The hotel is very old and tired. There is no restaurant service other than breakfast, and there is really no bar service. Breakfast was included with the room, but the women that work the breakfast service clearly don’t like their jobs. They are very rude. The room was comfortable, but nothing more.

We got there early and lucky enough to have a parking spot (there is about 8) and room was ready. Room was clean and spacious with view on the street. Easy access to everything. Breakfast was really good as well. We almost stayed for an extra night but ran out of time.

Positives were location and breakfast - both excellent. Should have more clearly noted there is no air conditioning so rooms were warm in early May and had to keep windows open at night which was noisy. Also - parking shown and free should be noted as limited parking free and if that is full you need to use metered parking across street.

This hotel was awful! Not at all like the photos. The floor was dirty, bed was very uncomfortable, the “sheet” was like burlap & towels were rough and smelling like fish. No AC, the bar was closed the entire time we were there. We asked to checkout a day early and it was not honored. They give you two fans for the room but you have to unplug lamps to use them. Also you have to climb out the window to enjoy the balcony. The room controls were very confusing!

Stayed six nights, perfect location in interlaken for multiple day trips. The room was clean and comfortable, nice view of the mountains and paragliders landing in a near by field. I would also like to memtion the breakfast. Great variety of food and coffee's. The service is the real star, very attentive, friendly and detailed. 5 minute walk to train station.

Fantastic experience! Our room was spacious, clean, and had two balconies with beautiful, large windows that offered amazing views. The staff were always kind & helpful. Breakfast was the highlight with many delicious options. The surrounding area was peaceful and very safe. Was also only a 10-minute pleasant walk from the train station. Would highly, highly recommend Hotel Du Nord!

My room didn\'t have shampoo & shower gel dispenser. When I went to reception, the first answer I got was sort of "take a look again". I had to go back, take a photo, and come back to show them what was going on. Once they saw it, I got no solution for that. Just two little bottles of shower gel in a not good manner. We stayed two nights, and we had no room cleaning service (we went the whole day outside, so there was plenty of time). The hotel stairs had cables hanging on from the roof after the third floor. I would no come back

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. We had a death in the family and tried to cancel but they wouldn’t let us. things got rearranged and we decided to come and stay so we didn’t waste money. Upon our arrival they knew it was our honeymoon. We showed up to walk into a room that felt like 100 degrees. The room was so tiny, furniture was dinged up and dirty, found 2 bugs crawling up the wall and our balcony over looked the roof covered in weeds. They then managed to charge us for another room since it was a slight upgrade. We were getting ready for dinner and on a time crunch and staff knocked on our door and had to come in because my husband took a shower and there was flooding beneath us. I will say the second room was nicer however for the price we paid per night this was frankly all unacceptable. Some compensation should have been offered. Really disappointed I took the last 2 nights of my honeymoon to stay here.

The hotel is close to Interlaken ost station, it takes 10-min walk to reach main street and restaurants. My triple room is spacious. You will hear the ringing of church bell even at midnight, but even so, my family could sleep well.

Large bedroom and nicely updated bathroom. The only downfall is the hotel has no air conditioning. There are fans and the windows do open but in the depth of summer it probably can get very warm. The staff at this hotel was amazing and so very helpful with filling all of our requests. I would book there again but only in the winter, spring or fall.

I stayed at a room with balcony, facing the open field and mountain. Everyday can see paragliders on my bed. Clean and spacious room, with free minibar. Probably one of the best hotel I ever stayed in EU area. Ask for the new wing! Very new!

We booked rooms 203 and 303, both were some of the largest in the hotel and had balconies looking over the park where paragliders rain down throughout the day. The rooms were very nice and included free beverages in the mini fridge. The only complaint, and it was a big one in my mind, was the lack of AC. We visited in early April and the daytime temperature was 65F and the rooms were hot so we were forced to sleep with the windows open and the noise of the traffic and people outside was not pleasant. They’ve clearly taken an old building and completely renovated it very nicely. Why they didn’t add AC is an unfortunate mistake.

