Mowbray Court Hotel

It was very close to tube station so great for getting around London. Room was small but good price and bags can go under the bed so this was great. We could have tea or coffe at main foyer which was nice. Loved our stay

location is perfect - close to the tube station. room looks nothing like the photos. very small and the entrance to both buildings has stairs, so you need to carry your luggage up and down. would be suitable for one night in transit, not a long term stay. would not fit more than 1 person and their bag in the room.

Stayed at this property twice during a 30 day European trip. My second room was very small and set up very awkwardly. This hotel is clean with a great location and a nice bathroom. I love that they have coffee, tea and water in the lobby. They have a lift. :)

Only stayed a night for hospital and it was a pleasant experience. Check in was great. The room was reasonably sized, the bathroom was a bit confusingly laid out but it was manageable. The hotel was clean and tidy and offered a continental breakfast and an all day coffee and tea station. If the breakfast is anything like the drinks station that I’m sure it’s more than sufficient.

I just stayed one week at the Mowbray Court Hotel, my second time, in two years. First, and foremost, the location is, in my opinion, perfect, steps from the Earls Court tube station - which has the Piccadilly Line, which connects to Heathrow Airport, and the prime central London districts. Earls Court neighborhood has an ecclectic mix of pubs, restaurants, retailers, services and shops, adding to the value of the Mowbray's location. The property itself is typical for the neighborhood of older multi-storey apartment buildings, many converted to hotels. The Mowbray staff are attentive and courteous. The hotel lobby is well furnished with comfy chairs and equipped with charging stations among the sitting areas. Free coffee/tea and cold/hot drinking water available 24/7 at the lobby is a nice touch. My room [112] was very small, with a single bed, which was basic though comfortable enough. The room was clean and functional even if very tight for space, but this is not uncommon in London's "boutique" hotel scene. My disappointment was with the bathroom, specifically the shower stall, which was uncomfortablly, almost dangerously cramped. It was the smallest hotel shower stall that I have ever seen in my many years of travelling. So, while I would recommend this hotel, based on all the other positive aspects, I would specifically avoid this room (and others like it!). Fellow travelers be warned: avoid being assigned room 112! Otherwise, this hotel is good value for London!

Excellent location! Room was was "Euro style" and therefore very small but was functional. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. My only recommendation would be to add a hook to the bathroom door and a small shelf somewhere in the bathroom. Be aware there is no power overnight if you like to turn your lights out while sleeping. This can impact the ability to charge your phone.

Pleasant hotel with 24 hour staffing in a great transport hub at Earl’s Court. Easy check in. Free beverage and water daily in my room. Also available 24/7 in reception area too. Very quick room cleaning. Room service is available although I didn’t use it. Luggage storage is possible. Staff helped me get a taxi on Christmas Day when no public transport was available. Small room but very comfortable. Excellent shower and toiletries were good quality. Breakfast was simple continental style but included eggs fruit and yoghurt as well as cheese and meat. Fruit juice water and hot drinks available. Will definitely return and recommend.

Horrendous. They didn’t even have me in the main hotel, I was in an annex building and the room didn’t have a lift to the floor they put me on. Elderly customers would be finding it massively difficult if they stay there. I felt the hotel punished me with the worst room because I booked at a discount. Even when checking in the receptionist had absolutely zero sympathy for the room, which smelled like mould and damp… the bathroom was clean and the bedding was fine but the bed itself wasn’t even attached to the wall and the size of the room was a glorified storage closet. They advertise that room for a cash grab and if I’d known in advance about any of these things I would have just booked somewhere else.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was clean. The room was small but comfortable—perfect for a short stay. One of the best perks was that they offered to hold our luggage after checkout. Our flight wasn’t until 6:30 PM, so this worked out perfectly and saved us around $15 in storage fees. The only downside was the lack of complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste. Our luggage was delayed for three days, so having to go out and buy basics after a long flight was a bit of a hassle. The location was excellent! Earl’s Court train station was just around the corner, and the neighborhood had plenty of convenience stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. Just note there aren’t any clothing stores nearby, which would’ve been helpful in our situation.

Small room in an annex building 2 doors down from hotel

We stayed in the annexe part of the hotel on the ground floor which was quite noisy on the Saturday night as it was near the lift. Room was adequate, cleanliness was immaculate.

Rooms super small. Carpet stained and looked really dirty. Reception not friendly.

We found bedbugs in our room and when we brought it to managements attention they got aggressive and REFUSED to give us a refund. We are still in the process of trying to get our money back and they haven’t responded to any of our emails. DO NOT STAY HERE

The room was perfect for solo, travel, and very clean! Plus, the AC was amazing

My daughter and I stayed at the Mowbray Court in the Annex section. The room was spotless and the air con worked brilliantly on such a hot weekend. The hotel is a 3 min walk to Earls Court and we also walked through gorgeous areas to the Royal Albert Hall and Notting Hill and felt safe. Would definitely stay again. We even got to check in early!

