Our recently renovated room was excellent. Housekeeping was great. Loved the rooftop dipping pool, bar and lounge. 360 degree views of Athen including the acropolis! Cute little balcony. Great breakfast…and all very affordable and good value for the money. The location was somewhat sketchy…graffiti everywhere, garbage in the streets, but we stuck to the main streets and didn’t go out after dark.

Hotel was under construction and we were not told beforehand. Drilling started at 8-9 in the morning and the noise was unbearable. It was impossible to sleep or have any rest. Rooftop bar was closed which also is not stated anywhere when booking. Had we known about this we would never have booked this hotel.

Rooftop pool and bar was comfortable and gave great views of the Acropolis, especially at night when it was lit up. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived before check in time and provided luggage storage to allow us to explore the area around the hotel. Great buffet breakfast provided each morning.

The sink was clogged they should fixed it first before allowing guests to occupy. The moment we enter the room I saw the floor was dirty. We don’t have anymore chance to complain and move to other room because we are leaving early morning.

This is a very good Hotel to stay. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Everything was clean. The location has a few restaurants near by. There are many convenient stores and coffee shops around.

This building is not sound proof and one can hear noises from outside, near by balconies upper floors etc. It also has a very strong embedded smoke smell in the rooms. It’s awful!

Hotel is definitely average, kind of old, small things not maintained. Room 603 has a view of the Acropolis but there are antennas in the way. The shower head is at waist level. The door lock is questionable. The room is small given it’s a “premium” room. Breakfast is good. The large balcony was really nice. The shower had hot water. The AC worked well. I wouldn’t stay again as it was a 30 minute walk into the downtown.

Metrostation Larissa op 5 minuten loopafstand. Hotel is 20-25 minuten loopafstand van het centrum. Omgeving van hotel niet echt uitnodigend om rondje te wandelen. Goed hotel voor een stedentrip. Heeft ook een rooftopbar en zwembad met uitzicht op het akropolis. Kamer is wat niet geheel geluidsdicht (hoort verkeer van buiten en andere hotelgasten op de gang of de kamer ernaast) en is wat verouderd maar is wel schoon en netjes. Personeel is aardig. Ontbijt is simpel. Kan ook kiezen om in het centrum te ontbijten voordat je je excursie gaat doen. Ik was zeer tevreden.

Ένα πολύ άνετο Ξενοδοχειο πόλεως με μεγάλα δωμάτια καλό και γρήγορο Ίντερνετ αλλά ενώ κάνουν εργασίες στο Ξενοδοχειο σε κάποια δωμάτια δεν ενημερώνουν τον επισκέπτη ότι από τις 8 το πρωί υπάρχουν κομπρεσέρ κλπ ένα εργοτάξιο σε κάποιον όροφο με αποτέλεσμα δυστυχώς δυο πρωινά να ξυπνάω από πολύ νωρίς το πρωί.

Lovley spacious clean room with a fantastic bathroom and the best shower ever. Plenty of room for my friend and I and as ladies, we appreciated the mirrors in all the places we needed them with excellent overhead lighting for doing make up etc! The location is fine, not the most salubrious but we always felt safe and the head reception chap, Giorgio, was absolutely lovely. Just a shame I emailed the hotel twice to ask if there was definitely a kettle in the room and they didn’t respond. So I took my travel kettle and it wasn’t needed. It’s just off a busy main road so quite noisy but the balcony door closed meant we still had a good night sleep.

We booked three days here to explore Athens after a 7 day boat trip around the Saronic Islands. The standard of the hotel was very good and the staff pleasant. The rooftop pool is really just a plunge pool, so you cannot really swim in it and the location is close to the less salubrious part of town, so walking in the wrong direction took us into some dodgy areas. However go to the nicer parts of Athens and it is an excellent city to explore and wine and dine in. The rooms were very clean with air-conditioning and the beds large and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent with good rainshower heads. The selection of TV channels was a little disappointing with really only CNN as an English speaking channel. We enjoyed the happy hour for cocktails on the rooftop bar which has stunning views of the city and the Acropolis being one of the highest buildings around. All in all a fitting end to a luxurious holiday.

The first night in room 517 was amazing - lights everywhere, walk in shower. 2nd night and a change of rooms to 211. This room has no lights except for the bathroom, the bathroom door is incredibly hard to slide open & shut, and the street noise is rather loud. I cannot fathom the difference between the 2 rooms in this hotel. No lights is a new one for me.

Vi havde betalt for udsigt til Akropolis men vi kunne ikke se det overhovedet. Personalet i receptionen var ikke særlig venlige da vi bad og at få bestilt en taxi, de sagde at vi da bare kunne gå…. Vi fandt en herlig lokal restaurant med rigtig god græsk mad

Very reasonable rate. Reception on arrival was friendly and very helpful. Location excellent near two Metro stations. Cherry on the top - roof top swimming pool, restaurant and stunning view of Acropolis by night. Overall great value for money and positive experience.

