Passend zum Hotel-Style gab es zur Begrüßung einen Eierlikör, wie zu Großmutter’s Zeiten. Hervorzuheben ist das gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis des Frühstücks. Sehr gute Müsli-Auswahl, Cashewkerne, Mandeln, etc., sehr leckere selbstgemachte Frühstücksaufstriche (nirgendwo bekam ich jemals Eierlikör-Aufstrich), Brötchen, Wurst, Käse, etc. entsprechen dem Standard. Eine sehr nette Geste ist die Einladung zum Kaffee und Kuchen um 16:00. Im Umkreis von 5min Laufweg gibt es im angrenzenden Wohngebiet ausreichend kostenfreie Parkmöglichkeiten. Das ruhige Zimmer zur Nordseite war sehr groß und geräumig, allerdings ist vor allem der Teppichboden in die Jahre gekommen. Auch in den Hotelfluren fiel der überall fleckige Teppichboden ins Auge. Ansonsten ein zu empfehlendes Hotel mit seinem ganz eigenen Charme.

Sehr angenehmes nostalgisches Hotel, Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und bemüht, Zimmer sauber, klein aber o.K., Frühstücksbuffet zufriedenstellend, Parkplatzsituation vor dem Hotel schwierig, zentrale Lage zur Innenstadt und zur BUGA.

I was very disappointed in our stay. Kids on the ground floor literally running everywhere making checking in, out, breakfast, and carrying luggage in very difficult. I believe they are housing refugees which is very kind of them but there needs to be a better way separate a living space for these families and a checking in area for hotel guests. We were skipped in line several times while trying to check in over a broken dart board, checking mail, and whatever demands the kids had at their whim. The children definitely deserve a little grace in their circumstance but it makes things hard for paying customers. Also very hard to explain to my child why she couldn’t run and play tag in the hotel hallways when the other kids were. When we checked in we were told we could only park for one of the two nights we were staying (What?!? I wasn’t aware we needed to “prebook” parking) and our room we had booked (with ac) was not available. Once I told them this was not acceptable a very helpful worker worked hard to find solutions. Unfortunately once he was off things only went down hill from there. We didn’t receive maid service. I completely understand if this is a COVID policy but we were never told we wouldn’t get it. This meant no coffee replenishment and we never had any soap in the shower. The container was empty and I was hoping the maid would catch it. I informed the gentleman at checkout and he just looked at me with a blank look and rushed me a long.

Ja,leider macht sich nun der Personalmangel auch in diesem schönen Hotel bemerkbar, Abstriche bei Reinigung der Zimmer( Anmeldung am Vorabend) und Qualität des Frühstücks( keine selbstgemachten Aufstriche mehr), wobei ich 15 Euro für das Frühstück für nicht angemessen halte; für das was angeboten wird.

Freundlicher Empfang, alles war sauber und hat funktioniert. Mein Zimmer war ziemlich klein, aber auch das kleinste des Hotels und für den Preis völlig in Ordnung. Außerdem ging es zum Hinterhof und war deshalb auch bei offenem Fenster sehr ruhig.

Hôtel sympathique à 10 minutes de marche de la Wasserturm. Personnel très accueillant. Chambre agréable, mais l'insonorisation intérieure n'est pas suffisante et on entend un peu ses voisins de chambre. Bon petit déjeuner qui, pour le prix, mériterait un plus grand choix en charcuterie et/ou fromage. La déclaration des salons est géniale, on se sent vraiment chez notre tante Alma !

Het was een heel fijn verblijf in mijn 1persoonskamer. Warme belichting. Goed zacht bed om in weg te zinken. Een heel gezellig retro hotel. En ik hou erg van retro :) Vriendelijk personeel ook. Als ik nog eens in Mannheim kom ga ik niet verder zoeken. Tot ziens en hartige groetjes!

Great Staff and Atmosphere! Wonderful the addvocat drink at reception- plus gratis coffee and cake. The big minus point was that the T.V. reception was inacceptable... the ONLY channel that worked was the shopping channel. In an area where there is not much going on, TV for guests should be a given!

I was very disappointed in our stay. Kids on the ground floor literally running everywhere making checking in, out, breakfast, and carrying luggage in very difficult. I believe they are housing refugees which is very kind of them but there needs to be a better way separate a living space for these families and a checking in area for hotel guests. We were skipped in line several times while trying to check in over a broken dart board, checking mail, and whatever demands the kids had at their whim. The children definitely deserve a little grace in their circumstance but it makes things hard for paying customers. Also very hard to explain to my child why she couldn’t run and play tag in the hotel hallways when the other kids were. When we checked in we were told we could only park for one of the two nights we were staying (What?!? I wasn’t aware we needed to “prebook” parking) and our room we had booked (with ac) was not available. Once I told them this was not acceptable a very helpful worker worked hard to find solutions. Unfortunately once he was off things only went down hill from there. We didn’t receive maid service. I completely understand if this is a COVID policy but we were never told we wouldn’t get it. This meant no coffee replenishment and we never had any soap in the shower. The container was empty and I was hoping the maid would catch it. I informed the gentleman at checkout and he just looked at me with a blank look and rushed me a long.

Chambre agréable, mais l'insonorisation intérieure n'est pas suffisante et on entend un peu ses voisins de chambre. Bon petit déjeuner qui, pour le prix, mériterait un plus grand choix en charcuterie et/ou fromage. La déclaration des salons est géniale, on se sent vraiment chez notre tante Alma !

Freundlicher Empfang, alles war sauber und hat funktioniert. Mein Zimmer war ziemlich klein, aber auch das kleinste des Hotels und für den Preis völlig in Ordnung. Außerdem ging es zum Hinterhof und war deshalb auch bei offenem Fenster sehr ruhig.

Passend zum Hotel-Style gab es zur Begrüßung einen Eierlikör, wie zu Großmutter’s Zeiten. Hervorzuheben ist das gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis des Frühstücks. Sehr gute Müsli-Auswahl, Cashewkerne, Mandeln, etc., sehr leckere selbstgemachte Frühstücksaufstriche (nirgendwo bekam ich jemals Eierlikör-Aufstrich), Brötchen, Wurst, Käse, etc. entsprechen dem Standard. Eine sehr nette Geste ist die Einladung zum Kaffee und Kuchen um 16:00. Im Umkreis von 5min Laufweg gibt es im angrenzenden Wohngebiet ausreichend kostenfreie Parkmöglichkeiten. Das ruhige Zimmer zur Nordseite war sehr groß und geräumig, allerdings ist vor allem der Teppichboden in die Jahre gekommen. Auch in den Hotelfluren fiel der überall fleckige Teppichboden ins Auge. Ansonsten ein zu empfehlendes Hotel mit seinem ganz eigenen Charme.