Staff at breakfast on 1st morning was incredibly rude. Just tried to get a cup of coffee (breakfast was included) and hostess was very rude. Hotel itself was ok. Tiny rooms, shower door kept popping off. bit loud at night (windows were shut). Based on what I paid, I would not stay here again. Way over priced.

This is a great hotel! The staff are so friendly and helpful. I wish I had written down all their names. Marc was extremely knowledgeable and helped me plan my days in the Jungfrau region. I recommend this hotel as it’s within walking distance to trains, shopping, and restaurants. It is also quiet. The little refrigerator in the room came with a couple of beers, waters, and soft drinks…all free! The TV was great as it elevates out of a cabinet at the bottom of the bed. I had a balcony with a nice view. The breakfast was delicious.

This is a great hotel! The staff are so friendly and helpful. I wish I had written down all their names. Marc was extremely knowledgeable and helped me plan my days in the Jungfrau region. Excellent customer service from staff and manager . Hotel manager personally resolved issue with the wrong room accommodations . We had a comfortable nights sleep and a good breakfast in the am .

Stayed six nights, perfect location in interlaken for multiple day trips. The room was clean and comfortable, nice view of the mountains and paragliders landing in a near by field. I would also like to memtion the breakfast. Great variety of food and coffee's. The service is the real star, very attentive, friendly and detailed. 5 minute walk to train station.

Stayed only one night and checked out. There was no air conditioning and if you open the windows everyone can see in your room and the street noise was terrible. Breakfast was below par as well. I would not recommend this hotel or the area

The room is not an actual room : on the side of the property . The pictures and rooms advertised on the website are legit but the room given to us was none of their real hotel rooms. This is a false advertising and when confronted they were not helpful. Room didn’t have air conditioning either we couldn’t breath at night we couldn’t sleep and too late to leave in the middle of the night . We realized we have no choice but wait till morning to leave. Breakfast was also terrible . The buffet was minimal and ridiculous. They had signs on the walls to not take food . A room for almost $600 staying on the side walk would have been more convenient. The bathrooms had no air and smelled awful . They need to be reported and fined to put customers at danger while staying there. This hotel is in violation .

I have stayed many times over several years. It is in the Main Street. Less than 10 minutes walk to Interlaken OST station. However on this occasion I had forgotten the rooms do not have Airconditioning which I would say is an absolute must in summer. I stayed on the first weekend in September when the temperature outside was around 30C or 85F. The room was very warm and uncomfortable and it made it difficult to sleep.

Great accommodation! The only downside was the lack of air conditioning during a very hot week; the staff themselves made it clear that this isn't typical for the area. Aside from that, everything was very good. The daily attention to keeping the room tidy was excellent. The breakfast was very satisfying. Best of all was the welcoming atmosphere. The bathroom could have been brighter and a bit larger, but it served my needs well. At check-out, I was informed that the higher-category rooms on the top floor do have air conditioning. It wasn't an exceptional stay, but it was a good one.

Great choice for us. Perfect location at main street with restaurants and stores and only 10 min by foot to Interlaken Ost train station. Welcoming and friendly staff at reception and at breakfast. Breakfast buffet was great with lots of choices. We had a room with air condition which was important for us. The room was clean with a spacious bathroom, had a mini fridge, coffee machine and safe. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family and would come back by ourselves.

Das Hotel du Nord in Interlaken überrascht mit Stil zwischen Moderne und klassischem Touristenhotel. Der Rezeptionsbereich ist modern mit überraschendem Ambiente gestaltet. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet, der klassische Stil der Feriendestination ist aber ebenso erhalten geblieben. Zu bemängeln gibt es lediglich, dass bei grosser Hitze nicht alle Hotelzimmer mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet sind. Das Frühstücksbuffet und der Service waren einwandfrei.
