Was initially very impressed and delighted with the look and comfort of the room.Staff were very friendly & helpful. Dinner was nice. Bar stayed open till 1am which was great as I have insomnia. However, the shower was barely lukewarm, and the heating went off during the night.

Very friendly staff and excellent value .Rooms are comfortable and shower is powerful and correct temperature. Dinner and breakfast are good value and freshly cooked . Plenty of on site parking too .

The room was so unbearably hot, we could not sleep at all. I am from Queenslans Australia, so I am used to hot weather, but this would have been over 28 or 29 degrees easily! It was coming from out in the hallway. The shower was also completely mouldy and disgusting

Rooms were ok but very dated, paintwork was dirty, cobwebs on ceiling and corridor was very noisy with people slamming doors on a night time. Could also hear next door snoring all night, very frustrating.

The hotel dates from the 60’s and this shows in the older parts of the building. Our room was dated and there is mould around the windows and shower. Comfy bed. Also only one window so would be warm in the winter but also very warm in the summer. Staff were very friendly and the buffet breakfast was ample. Disappointed only sachet coffee for breakfast. I think very overpriced at ( the discount price ) of £105

Our hotel room was exceedingly hot even after we turned off the heater. Also, we could not eat dinner in the restaurant because a bus of 30 people were staying at the hotel and they took all the restaurant reservations making it impossible for us to eat at the hotel restaurant under after 8pm which is way too late to have dinner! In turn, we had to find a local restaurant to drive to and have dinner. Fortunately for us, the food was less expensive, the menu was better and the food was excellent. The front desk person should have spaced out the reservations for the group of 30 people so that other hotel customers could have eaten at the restaurant. It was very frustrating and inconvenient for us!

It was a pleasant stay 2 adults 1 child, however, the room was far too hot. Ridiculously warm, we had to go and buy a fan from Home bargains up the road, the small one in the room was very dusty and didn't really help. I heard a lot of guests complaining about the heat.

The layout of the building is awkward, the rooms are small and in need of updating, the key card stock needs to be replaced (our key stopped working twice in two days), and the internet was nonfunctional in our room at the back of the property. However, breakfast was good and the staff was helpful. Again, for the cost it was a good value. But the cost was low.

This hotel is in need of some TLC. I arrived to check in by 11pm and there was a sign on the locked door to call their number to be let in by the night porter. I called the number several times but it went straight to voicemail. I banged on the door loudly for approximately 5 minutes until one of the drunk workmen from the bar let me in. The room was reasonable but could use a freshen up, and the red doors to each room look like a prison. Staff were friendly but I was disappointed.

Well justified 3 star rating. Top quality bed, bedding, towels, curtains and bedroom furniture etc. Excellent shower. Very hard working, friendly and helpful staff. Brilliant location for all the local attractions.

Good base for exploring Stirling. The restaurant on site does pretty well at dinner but the breakfast buffet was wanting. There are good places in town for breakfast. Our room was fine, but it was interesting getting into the shower. There was a very high step into the elevated tub, and there were no handles or grab bars. Something to be aware of if you have limited mobility. The shower head was also low. Very friendly staff and the location is great for checking out the historic sites

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. Location is right next door to Bannockburn historical site and within a 10 drive to many sights in Stirling. Public transit bus stop is also right outside. Breakfast buffet was excellent and dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Rooms look like they have been fairly recently refurbished, but hallways and exterior of the building could use a bit of a refresh. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The front desk person should have spaced out the reservations for the group of 30 people so that other hotel customers could have eaten at the restaurant. It was very frustrating and inconvenient for us!

Our hotel room was exceedingly hot even after we turned off the heater. Also, we could not eat dinner in the restaurant because a bus of 30 people were staying at the hotel and they took all the restaurant reservations making it impossible for us to eat at the hotel restaurant under after 8pm which is way too late to have dinner! In turn, we had to find a local restaurant to drive to and have dinner. Fortunately for us, the food was less expensive, the menu was better and the food was excellent. Good base for exploring Stirling. The restaurant on site does pretty well at dinner but the breakfast buffet was wanting. There are good places in town for breakfast. Our room was fine, but it was interesting getting into the shower. There was a very high step into the elevated tub, and there were no handles or grab bars. Something to be aware of if you have limited mobility. The shower head was also low. Very friendly staff and the location is great for checking out the historic sites

Reception was very nice receptionists was friendly & polite our double room was clean had everything I needed like hair dryer big mirror we had dinner/tea in hotel was very nice nothing was to much bother for the staff we meet bar was spacious & clean would definitely stay here again

Excellent for tourists as it was full of them from all over the world, food was very good but the menu is lacking more choices in my view breakfast was great and the staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here

This was the last hotel of 19 hotels, on a month's road trip. The staff, when we arrived, were fantastic, but definitely understaffed and overworked. How they managed to keep smiling and friendly, I do not know. We had decided to treat ourselves to a "deluxe" room. It was anything but deluxe. There was only 1 comfy chair, the view was supposed to be "garden" it was not a garden, a fence with a tree or two and grassland. Our stay at a different hotel, 2 nights prior, had a bedroom double the size, with 2 comfy chairs, a bathroom again, double the size. It also had a balcony with a table and 2 chairs, overlooking a river. It was £30 cheaper than this hotel. The reception area of this hotel, was lovely and well maintained, but walking through to the stairs, it was getting grubbier. When we got to the stairs, the carpet was filthy, frayed and coming away from it's fastenings. The walls were filthy, scraped and dented. Very badly maintained. The bedroom, was at least cleaner, but in no way can it be described as deluxe, there were not even any tissues. Definitely not worth the money we paid for it.