The front desk clerk has an abrasive demeanor but quickly provided me with the room. Beds were very hard not comfortable at all. I was on the phone TALKING and the walls are so thin the guest in the next room started banging on the wall. The price was good and the view From roof beautiful. 1 1/2 star. Q1

Der var ikke ligefrem tale en 4-stjernet oplevelse men personalet var super venlige, smilende og imødekommende. Specielt receptionisten George og den yngre sikkerhedsvagt mødte os altid med smil og venlighed. George var meget behjælpelig med seværdigheder samt gode spisesteder. Morgenmaden, ja, det var en oplevelse for sig selv. Croissanterne var friske og sansynligvis fra dagen før. De blødkogte æg var overkogt og kaffemaskinen kunne ikke brygge kaffe.. det blev morgenmad på en nærliggende cafe i stedet ALLE dage.

We had a pleasant stay at the Candia Hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel is showing a bit of age but this was not a problem, our room was somewhat basic but had everything we needed. The rooftop area is great - great view of the Acropolis, the pool is very refreshing, and the bar and food are decent and very convenient. There is also a pedestrianised street a few blocks away with several decent food options like pizza, Greek food and gyros. There are also minimarts around and a supermarket about 5 minutes walk. However the back streets around the hotel have a quite edgy feel so we avoided after dark and used normal street smarts but at the same time had no problem at all and saw nothing untoward. The hotel is 3 - 5 metro stops from the main tourist area.

Hotel is definitely average, kind of old, small things not maintained. Room 603 has a view of the Acropolis but there are antennas in the way. The shower head is at waist level. The door lock is questionable. The room is small given it’s a “premium” room. Breakfast is good. The large balcony was really nice. The shower had hot water. The AC worked well. I wouldn’t stay again as it was a 30 minute walk into the downtown.

A wonderful hotel 3 minutes from two different subway stations. They were in the middle of renovation whe we stayed (January) but the restaurant, bar, and pool were all top notch. The staff were amazing and very well informed about the sights around Athens. I feel like we got our own customised tour guide! Our rooms had a view of the Acropolis, and the rooftop patio had an even better one! Definitely a gem and a bargin!

Metrostation Larissa op 5 minuten loopafstand. Hotel is 20-25 minuten loopafstand van het centrum. Omgeving van hotel niet echt uitnodigend om rondje te wandelen. Goed hotel voor een stedentrip. We booked three days here to explore Athens after a 7 day boat trip around the Saronic Islands. The standard of the hotel was very good and the staff pleasant. The rooftop pool is really just a plunge pool, so you cannot really swim in it and the location is close to the less salubrious part of town, so walking in the wrong direction took us into some dodgy areas. However go to the nicer parts of Athens and it is an excellent city to explore and wine and dine in. The rooms were very clean with air-conditioning and the beds large and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent with good rainshower heads. The selection of TV channels was a little disappointing with really only CNN as an English speaking channel. We enjoyed the happy hour for cocktails on the rooftop bar which has stunning views of the city and the Acropolis being one of the highest buildings around. All in all a fitting end to a luxurious holiday.

Our recently renovated room was excellent. Housekeeping was great. Loved the rooftop dipping pool, bar and lounge. 360 degree views of Athen including the acropolis! Cute little balcony. Great breakfast…and all very affordable and good value for the money. The location was somewhat sketchy…graffiti everywhere, garbage in the streets, but we stuck to the main streets and didn’t go out after dark.

We loved the rooftop restaurant/bar in swimming pool. It was so refreshing after a day of sightseeing in Athens in the heat. Also nice that you could get dinner at the snack bar or the restaurant. Really nice Buffet breakfast and a good location for the price.

Great hotel, amazing rooftop pool with an amazing views. The buffet breakfast was perfect, lots of choice and very tasty, likewise the pool bar. Room was clean and serviced daily. The area isn't great but location is good, being very close to to the tube, a cheap taxi into town or a short walk to the start of the hop on hop off bus. We didn't have any concerns walking around the area.

Helt ok hotell med bra rum och godkänd frukost. Vi hade balkong mot en hårt trafikerad gata. Detta stördes man dock inte av nattetid (våning 4) Takterrassen med pool och bar var fantastisk. Lite väntetid på hissarna ibland. Frukostpersonalen kunde ha haft ett trevligare bemötande. Hyfsat nära metro och Hop-on/hop-off-bussar.

We had a nice stay for one night at the Candia while we were transiting through Athens. The hotel is located a couple blocks from a metro line, so easy to get to other places in the city. The rooftop pool is very nice, though can get crowded at times. Would definitely stay here again.

We recently spent three nights here. On arrival the area didn’t seem to be the best but once we got to know the area it was fine. The hotel is great and conveniently located near the metro, supermarket and a bakery. Giorgos on reception is an absolute diamond geezer. We had a problem the 1st night with American students partying below us until 4am and the music started again at 8am. We spoke to Giorgos in the morning and he said he would sort it. Didn’t hear another sound for the rest of our stay. Handled very professionally. The rooftop bar has a stunning view of the Parthenon. We went up there every night. The barman there, whose name we didn’t get was also a top bloke. We didn’t use the rooftop pool as it was either too windy or all the students were in it. All in all we would recommend this hotel.
