Riverside Inn & Suites Danville Virginia

Okay, this is a no frills hotel. But it was about half the price of others just down the street. Safe. Friendly staff. Our TV didn’t work, they replaced it right away. Bring your own coffee and Kleenex and you should be happy enough for the savings you got. Bed was comfortable and room clean. Quiet, and actually really surprisingly charming courtyard. It’s got a lot of potential.

Riverside Inn the staff is amazing. The property is in the process of updating. The room was comfortable but not towels,no coffee pot,lock didn't work.no ice machine or soda water machine. Room did have refridge, microwave,TV and comfortable bed. For the price and location it was good. I would stay again. Thank you to the staff and PK

It’s clear that this place is in transition and they’re working on getting it in better shape. The staff were very helpful. The room was fine, bed was comfortable, except there’s only a sheet and a thin blanket, so we had to use blankets we keep in the car. The biggest downside was that people appear to live at this hotel, so although we had no problems, we didn’t feel entirely safe. The courtyard is very nice.

For a place to sleep it was pretty good. No amenities what so ever. Not even a coffee maker.. They are in the process of remodeling but could be a little more care in the rooms they rent.

Great value. All hotels in area were a lot more pricy. Room was clean and service was good. Bathrooms might have been clean but differently in need of upgrade. Hotel courtyard is pretty and looked well maintained.

Convenient to Caesars Casino. Clearly undergoing ALOT of renovations, and has a ways to go. Gorgeous courtyard, room was reasonably clean, but smelled of cigarette smoke (a challenge for thise of us allergic to smoke). Fridge and small microwave provided, but no plastic cups or anything for brushing teeth, etc. Bed was relatively comfortable, but no spare pillows, blankets , or towels. I think in a few months, it will be wonderful, once more work is completed.

The door had a huge gap in it, and the air condition went right out the door. We had one towel. One roll of toilet paper no telephone. Three flights of stairs and no elevator.

The whole room smelled musty, dirty, and like people smoked in it. The walls were incredibly thin and didn't block any sound. The staff does not maintain the place, shower doesnt drain and the room looks uncleaned. Absolute dump.

the room was not clean there was a crack under the door way. I the bathtub was slow and there was stopper for the sink. When I was getting ready to put some cards in the night stand drawer the draw had condom left from the previous guest and I was very disappoint as the room was not clean or clean towels when I return to my room. I was not told I had to make my own bed and empty my trash. There was only one chair in the room for me or spouse to sit down. There not enough light in the room when you closed the curtain

This place was dirty, messy, no lamp shade, floors was cleaned when the building was built and never after that. The pictures in the internet is deceiving. I can not explain how bad this place is. JUST DONT STAY THERE!!!!!

Only 4 stars because the internet/wifi was out there was no phone in room to contact front desk. Good location to Shopping and Places to Eat. Close to CearsersCasino. I woukd stsy at Riverside Inn & Suites again and I recommend it.

This was quite possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life. Now more than ever I feel the responsibility to be as transparent as possible going forward on dealing with businesses, specifically businesses who clearly grift. The photos on Expedia appeared nice, but I was shocked to find the the entire room reeked of mold & mildew. I had to buy a candle to try to mask the smell, which did little to help. There was NO CLOSET, no hangers, no iron , no washcloths, no phone not even tissues in the bathroom. The floors are bare, not even a small rug. There are no outlets to charge your phone on the nightstand. I had to plug my electronics by a chair. I hate when business owners grift, there’s a lot of construction going on in other areas, the hotel is eyesore upon approaching on Riverside dr. 99cent generic ‘Spa green’ shampoo & conditioner. The caulking around the tub was visible, and the tub is too small to comfortably fit a 5’7 inch adult. I wasted every cent of my money, and I would strongly suggest that future clients not do the same. Finally there’s too many unsavory looking people lurking around the hotel. This place is a dump, but the receptionists are very nice….

The was blood spots all over the mattress pad where they have had bed bugs they put us in another room there was stains all over the sheets we left I try getting my money back but Hotels. Com is not working with me

Cigarette burns in comforter, room smelled of cigarette smoke, killed a couple roaches in the bathroom. A/C worked well.

Rooms were not clean, no washcloths, when asking for one was given a hand towel. Television did not work, tub was dirty and shower curtain nasty. Did not shower there. Room rate was high compared to the condtions of the rooms.

This hotel is working on upgrades and a remodel. However, my room was very clean and comfortable. My only criticisms are that there is not a designated closet as of yet. And there was no easily accessible electric outlet near the bed for my medical needs. Luckily, I was able to stretch the cord into the bathroom and use the outlet there. Other than that, the room was quiet and had a mini fridge, microwave and television. There's a lovely courtyard at the hotel's. center.

