Freundliches Personal, das bei Bedarf schnell und unkompliziert geholfen hat. Einrichtung schön und sauber, der Pool ebenfalls, wenn dieser auch scheinbar leicht in die Jahre gekommen ist. It is with some sadness I am writing this review. Over the past 30 years when traveling to Berlin we have stayed at the Kempinski Berlin now called the Bristol approximately 20 times or more. It was the only hotel we would consider. Upon arriving this year since the outbreak of Covid for a 18 day stay, there was no doorman to greet you so if you do not catch an available person inside you will have to carry your luggage up the steps into the lobby. We checked in and we had a Deluxe Room which is a new renovated room. The room was nice with a nice bathroom and living space but with absolutely no view with a wall in front of our window. We quickly noticed there was no phone. So no room service and no one to call in an emergency. Surely an oversight? There was also a brochure on the desk talking about a new “Green” program where your towels are changed as well as your room being cleaned and made up every 2-3 days. We went to the front desk and was told there is no phone? After some discussion, the hotel did provide us with a phone and provided clean towels and cleaned the room daily. The beautiful bar area is now permanently closed. There is no more concierge. I now understand why Kempinski has removed their name from this hotel. It is clear the new management team has chosen profit over guest accommodations and services. Only because of the exceptional location I can only give this hotel a generous 2 star review. We are now looking for new home in Berlin for our upcoming trips

Wir hatten eine Classic-Suite für 3 Personen gebucht. Die Suite ist geräumig (1 Schlafzimmer mit Bad und Bett, 1 weiteres Zimmer mit Schlafsofa und Wohnraum) und bietet viel Platz. Der Standort des Gotels ist sehr zentral am Kudamm gelegen aber auch nahe an der Gedächtniskirche und dem Kadewe. Das Hotel hat allerdings ein Manko: aufgrund von „Nachhaltigkeitsgründen“ wird nicht täglich geputzt und auch keine neuen Handtücher (nur auf Anfrage). Das ist momentan eine Art beliebte und versteckte Sparmaßnahme in Hotels, um Kosten zu drücken. Allerdings sollte das in einem solchen Hotel nicht passieren bzw anders optimiert werden, schließlich befindet man sich in einem Luxus-Hotel und wohnt nicht in einem 2-Sterne Gasthaus. Auch wurden die Mülleimer in den 3 Tagen unseres Aufenthalts nicht geleert obwohl das wohl täglich gemacht werden sollte, laut eigener Angabe. Ein weiteres Manko war: Beheizung nicht ausreichend, eher kalt ebenso das Badewasser lauwarm. Das sind No-Go‘s für diese Hotelklasse und bedürfen unbedingt einer Besserung. Ansonsten war das Hotel wie auch das Personal ganz gut, ebenso der Scirocco - das Restaurant wie auch Frühstücksraum in der Ecke zum Kudamm mit viel Beglasung, richtig klasse. Wir hatten dennoch einen schönen Aufenthalt für 3 Tage in Berlin am Kudamm, aber eben mit Abstrichen - was in der Hotelklasse nicht passieren darf.

Nach wie vor ein gutes Hotel. Einchecken und Auschecken verlief professionell, schnell und sehr freundlich. Die Duschgelflasche im Bad war an beiden Tagen leer. Morgens fiel auf, dass das Hotel sehr hellhörig ist. Frühstück hatte ich keines gebucht.

The bathroom smelled SO AWFUL - like deep water damage or mold or something worse - and I permeated into our room. I alerted the front desk and they sent someone to “clean it”. It smelled a bit better for a few hours, but then was tight back to the rancid/sour/disgusting smell. Everything else was lovely. The location. The staff. All nice. But I wish they’d have moved us rooms- or never put us in there to begin with.

I have been coming to this property for 20 years. It is going through a major renovation, and the rooms seem more cohesive throughout the property. They have all the standards, but recently added a nespresso machine to each room which is great. Gone are the mini bars, but the refrigerator stayed which is great for having your own snacks and drinks. It will be interesting to see how they complete the common areas. It’s in such a great location!

Dejligt centralt hotel i hjertet af det gamle Vestberlin. Tæt på alt og nem adgang til offentlig transport. Flot bygning og lækre værelser. Vinduerne var lydisolerede så der var ingen støj fra Kurfürstendamm. Dog larmede aircondition i værelset temmeligt meget.

Hotel is well located and staff were very friendly. Room was clean and functional, although the air conditioning was not working properly. When reported to the reception they advised this was a known problem, so it was disappointing we were not put in a different room at check in. With the windows open the room was cool enough but a little noisy. Otherwise very happy and represented good value for money.

