What a gem! We were not expecting the wonderful, charming, and thoroughly enjoyable stay. This is the place to stay for a weekend or week on Capri. Centrally located, spotlessly clean, with large, quiet and charming rooms you will not be disappointed. The staff is absolutely wonderful, and was always available for assistance or advice. It is the oldest running hotel in Capri and when you stay there you understand why. It has that old Europe charm and decor, but is immaculately maintained. The pictures I viewed on Expedia and other sites made it look tacky, dated, and I feared our room and bathroom would be tiny. I was totally wrong. The decor works and our room was about 3 times the size I expected. The bed was perfect, and we not only had a patio, we also had a sitting room and refrigerator. We also took advantage of a small discount given to guests who use the spa on the ground level and can highly recommend it. We will be sure to return to Capri, and will definitely return to the Gatto Bianco!

The hotel and facilities were absolutely amazing. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean. The staff went above and beyond for every little thing. The hotel is located right in the middle of all the shopping, but far enough off the streets it was pretty quiet at night. The Persian cat that lives on the grounds was absolutely adorable and friendly. Tons of great dining options right around the hotel as well, and the breakfast the hotel served was awesome with tons of options. The bar at the hotel was also very modestly priced for the island and again; with lots of options. Overall, for the price; you can’t stay anywhere better in my opinion if you’re looking to stay in Capri. My only complaints are with the room (106) is that the patio door did not shut all the way; the weather was very nice but you could hear the nightlife and trash service when they came around. The water temperature in the shower seemed to have a mind of its own, getting very hot when it was at mid temperature setting. Those complaints are very small in the overall picture, but I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay on Capri for a decent price! 10/10 and 5 stars!!

The property is lovely with gorgeous tile everywhere and flowers surrounding the hotel. The breakfast is outstanding the best anywhere. Giuseppe and Giovanni at the front desk are very charming and helpful. Don’t miss staying at this hotel when you’re in Capri. It’s sophisticated and low key. They also have a wonderful spa on the premises that is great.

O Horel É muito bem localizado , bem no meio da rua principal Os quartos são grandes e muito confortável , com varanda e alguns com 2 quartos . Café da manhã bom mas pode melhorar . O hotel não tem Restaurante uma pena . Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo concierge que deu dicas e fez reserva para os restaurantes! Voltaria com certeza.

The hotel was in a great area, right in the heart of Capri yet it was quiet and secluded. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. Breakfast was excellent every morning. The bathrooms could use an upgrade but that is a minor point. Definitely recommend.

I stayed in an immaculately decorated and clean single room with balcony. The common area of the hotel is really beautiful and the buffet breakfast was fantastic with high quality cereals, cheese, meats, breads and pastries.

Hotel muito bem localizado, a metros da principal praça de Capri e perto de tudo. Desde a chegada o atendimento foi especial. Quarto amplo, limpo e bem decorado. Café da manhã bom, melhorado pelo atendimento dos funcionários, principalmente pelo senhor que atendia toda manha e ficava cantando enquanto servia deliciosos capuccinos. Voltaria e aprovo a estadia!

What a pleasant surprise to find a reasonably priced, quality hotel in the heart of Capri. Been to Capri many times. The cleanliness, location and professional staff made this place a winner in my book. Quaint, traditional- but appears very well maintained. We were a family of 6 (3 couples). Grazie mille!

Great location in the center of capri town. Everyone who works there was so friendly from the front desk to the cleaning staff. The hotel is so cute and relatively affordable for Capri. The room wasn’t that large but didn’t need more space anyways. It was lovely to have a terrace and there is a larger shared terrace and space outside the hotel if you want to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. The ambience of the hotel was great and I look forward to returning.

Amazing location, great staff, charming decor, excellent breakfast. My only suggestions for improvement would be the lock on the bathroom door and better hotel wifi in all areas, it was good in some parts of the ro and not great on other corner. overall highly recommend,Capri is amazing and this hotel was too.

I had the suite, Room 18, for my stay in Capri. The room was large with an extra large veranda, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms with a living room area / dining area. The bathrooms I would recommend renovating as the shower was extremely small in one and just had a tub in the other. The staff were amazing!

Although the tiled floor aesthetically was lovely, it means you hear every door open and close all night. The hotel quoted 200€ to collect us from the port but it was 35€ in a cab. No kettle in the room. TV the as small. Bed was rock hard but that didn't really matter as it was too noisy to sleep anyway.