To start off walked into office was not impressed with the look, checked in went to our non smoking room, opens the door smelled straight like smoke no biggie got our stuff in pull out CPAP machine and no where to plug it in!! Big oh hell no. Looked over the whole room no outlets accessible and the only one was in the bathroom area welp that won’t work. Look in the bathroom only one towel and wash cloth for 2 of us and I’m sorry I share some things with my sister but ain’t sharing my bath towel, so proceed to office to explain 1 need an outlet for CPAP machine to sleep, young lady says I’ll bring an extension cord and put it in your bed. Also we need another towel and wash cloth she says ok it will be in bed with extension cord. Well not once did I try to get these thing but twice and needless to say the next day at noon I went to check out and explained why and the guy said I’m so sorry that happened and now I’m waiting on a refund for the 2 nights that I didn’t stay there. Please look at the room before you check in, that will be my plan from here on out or a chain hotel it is!!

The property used to be a beautiful hotel. Now, it seems to be just getting off the ground. Room had no smoke detector, plug at sink didn't work. Curtains didn't fit/close to outside, The parking lot was full of debris The front area as you walk in had no curtains so you could see nothing but junk piled up, The walkway to our room had water dripping and we witnessed a guest fall down in front of us because of it. The cost of a night was posted at $89 , we paid $127. The plus side-staff was very nice. Location was excellent. Bed and bath were comfortable and clean. We would not stay there again.

There was nl tissuse in bathroom. Went to office nobody was there. Nobody would answer phone when call.

Older hotel no frills but our room was clean.

There are some renovations being done to rooms, so there is some construction noise heard. You can hear street noise as well. If the rooms were better insulted it would bump the rating a bit. There's no closet or clothing bar to hang your clothes on. This is not the best hotel I've stayed in, but it's definitely not the worst. I would stay here again.

It was not updated with no where to hang your clothes tv not working properly just one chair no cups or ice bucket bed blankets had dirty spots.Pillows were flat as biscuits For the money spent on that was certainly was not worth 111.73 which included tax. I feel I was over charged. I will not be going back.

My daughter and I stay there for 7 days and not one day did the housekeeper come to empty trash, make the beds or anything. I called down to the office the first day we were there to see if somebody could get the tv to work, she said she was sending someone but they never showed up. Bathroom was dirty. Especially the tub. The only thing good was the location and the hot water in the bathroom.

Happy with my stay. Check-in was easy and the people at the front desk were kind and helpful. The room was clean and the mattress and pillows were comfy. I would recommend they add another blanket to the bed(s), because there was one rather thin one. But since it was just me I doubled it up and it was good. The environment was quiet and peaceful (and I always travel with earplugs as a just in case - didn't really need them). More water pressure in the shower would be wonderful if possible. The room was pretty standard: not fancy, but clean and a good value. No complaints. It was a good place to act as a "home base" as I was checking out the area.

Owner and family woke me up at 230 am to accuse me of something my neighbor was doing. I called the cops, got a refund and left. These people are racist and harrass you based on your skin color. Do not stay here! If you do, youve been warned.

Room was good the price for this area wonderfully cheap. If youre looking a bargain, this is it. Extremely nice person to check us in. Very accommodating. New things everywhere new paint floor sink toilet bed bed pillows. We were in room 202 very close to office on second floor.

I didn’t like the room had one wash cloth and one towel one night stand no table and the smallest tub I have ever seen! Also when checking in lady said they didn’t have the queen I book on line just a kind and I needed to pay 20 more dollars although I had already paid in full and it wasn’t refundable!

The place and area around was scary, felt unsafe. Dirty and run down. Looked like doing renovations or party abandoned. I left after 30 minutes. Should not be listed on Expedia site as I hold Expedia to the utmost high standard.

Good value and close to the Casino.

So the area seems sketchy. The hotel is a bit rundown. But the staff was really nice and for a cheap overnight stay is wasn’t bad. Slept fine (very thin blanket excluded) but we only needed a place to sleep for a few hours. Served its purpose. Again the staff was super nice

Always feel safe

Place is horrible. No one at the front desk. My wife almost got mugged. Three guys were waiting for her to get out of her car. Bunch of drug addict hanging around and many rooms were just open. Requested to cancel. No safe location.

Not knowing the area well, the description of the property indicated to me the hotel was affiliated with the new casino so I assumed that the property would be of newer construction and meeting Ceasers reputation but evidently that was not the case. Arriving from out of town I turned down the street beside the building by mistake only to be met by a couple who appeared homeless with a large collection of items around them sitting across from your hotel in a parking lot of a neighboring building. I then pulled in the parking lot and the place looked abandoned and desolate. The place was under construction and the side of the building facing the street appeared uninhabitable due to closure of the main entrance and construction equipment inside and outside of the entrance. A person appearing to be a maintenance worker was drilling on the outside of the building near the entrance the whole time I sat in the lot before leaving to go elsewhere. The location didn’t seem safe and I didn’t feel comfortable staying at this establishment.
