Was Gäste sagen

We have stayed at this hotel many times before and always found it really good however this time felt a little different - even though the hotel is still grand and impressive its really starting to show its age. We arrived really early so couldn't check in so we used the ground floor toilets to freshen up before going out to look around until check in time. The ladies toilets were in a bit of a state and 2 out of the 3 toilets I tried were unflushed and dirty, when I told my husband about the state of the loos he told me that the cubicle he went into the the gents had faeces on the wall! Very unusual for this hotel but a toilet check wouldn't have gone a miss. The room we were allocated could have done with an uplift (even just a bit of decorators caulk and paint would have done) the window frames were quite rotten and were really dirty as were the nets at the window and there was a crack in the ceiling above the window too. We had no hot water or even a warm towel rail for showers in the morning despite running the hot tap for ages but it still didn't come through - There were caution signs about hot water and hot towel rail so I am assuming there was an issue here. There was also a fire evacuation at 1am (don't know the reason why) but it really disturbed our sleep and we had a good hour or so where all we heard were doors banging and people moving around. Not all bad though the breakfast was lovely as usual.

Wonderful hotel with real history and elegance. Staff were friendly, welcoming, extremely helpful and professional. Also one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had in years. When we return to Blackpool we will only stay at The Imperial.

Aufenthalt für eine Nacht

I like this kind of hotel. Every corner is rich with history. You can almost picture the great and the good going about their business here when Blackpool was an upcoming destination. That glory is now faded, mainly because Blackpool is a dump, but the hotel retains a certain elegance. It was clean, the staff were friendly, the room was spacious. Not sure what else I could have asked for. Will stay again.