Staff were so rude. Right from check in, no hello or greeting of any kind. I asked to check in early if possible and she said yes. Gave me my room key, I went all the way up to find out it was a twin room instead of a king which I had booked. She should have let me know at reception that she was going to change it as I would have politely declined and waited until check in. She offered no apology, only a deadpan ‘ok’. So I told the receptionist that I wanted the room that I ordered and would come back at the check in time. I came back later, at check in time, to be met by another receptionist (Julian) who was also devoid of any customer service. Again, no hello, no greeting. Just a sour expression, he tried to check me in and said I already had checked in, the colleague from earlier walked over and they started conversing in German. After a few minutes of them staring at the computer I asked ‘is there a problem?’. No response. I then repeated ‘is there a problem?’ And the female answered ‘no’ without looking up. Then called the manager over who also didn’t acknowledge my presence, barked some orders in German and retreated back to her office. Absolutely shambolic. Would never stay here again and wouldn’t advise anyone stay here either. The staff have zero customer service training or initiative. Trying to communicate with them is like pulling teeth!

ツォー駅(Zoologischer Garten)から歩いて5分くらいの便利な場所にあります。ポツダム方面にも行けますし、100番のバスにもすぐ乗れるので観光の拠点としてはいい場所だと思います。近くにはレストランも多数で、食事場所にいい意味で悩んでしまいました。部屋もキレイで高級感ありました。スリッパとバスローブも用意してありました。エアコンと冷蔵庫もありましたので、夏の暑い日でも快適に過ごせそうです。設備は高級ホテルのようでした。ただし、バスジェルしかないので、シャンプーとコンディショナーは持参必要です。(私は海外では常備してます) 朝食はパンの種類が多く、どれもおいしかったです。他のメニューはよくあるコンチネンタルイングリッシュブレックファーストみたいな感じで、十分だと思います。市内中心部のホテルよりもかなり安く泊まれることを考えると、コスパはかなりいいと思います。ベルリンにきた時はまた泊まろうと思います。

We booked 2 rooms, mine was fine and as described but my colleage was given 2 single beds rather than a king. He also had issues with his TV with hardly any channels working, my TV was better but there were hardly any English language channels available. The breakfast was expensive and sub-standard for the price. The staff were great.

Das Zimmer war sehr warm ,obwohl die Heizkörper auf 0 standen, die Lüftung sehr laut und keine Abkühlung gebracht . Fenster konnte man zwar öffnen aber sehr laut von der Straße. Zwei Nächte kaum geschlafen,. Frühstück teuer und viele lauwarme Speisen ( Eierspeisen) wurde nicht gleich angeboten, dass man weitere Eierspeisen bestellen konnte .Für ein großes Croissant Aufpreis 6.00 EUR wurde berechnet.

Preis-Leistung stimmte überhaupt nicht was z.B. die Lage des Hotelzimmers, Frühstücksangebot und -service und schallisoliertes Zimmer anging. Die Lage des Hotels selbst ist zu empfehlen, nah am Theater des Westens, zahlreiche Restaurants und Shoppingmöglichkeiten. Das Foyer ist wunderschön, um so erschreckend war der Ausblick vom Zimmer selbst auf einen Hinterhof. Wir hatten "Deluxe" gebucht. Auch wenn darauf hingewiesen worden ist, sollte doch regelmäßiger Staub gewischt werden. Taschentuchbox und Handseifenspender waren fast leer, zumindest wurde die TTBox am 2. Tag aufgefüllt. Das Zimmer im Gesamten wirkte mit der abgeplatzten Farbe am Wandschrank und dem grauen Teppich verwohnt. Positiv ist aufgefallen, dass Seiflappen vorhanden und an der Steckdose USB-Anschluss und Typ C-Anschluss eingebaut waren. Die viel zu schwergängige Tür ließ jedes Geräusch der anderen Gäste ins Zimmer (Geschrei des Babys im Nachbarzimmer, die Gäste, die morgens um 5.30 Uhr noch Party machten) und knallte immer lautstark zu. Die Situation im Frühstücksraum war eine Vollkatastrophe. Viel zu wenig Tische, viel zu wenig Personal, was einem leidtun konnte. Sie kamen weder mit dem Abräumen der Tische, noch Auffüllen von leeren Gläsern nach. Der Kaffeeautomat war am 1. Frühstückstag nicht mit Hafermilch aufgefüllt, obwohl es eine Wahlmöglichkeit gab. Die angebotenen warmen Speisen geschmacklich fraglich. Auf das Frühstück sollte man als Gast in diesem Hotel lieber verzichten.
