The hotel is in good condition and in a nice area with cafe's and restaurants within walking distance. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a family room which was very clean and comfortable. The only negative was there is very limited parking, we were fortunate to get the last parking space but other than that I can't fault our stay. Would happily stay here again.

Friendly and genuine greeting. Our room's card reader was faulty, but it was no problem at all for whoever was on reception to unlock the door when required. Free parking, room was good and bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was very tasty. The staff all went out of their way to ensure our stay was as perfect as it could be.

Had a 2 night stay here when dropping my daughter back at University. Convenient for Jesmond & Newcastle City Centre shops and cafes/restaurants. Hotel is a bit tired looking but was fine for the time I was there. Bonuses are free parking and Chakh Dhoom Indian restaurant next door if you don't want to go far!

Hotel is a bit dated and with no elevator. The room was exceptionally hot with no a/c or fan facility and once the window was opened it became too noisy from the road. Sleeping was very uncomfortable due to this. The Indian restaurant facility was exceptional

Really tired inside, sink was grimy and shower was falling down. There is ‘liquid soap’ in the shower but no shampoo or conditioner etc. the staff were absolutely lovely. The room was grim to be honest, but if you want a cheap room to get your head down, it’s okay. Just remember your toiletries!

Very clean room. Dining room for breakfast was lovely, spacious and breakfast was very good. Check in and out was efficient. Staff very nice and friendly. Only negative was disturbance from other occupants on my floor until 4am. Very little soundproofing and didn’t feel secure due to old ill fitting doors.

I booked a best western knowing there would be a restaurant not realising an Indian restaurant also the room was dirty and the radiator leaked into my bag which I was taking into hospital the following day so all my paperwork and clothes where wet nobody on reception when we left

Well located, 10 minute walk to west jesmond metro stop. Just a few minutes from the main 'strip' on osborne road. The hotel itself was very clean but could do with updating. I was in room 7, it was very small but decent enough.

Disappointing overall. The hotel is worn and badly in need of refurbishment. No elevator which was a surprise. The staff are very nice though and location was pretty good. I had to drive around for sometime as only about 8 parking spots available on site.

We visited at the end of February The room on arrival at 15:00 was cold. We returned to the room the following day at 12:30 for a couple of hours and again there was no heating in the room so we had to sit in the bed with covers over us.

The room was small and cosy, ideal for my solo trip. Nice bathroom, the only little thing i didn’t like was the lack of bath mat for the bath which i find a bit inconvenient cos it could be slippery, but one of the staff members provided me one. The rest was very good, receptionist was really helpful and friendly.

Staff were lovely and friendly. Very helpful regarding the busses and metro. Hotel was quiet and the room was comfy! Perfect location for Jesmond dene parkrun with the 11am checkout meaning I could get back and shower before having to leave! Would stay again!

The hotel is nice but fairly basic. However, the rooms are clean and functional. The staff are attentive and pleasant (special thanks to Susan for her help). The main bonus is the restaurant attached to the hotel, which is one of the finest Indian restaurants I've ever eaten in! When we asked to book a table, we were told that it was full, but because we were residents, they prepared a table in the bar and served us there! Excellent service and excellent food!

Fabulous team, great location for drinks and a meal as so many options on Osborn Road. Thanks for accommodating us with a late breakfast after parkrun. Staff couldn’t have been anymore friendlier and welcoming. Indian Restaurant is amazing. Would highly recommend.

The room cleanliness was ok. But the service was terrible. We booked the hotel to attend a graduation ceremony, but on the day of the graduation when we were about to get ready they said that they have to do a water line repair and cut off water completely. The plumbers were in the room even without our knowledge while we had gone out for a walk in the morning. I had to get ready due to time constraints while the plumbers were still in the room which was such an inconvenience. They left the washroom dirty after. Rooms aren’t soundproof so when the guests in the other rooms slam the door shut in the morning we woke up every time. At night when we were just talking in the room the front desk duty staff complained and annoyed us 4 times at night ruining our night saying we are loud and blamed us saying that we are smoking in the room even when we didn’t. Even we could hear other guests talking in their rooms. It’s advertised as they have room service but didn’t even have a phone to order room service, we had to climb all the way down ground floor to ask something. No lifts so had to carry really heavy luggages ourselves on the staircase. Overall bad experience, do not recommend.

Friendly and genuine greeting. Our room's card reader was faulty, but it was no problem at all for whoever was on reception to unlock the door when required. Free parking, room was good and bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was very tasty. The staff all went out of their way to ensure our stay was as perfect as it could be.

The hotel is nice but fairly basic. However, the rooms are clean and functional. The staff are attentive and pleasant (special thanks to Susan for her help). The main bonus is the restaurant attached to the hotel, which is one of the finest Indian restaurants I've ever eaten in! When we asked to book a table, we were told that it was full, but because we were residents, they prepared a table in the bar and served us there! Excellent service and excellent food!

Had a 2 night stay here when dropping my daughter back at University. Convenient for Jesmond & Newcastle City Centre shops and cafes/restaurants. Hotel is a bit tired looking but was fine for the time I was there. Bonuses are free parking and Chakh Dhoom Indian restaurant next door if you don't want to go far!

Room was clean and tidy. Nice bathroom and shower. Bar available at night. Full cooked breakfast available, with cereals, although not all options available for my stay s per the menu. Excellent Indian restaurant attached to the hotel. Very busy when there with locals. Food good, with a different menu than a normal Indian.

Fabulous team, great location for drinks and a meal as so many options on Osborn Road. Thanks for accommodating us with a late breakfast after parkrun. Staff couldn’t have been anymore friendlier and welcoming. Indian Restaurant is amazing. Would highly recommend.

Hotel is a bit dated and with no elevator. The room was exceptionally hot with no a/c or fan facility and once the window was opened it became too noisy from the road. Sleeping was very uncomfortable due to this. The Indian restaurant facility was exceptional

Requested a quiet room prior to arrival, not given. Ended up overlooking main road. Bed stuck against wall so only one way in or out. Carpets filthy, staff ok Noisy guests in adjacent rooms

Just stayed on a room only basis so cannot comment on breakfast. Hotel has an Indian restaurant but there are also a number of restaurants on the same street so you do not need to go into the city centre. 5-10 minutes walk to nearest metro station at West Jesmond. This is a long stay car park close to the station at £5 for 24 hours which was great as hotel has limited car parking and all streets around are resident permits only 7:30-9:30 am and 5-10 pm. It’s a friendly hotel and great location for exploring the city or surrounding area. Metro will take you directly to the coast if you don’t want to drive.

Hotel is 3 star but in good condition. Very friendly reception staff. Great location for what I was looking for……Jesmond Dene Parkrun and Great North 10k! Both within walking distance. Good bus service and short walk to metro station. Hotel has limited car parking and be aware of parking restrictions all around. Residents permits apply between 7:30-9:30 am and 5-10 pm. So if you don’t find a space you are struggling! But there is a very reasonable car park beside West Jesmond Metro at a cost of under £5 for 24 hours.

This an Indian restaurant. If you want a beer you have to sit amongst the diners. Indian food is not for me. I didn't have breakfast for all the above reasons. The room I had was above the kitchen very noisy at end of service. Would I stay again? No thanks.

Room 29 is a small double. Clean room but bathroom was dirty with mould. Shower curtain from a Psycho movie. Definitely the worst Best Western Hotel ever. Carpet on stairs and hall lights filthy and covered in dust. The positives are friendly staff and Jesmond is a nice area. Best Western you need to invest in your hotel. Premier Inn and Travelodge in Newcastle are showing you how in can be done.