Fantastic location in the heart of all the action in Capri. Hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only complaints I have was that it was impossible to regulate the shower water temperature (it would alternate between scalding hot and cold) and the cost to porter my suitcase from the ferry to the hotel - 60 euros just to bring one small suitcase up from the port to the hotel. Otherwise everything was really nice.

Lovely hotel in the very heart of Capri. Staff was attentive and helped with all recommendations. The funicular was a quick walk to get to the area beaches. You don’t have to take a taxi. Take the funicular and your luggage and you will save a fortune. There is a public beach right beside the beach clubs that doesn’t cost anything and Gatto Bianca will provide beach towels when asked! Breakfast was sufficient and the staff very kind and helpful!

We stayed a couple of nights at Gatto Bianco. Great room, good breakfast and very kind and attentive staff. The location is perfect in Capri - close to the funicular and dining/shopping areas. The front desk were also very helpful on getting us dinner and activities recommendations and making reservations for us.

No hot water at all . Came to fix it but then we had hot and cold but they did not mix . Front desk seems to think we didn’t know how to use a shower valve . Finally agreed to move us to another room . This room was much nicer and larger . Now we had hot water that could be mixed but needed to use the hand wand since the rain shower head did not work . Room was clean and breakfast was very nice . The front desk staff don’t seem to want to be helpful for some reason . The rest of the staff such as the man who tried to fix the shower were very nice and the breakfast staff . It was just the front desk that was difficult. Location is excellent . Definitely would not return there are better option nearby

After having amazing hotel experiences in Rome and Praiano, I was really looking forward to my stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location and it is a beautiful property; however, I didn’t feel the service was at the level that some of the other reviews mention. Upon arrival, we approached the front desk for check-in. There was a young man that called someone else to check us in. As soon as the other man came out to check us in, he looked at us like we had 3 heads, as if we weren’t what he was expecting, (I mean, my name is French, so maybe he was expecting a member of a royal family). There was no “welcome”, no conversation, I was just asked for my cc and it was all very transactional. We spent about five minutes and the entire time, I noticed the man looking at my husband up and down as if he was confused with the fact that we were staying there. I’d hate to think the obvious, but based on his demeanor I think it was pretty clear. At the breakfast area we did come across a really nice lady that was very friendly and helpful, but again, she was one of three breakfast attendants that acknowledged us. All other other hotels we stayed at treated us with respect and so much friendliness, so to say this was disappointing it’s an understatement.
After having amazing hotel experiences in Rome and Praiano, I was really looking forward to my stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location and it is a beautiful property; however, I didn’t feel the service was at the level that some of the other reviews mention. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Breakfast was nice, with fresh fruit, some savory items and sweet items. Hotel is right in the heart of Capri shops. Bit of a push with the suitcases to get to the hotel from the square, but doable.

Excellent location. Take a few steps to get into the front door. If you have knee issues, then lugging a suitcase up those steps can be an issue.

Lovely hotel in the very heart of Capri. Staff was attentive and helped with all recommendations. The funicular was a quick walk to get to the area beaches. You don’t have to take a taxi. Take the funicular and your luggage and you will save a fortune. There is a public beach right beside the beach clubs that doesn’t cost anything and Gatto Bianca will provide beach towels when asked! Breakfast was sufficient and the staff very kind and helpful!

The hotel was in a great area, right in the heart of Capri yet it was quiet and secluded. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. Breakfast was excellent every morning. The bathrooms could use an upgrade but that is a minor point. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic location in the heart of all the action in Capri. Hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only complaints I have was that it was impossible to regulate the shower water temperature (it would alternate between scalding hot and cold) and the cost to porter my suitcase from the ferry to the hotel - 60 euros just to bring one small suitcase up from the port to the hotel. Otherwise everything was really nice.

My only suggestions for improvement would be the lock on the bathroom door and better hotel wifi in all areas, it was good in some parts of the ro and not great on other corner. overall highly recommend,Capri is amazing and this hotel was too.

Hotel muito bem localizado, a metros da principal praça de Capri e perto de tudo. Desde a chegada o atendimento foi especial. Quarto amplo, limpo e bem decorado. O Horel É muito bem localizado , bem no meio da rua principal Os quartos são grandes e muito confortável , com varanda e alguns com 2 quartos . Café da manhã bom mas pode melhorar . O hotel não tem Restaurante uma pena . Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo concierge que deu dicas e fez reserva para os restaurantes! Voltaria com certeza.
