The best part about the hotel is the location as it’s right next to the Waverley train station. Our view out the window was also great; we could see the Nelson monument as well as the neo-classical half finished Parthenon type structure. The hotel room itself was a bit weird. The bed was jammed against the wall so there was really only one side you could get in on. The TV was set up for casting but I couldn’t get it to work and I’m in tech. Perhaps something wrong with our specific TV which was not connected to the internet. The worst part of the room was the bathroom. For some reason we got a disabled bathroom which made showering feel like prison experience. Last thing was our 3 day booking came with a welcome bottle of sparkling wine. We never got it so after a day thinking about it I finally had to chase it down at reception. Sure enough, it was part of the booking and the staff brought it up to our room with glasses which was great, but I’d rather have gotten it when we checked in.
