There’re were renovations going on in the pool area so it was very loud during the day and the pool area was less than appealing. In the evening they had very loud music in the lobby until late and since all rooms gave the lobby it was very loud. They told me I got a room upgrade with a balcony but it was directly facing the pool construction site so it was very loud and you could use the balcony. There were no USB chargers in the room and nighttime reception staff were incredibly unhelpful finding a suitable adaptor to charge any electronics during my layover.

This hotel is conveniently located just a short drive from the airport, which makes it ideal for travelers with a car. However, it's not easily accessible by public transportation, so keep that in mind if you're relying on transit. Parking was hassle-free, with plenty of available spots throughout our stay — a definite plus. The hotel offers both older and renovated rooms. Initially, we were placed in one of the older rooms, which felt quite dark and had a few maintenance issues. After requesting a change, we were moved to a renovated room, which was a big improvement — modern, bright, and much more comfortable. The staff were generally friendly and accommodating. That said, there were a couple of interactions that didn’t quite meet expectations in terms of service. Overall, it’s a decent stay if you get one of the updated rooms and have your own transportation.

Back in the 1980's all large scale hotels in the Gulf were built to a formula and the Movenpick is no exception. Huge atrium with feature coffee lounge - tick. Multiple restaurants and bars (one usually an English or Irish pub) - tick. Pool, wellness etc. all included. This 40-year old staple of Dubai is well situated if, like me, you are traveling alone and want the facilities of the Dubai village next door (female friendly, multiple restaurant choices, fine to go there alone to eat). Walking to Dubai airport T1 is surprisingly simple as well. The hotel feels a little dated (despite an apparent 2024 refresh) but it's friendly, comfortable and reliable. I'll certainly stay again when seeking a property in this price bracket.

Première des choses j’ai payé pour une chambre simple et une trois personne ,ils m’ont donné deux chambre simples , ma fille avait mis une couverture a terre pour dormir parce que on était trois et il avait juste un lit pour deux . Pour la navette , j’avais demandé une navette pour aller à l’aéroport et ils m’ont dit qu’ils ont pas et qu’il faut prendre un taxi alors chaqu’un de nous a pris un taxi parce que on avait différents vols . Conclusion , pas de navette et j’ai payer une chambre plus cher mais on a reçu deux chambres pour deux . Pour le petit déjeuner , vu que ils ont donné deux chambres simples juste deux personnes des deux chambres ont le droit au petit déjeuner le reste ils ont payer 60 AED

Handy for the airport however Hotel could do with a freshen up the room(suite) I stayed in was tired and dated, didn't look clean and although a non-smoking room apparently, it smelt of cigarettes. The sink and bidet waste were partially blocked. View out the window was a rooftop full of HVAC equipment. I wouldn't stay again.

One of the worst experiences with Moevenpick chain. The property should not have even qualified for the brand. Dirty carpet, smokey stench, stained bathroom floor, broken basin and 3 items on room service menu are few of the unthinkables that you would be welcomed with. Never again going to stay at this property!

Stayed here as an overnighter before a 7.30 am flight home. It is about 5 minutes from the airport. The public spaces are very impressive. The pool area is a bit soulless, but the pool is fine. We ate at the Thai restaurant which was OK but nothing special. Starters and mains were brought out at the same time. Our room looked pretty dated and a bit shabby, but everything worked. Decent option for a stop over but somewhere I'd like to stay in other circumstances.

Could not express my gratitude enough to all the friendly staff at the hotel. Great level of cleanliness, good size room, great beds, the only small criticism was that walls are thin and soundproofing could be better. Special thanks goes to all the housekeeping staff that msintained high standard of cleanliness, Stella at reception, Ashvek at Howdy's, Anna the chef at Howdy's (great tomahawks), Vijay at Seafood buffet, all who always served and greeted us with smiles. Great friendly service, great food and overall satisfied with our stay

We checked in for one night as we were flying out at 4am in the morning and rhis was close to the airport. They put us in a room onnthe 4th floor which had the hotels main AC unit and it was so loud we couldn't sleep. Eventually we got a room change but it was to late as we had to check out for our flight.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience during our stopover in Dubai. The hotel was beautiful with friendly and attentive staff who provided top notch service. It was close to both the airport and some very good restaurants. Our room was clean, modern, and spacious. I'd absolutely stay here again.

The hotel staff are the best thing about the property - they simply cannot do enough to service your needs. We stayed here for a week due to its proximity to the airport and other areas we needed to attend to. The rooms around the central atrium are sufficient but VERY dated. They are dark, old fashioned and the colour scheme and decor needs an urgent revamp. The outer wings have the deluxe rooms and frankly, feel like a whole new hotel. Modern, well lit, spacious and feel like a downtown hotel. However the beds in BOTH rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast is basic but sufficient. There are free shuttle buses to the nearby malls and are a useful addition if you don't mind sticking to their time table. The pool area is well manned and never too busy. The shisha area outside is fantastic with a large LED screen for sporting events. There are other restaurants there but we didn't try Howdy's or the Japanese place. Big shout out to Hasan and the concierge teams for being super heros in the 55C heat and keeping us cool, informed and safe.

