour of his workshop and hopefully see him in action as we did. We got to meet him and watch him work, it was amazing! Take some ear plugs with you though because the night life nearby can be loud.

This property was fantastic with unbelievable artwork throughout. At the end of a quiet street close to fantastic dining and great areas for street art and shops

A gem of a BnB in the fantastic neighborhood. Super close to the Malecon for wonderful sunset walks! Just out of Miraflores which softens the crush of the city. It was a wonderful art filled sanctuary with fantastic views and the most helpful staff. An absolutely amazing place!

This is an one of a kind property. If you are looking for a unique quirky place to stay in Lima on a cul de sac overlooking the ocean full of art and sculpture, I highly recommend this place. The view of the ocean was amazing. The only disappointment was that Lima has an oceanfront highway all along the coast so you hear the waves and the traffic. But as long as you know that, it's a great place. Barranco neighborhood is full of cafes and nice little restaurants, but pretty low key compared with Miraflores, which I liked.

The room, location, price, and art on the property was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel but would not rely on the continental breakfast (plenty of nearby cafes). Coffee was bad. Service was responsive when requested but sort of absent otherwise. Overall, the room (including patio) and view made the stay fantastic.

This hotel exceeded all expectations. It’s in a fantastic neighborhood overlooking the ocean. Breakfast was so delicious and the service was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
