A new hotel which has just opened in Kalavryta. The condition of the hotel reflected how new it was. There is quite an amusing lift arrangement where you go up in one lift and then back down in another. When not carrying luggage, best to walk around. The owner didn’t speak much English, but really made us welcome!! He was kind enough to open breakfast early a couple of mornings so we could eat before we went out. This was a continental style affair. We didn’t eat an evening meal or drink in the hotel, we went into town instead. The only criticism was the design of the bathroom. This is a wet room with shower, toilet and basin. We found the shower drained slowly and the floor doesn’t prevent water seeping under the door into the bathroom. There is no method to stop this water getting into the bedroom.