The room was tiny, there was no fridge, towels were poor quality, the air conditioning didn’t work, the breakfast was very average. The room was clean and well serviced, though the carpet needs a good wash. Overall a very average experience for the money. I won’t be back.

Worlds smallest room

My stay was a mixed bag. The room was clean which was good. However it was very tiny. For two people to stay in our room we could not move around freely without the other having to stay on the bed. The bed itself was horrible. It was very worn down to the point where you rolled into holes where you could feel the springs. The back pains from the sleep stayed with me during the three days we stayed there. The wifi is also in need of some improvements. It was a spotty experience.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was disappointed by several aspects. The entrance is accessible only by stairs, making it quite difficult to carry luggage. Inside, everything felt cramped—small rooms and a tiny bathroom made for an uncomfortable stay. Soundproofing was inadequate; I could hear the train passing by, children screaming from a nearby school as early as 8 AM, and maintenance workers banging away at that same hour. The noise from traffic and sirens was constant, making it hard to relax. Additionally, the phone in the room didn’t work, and the pillows were uncomfortable. There were no lamp shades or hooks in the bathroom, which felt like oversights in basic amenities. The only positive was the hotel’s proximity to the tube station, which was convenient.

The room was small, but matched that advertised but only about 50cm space at end and one side of bed. Had hanging space and a safe. Bathroom was compact, only issue was the low water pressure in the shower

The room was small, but nice and clean. However, the water pressure for the shower and sink was terrible! I suppose overall the hotel was fair for the price.

The bed was comfy albeit a little lopsided but was a good mattress, I had the double room, it was very small and if you are a larger person you are not going to fit into the shower or toilet area very well, It was OK for a 1 night stay

The single room was smaller than I thought which was fine. It was bit noisy from next room, you can hear people talking but over all, it was nice, clean and the location was great.

Small room in an annex building 2 doors down from hotel

The staff whom served me on 18 Dec around 3pm was very customer oriented. Understanding I have 2 big suitcases, he upgraded to a bigger room so that my suitcases can fit in well. Location is well connected to Tube and therefore moving within London was very easy. I took train London Heathrow to this place.

Staff very helpful and kept our luggage before check-in time and again when we were due to return to the airport.

First night, I was given room (in the annex) with non-functioning aircon. Fortunately they pass me a small stand fan. They changed my room the next day and it was all good

Do not stay here!! Me and my mother were given a room with no A/C and their resolution was to give us 2 personal fans to keep us cool. Not only were we super hot in the middle of summer, we were poorly accommodated and expected to deal with it — a staff member even laughed at us having no access to cool air.

We had constant problems with next room neighbors being loud until 10 pm or 11 pm almost every night. I went the front desk several times. It was ridiculous, especially for the amount of money I spent to stay there. Our room was in the basement- it stunk the entire time. Smelled like mold, and felt damp in there. Was terrible getting room attendants the first day- I scheduled a room clean, but it wasn’t done- and I was blamed for putting the “ do not disturb” sign on the door- so they didn’t even knock or see if we were there- AFTER I scheduled my room to be cleaned. The desk attendant wouldn’t even touch our towels when I took them to the front desk- to get clean ones. Our entire stay was not what it should have been- I spent WWWAAAYYYYY too much money for the crappy service, and the noise constantly.

The gentleman behind the reception desk was unbelievable rude not only to us but another couple trying to check in. The way he spoke to guests was completely unacceptable. He should not be in direct customer contact. This hotel is also massively overpriced for what it is. And if you offer 'luggage storage, throwing the bags into the breakfast room floor rather than in a designated 'lockable (!) luggage room - is unacceptable. I will never stay in this hotel again.

Excellent location, very clean, and exactly as advertised- single room was well organized, and well fitted out, despite the small size. This is a very affordable option in a relatively recently renovated building and only 2 mins from Earls Court tube. Appreciated the options for inexpensive breakfast and lunch in the area (Pret a Manger, M&S Simply Food)

The staff is super helpful and the location is great, many restaurants and very near the Earl’s Court tube stop.

Extremely comfortable and clean, excellent location right next to the tube station for District and Piccadilly lines. Staff were professional and efficient and amenities were great. Bathroom and bedroom spotless and up to standard. Overall an excellent stay and would highly recommend to others!

Perfect location nust steps from Earl's Court tube station (straight run to/from Heathrow). On a safe, nice street. Clean. Fridndly staff. Comfy beds. Only downside was my shower stall was tiny. But livabke--just me being picky.

We stayed one night here in a family room with our two girls. Great location, just around the corner from Earl's Court tube station. Well kept and comfortable rooms. Good selection for breakfast. We will definitely book again!