I traveled with my two kids from Canada and stayed at your hotel for 12 days. Overall, the service was good, but the front desk manager was very unprofessional. There was a booking mistake on my part for one night. On April 3rd, we returned to the hotel around 9:00 PM and noticed the room hadn't been cleaned, but we didn’t mind. We packed and went to bed, planning to leave for the airport at 4:45 AM. At 3:00 AM, the phone rang, but I didn’t answer, thinking it was one of my kids’ alarms. Moments later, a staff member entered the room unannounced, waking us up. He asked if I needed to extend the stay. I said no—we were leaving in a couple of hours. Then I received more calls, and around 5:00 AM, the front desk told me I needed to pay for an extra night. I explained it was an honest mistake and agreed to pay. However, I was surprised when someone came to the door immediately asking for AED 1,490—far more than the AED 303 I paid per night on April 1st and 2nd. After a brief disagreement, she eventually reduced the charge to AED 900 and asked if that was acceptable. I informed her that I was not satisfied with the amount, but if I had no other choice, I would proceed with the payment. She claimed to have refunded the original amount of AED 1,490; however, after three days, I have yet to receive the refund. In the meantime, I was charged AED 900. I find this situation completely unacceptable and unprofessional, and as a result, I will not be staying again.

I was woken up twice by in the middle of the night by the front desk calling and complaining about noise coming from my room. The first time, I was told my TV was too loud, but it wasn’t. I was asleep, and the TV was only on low as background noise. After I went back to sleep, I was woken up again by a call from the front desk saying my door was open and needed to be closed. I was asleep and my door was locked. I checked immediately and confirmed it was closed, but the person on the phone insisted it was still open. I then walked downstairs to speak with the front desk and on my way down I saw the security guard next to the elevator on my floor. That’s when I found out the staff had mixed up the room number and called the wrong room without double checking. They did give me a late checkout (only after me asking) which I appreciated, but the repeated interruptions significantly diminished my overall experience.

Dear [Hotel Management/Guest Relations Manager], I hope this message finds you well. I would like to bring to your attention several concerning issues I encountered during my recent stay, which I believe require immediate attention and improvement. Firstly, I observed that the staff appeared to be insufficiently trained in guest service. Their interactions lacked professionalism and care, with frequent responses such as “no sir,” “sorry sir,” or “not possible sir,” which left a negative impression. In addition, I reported an issue with the air conditioning in my room that was not resolved for two consecutive nights. The in-room refrigerator was also non-functional. Despite multiple reports, no corrective action was taken, and it seemed that guest concerns were being disregarded. I left my room 07:45 am and return 06:00 pm my room wasn’t arranged or cleaned Moreover, valet parking service was unavailable at 8:00 AM when I needed my vehicle. A security guard simply handed me the keys, and I had to walk in the heat to the underground parking area to locate my car myself. To my shock, I found an unexpected and unacceptable situation beside my vehicle (please refer to the attached photo). This experience was deeply disappointing and not in line with the standards I expected. I trust you will take this feedback seriously and implement the necessary training and service improvements to ensure future guests do not face similar challenges. Unbelievable !!!

The hotel offered an online check in which I thought would make the entire check in experience seamless. Wrong. The check in counters were chaotic and the person attending to me was immensely distracted and was more concerned with helping out his colleague with a demanding customer, so much so that I was never given any instruction on where to get the breakfast I paid for with my stay, no instructions on wifi, and he almost forgot to give me back my husband’s id - and claimed he already gave it back to me. That was the icing on the cake - actually blaming your customer for something that was your fault. This experience soured our entire stay and we will not go back to this place nor recommend it.

First time I have visited Dubai and I can honestly say I really enjoyed the experience. Everything moves extremely fast over there and this hotel is perfectly positioned by the metro and the airport, so getting around without the need for a taxi/driver is extremely easy and convenient.

空港から徒歩12分とあったのでここに決めましたが、実際は徒歩で行ける道がなくタクシーで行かないと行けないです。タクシーでは5分と近いですが、選んだ理由に当てはまらないのでこのホテルでなくて良かったです。近くにスーパーもなく観光市内からも遠いので、不便です。ホテル内は豪華で綺麗なので、豪華なホテルに泊まりたいなら有りです。ドバイは車かメトロで移動しなければいけないので、自分が見たい観光地に近い場所でホテルを探すかスーパー近くのホテルに泊まるのが良いと思いました。ホテル内に小さなスーパーでも作って欲しいです。後は5つ星ホテルなので、英語が不自由な人に自ら寄り添った対応をしてくれると良いのになと思いました。ホテル自体は良いホテルだと思います。朝食のビュッフェも美味しくてつい食べ過ぎてしまいました笑ここまで周辺のアクセスについて辛口になりましたが、ドバイらしく贅沢な気分を味わえたので、感謝してます。ありがとうございました。

Had a great stay at Mövenpick al Bustan. A few problems while checking in as the new lady at the front was about to charge me extra as she provided me with someone else’s room, so make sure to check your name before signing. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the housekeeping team are AMAZING! Huge lobby so there is always somewhere to sit and chat. We had purchased the breakfast package and there were tons of options of food. The male at the egg station, is terrible! He doesn’t want to make fresh eggs for the customers and instead pushes them to the already pre-made egg options. When I told him “no salt” on my eggs he adds salt infront of me, extremely unprofessional, rude and disrespectful towards customers health concerns.

The food was excellent every day. The desk staff was so helpful, from getting cars to taking us the several days of sights, to offering advise and savings on local purchases. I was trilled with the choices of TV from DW and BBC and CNN. Thank you for that. That alone is worth coming back to your hotel. I have been at very nice hotels around the world, but if I cannot get DW and BBC, I do not return to that hotel. The lobby, restaurants, and common areas were spotless. (my experience was great and I will come back on my next trip to Dubai, but the carpet is room 407 is old and not nice). Also location was good for airport and other sights to see.
