Staff was great. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly daily. Spa team was on point. We booked a treatment and they gave our two kids a chocolate massage for free. The pool bar is a nice spot, very chill, good drinks, good vibes.

For a Greek hotel, it was pleasant. The staff at the rooftop restaurant was excellent. The swimming pool water was too cold for me and my daughter, so we didn’t get to enjoy that. It was too cold for the time of year. We were there in October. All in all, my stay was pleasant. I was there for 6 days.

I arrived tired, not in a great mood and a day late the airline cancelled flight . The staff went above and beyond making the now one night stay a memorable one . We enjoyed the pool and the lovely room they soundly gave us . Communication with the transport company was also wonderful and fully cooperative with our changes . Extra special shoutout to front desk staff for their kindness and generosity.

Great property.. lil away from the city center but within mins away .. breakfast buffet has a great spread with fresh honey a legit honeycomb .. rooftop pool and bar and restaurant is wonderful with amazing view of the city and view of Acropolis .

Lovely hotel. Rooms were compact but clean, quiet and comfortable. Rooftop pool is a huge bonus with great views. Staff were all great. Breakfast was decent but not fantastic. However, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful hotel and views from the roof top! Went to this hotel with my family of 4 and had a very spacious room! Rooms were nice and clean! Service was top notch! Our package included breakfast which was delicious! The gym was the best I have seen in Greece! The pool on the roof was breathtaking and the night bar on the rooftop with views of the city light up were beautiful! Front desk also accommodated us with a late check out! Very enjoyable stay!

The hotel manager keeps insisting this is a 5 star hotel but our room had huge cockroaches and a plumbing flood. It took over an hour and multiple phone calls to even respond to the flood, making us lose our dinner reservations. Hotel is not in a convenient location. You need a taxi everywhere. Hotel staff also not accommodating or helpful in locating laundry service. They wanted to charge us outrageous prices to launder our children’s clothes but would not help find a reasonable alternatives short of costing a few thousand dollars to do basic laundry.

Disappointed overall after paying so much for two rooms. My daughter had a put up bed in the triple room with no mattress just cushions it was very uncomfortable and she couldn't sleep the first night. They sorted a mattress for her the second night which was much more comfortable. When our room was cleaned on second day our towels were taken and were not replaced so didn't have towels after showering. I phoned guest services twice and they never came. The hotel was fully booked and therefore had to wait a very long time for lifts and also no sun loungers available. Suggest during peak times more staff are hired to respond quickly to calls for more towels etc and to take more care when cleaning rooms. On a positive note it is an ideal location and check in was very efficient. The complimentary wine and water in rooms was much appreciated. We didn't eat or drink there as over priced.

My family had a great stay at Divani Caravel. The room was big enough for my family of four. The extra beds were not too comfortable but the kids were able to sleep. Bathroom was clean, the shower drain was draining very slowly, and was not addressed. The breakfast was excellent, many options and the gluten free items were delicious. The only thing I may say is that the service for the breakfast could be better as we had to track down a waiter each morning to have our coffee cups filled. Small nuisance, nothing big for us. It’s about 15-20minute walk to the parliament and where everything happens, Plaka and Montrasaki square.

The hotel was dated - the beds were uncomfortable and felt like they hadn't been updated in a long time. The pool area wasn't very nice to enjoy a swim and the ladder into the pool was broken when we were there. Overall the hotel would be much better suited to someone on a business trip than anyone going for a vacation in athens.

First off: the beds are hard as rocks. We stayed here twice (total of 4 diff rooms as we were a group of 4) and all beds were the same. The staff was friendly. Food options were hotel pricey, but good. A/C did not work in one of our rooms and it was scorching hot. Housekeeping did not come by until 5pm, and we had an early flight the next day so we didn’t have our room cleaned.

Athens and Greece were fantastic! We stayed for 10 days. Our two night stay at Divani Caravel was rotten. The front desk folks were rude, repeatedly, over several days. Last morning there we were called in 10 minute increments beginning one hour before checkout REMINDING us that checkout was in an hour. The hotel is definitely not a 5 star accommodation. We stayed at two other 5 star spots that were, One in Athens. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The premises, rooms, stafff, restaurant were less than expected.

Reception staff not very helpful. We arrived at 2.45 and they told us that we can not have room till exactly 3 pm. They gave us a room but did not update on system, so when went for breakfast next day we had to wait as the system did not recognise the breakfast is booked. With hotel.com the hotel was booked for us to pay at the hotel on arrival but the hotel took payment 3 days before.

Wonderful property and a even better staff. The hotel is located at 10min in taxi from the city center. The accommodation are really good, the buffet was amazing and the rooftop restaurant was a 5 star experience. The front desk staff are extraordinary, they helped us arrange transfers from the airport to the hotel and to pretty much everywhere from the hotel. Whatever youasked them, they will always have a solution. Will definitely book this hotel again for a future trip to Athens.

I initially was going to rate this place 4/5 by end of week but at the very beginning it was fighting for 3/5. No ironing board to iron your own clothes but you have to pay for the service... I have never heard of this, to pay for the privilege even though I wanted to iron my own clothes. No 2 gripe... Don't put in your directory about shuttle between the hotel and the city centre when you terminated that service.. I went to reception first day to enquire on times of this "shuttle". Guy in reception bluntly said they offer no more of this service... Again for a 5* place, I'd expect a better response and least of all, updated directory's. Service for room was in fact top notch and clean towels and room each time you put in request. Breakfast did the job, but I would not say the foods were great. Pastries were top notch, not the mains though. Now, why with all that it holds a 3*... At the end of my stay, I wanted to store my luggage as late flight, they directed me to put it in a room upstairs, that's fine. I return and collect my bags, 2 people chatting away outside the floor M and I open the door with no bags in it. The guy then shouts "what are you doing?", after explaining that I left the luggage upstairs he then directed me to go back downstairs as the bags got all moved. Again, this lack of communication of process or procedure leads me to think this hotel brands itself as 5* but operates like a 3* hotel with a bad attitude.

Concierge lady was the best. She gave us the best restaurant recommendations and was so helpful about tours, shopping and arranging our car service. We had to leave very early to catch a flight and she arranged a boxed breakfast for each family member to take with us.

We stayed here with our two kids during our vacation to Greece. We enjoyed our stay, they gave us two adjoining rooms which was perfect. The room was very clean and walkable to the main part of the city and restaurants. The breakfast spread was excellent and we looked forward to it each day. The staff was able to book a tour for us on short notice and we felt like VIPs during our stay. Would recommend!

This is a lovely hotel and we have stayed there previously. It is not within easy walking distance of the main sights but it’s a nice area and not too far so it’s a cheap taxi ride to the plaka. (You can definitely walk there but not in the summer heat.) There are nice dining options in the area and it’s in a fairly quiet area for Athens.

This hotel is very nice. We found it very easy to get to the Plaka by cab. It cost about 5 euros. We took the metro to this hotel from the airport and then to Piraeus port. It was about a 10-12 minute walk. The room was so spacious and clean and the rooftop pool and bar are amazing. We would definitely recommend.

Divani Caravel is very well-located for all the tourism sites of central Athens but in a quiet neighborhood. The hotel is great, the rooms are well-sized and the roof top pool is a nice facility. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional - they really make you feel like a welcome guest!

Great location just outside the city center, close to restaurants and stores to buy water etc. Beautiful roof top pool and great breakfast buffet. Easy access to cabs and taxis. Always a friendly face welcoming at the door. Rooms are well kept, great air conditioning. Loved our stay!

The Caravel is a first class hotel. Check in staff and porters were super helpful and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we have ever had. We had a superior room, two queen sized beds and lots of space. The bathroom was perfect with plenty of space and good quality shampoo and shower gel. There was also shoe shine & sewing kits.

This is a beautiful property. I was graciously upgraded to a suite when I arrived which was a nice surprise. However, I was sharing the room with my sister and I had asked for 2 beds and only got a double. I had them make up the sofa in the living room which was comfortable. However, I was unable to sleep due to an A/C noise that awoke me. I reported it to the desk the next morning and they were very proactive about getting it fixed. After showing them the video I took and they heard how loud it was I thought they would have compensated me somehow but they did not. They actually expected me to call the desk in the middle of the night???? Also, it was also very nice of them to leave a bottle of wine in the room but why not have it there when you check in instead of in the evening while you were away knowing you were leaving early the next morning. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful property. I didn’t have the breakfast as I had to leave very early but did eat in the all day restaurant and I would not recommend eating there. There are better places downtown a bit.

Room on the second floor, shower did not drain properly. Maintenance said that was normal, offered a room on first floor that had same issue. Staff reluctantly offered a smaller room lower quality on the fifth floor that had a working shower.
