Zedwell Hotel Piccadilly Circus

I stayed with my mother and it was perfect for us. The rooms were basic but super clean and modern. Beds were like futons so harder for a 70 year old but we both slept perfectly. The location is right in the centre of Piccadilly but it was silent. Highly recommended. We used the cafe downstairs and there’s even a gym too.

Well, size of rooms for one / When you had a shower, the water leaked everywhere / Had to change rooms because of the noise from the club on the 4th floor / very expensive food and water machines / centrally ideal for location, perfect with that!

For the price the hotel is far too much $$$$ nickel and dime you for everything from check in to an absurd 10am check out or.you can pay 75 bucks to extend to noon. Need to leave your bags with bell desk. 15 bucks per bag!!!!! Gym?! Yes very nice oh that's 15 bucks as well.

I didn't like the fact that the rooms had no television or phones. Room service was not available. The bed was too soft causing me to have a backache. The gym was 10 pounds each day to use, unheard of. There were no windows in the entire facility. If you like comfort, this is not the place for you.

Great central location. Simple for an overnight stay. It would have been good if onsite facilities were better advertised in the rooms.

I was shocked to say that they charged me £15 to sore my luggage. In the 40 years of travel I have never been charged for storage by any hotel in any part of the world. They also wanted to try and charge me £40 for an early check in @ 2pm, although the regular chicken was at 3pm. Money grab all the time, I will not be going back to them only if I am desperate

Perfect if you just need a nice place to crash overnight. Self check in is great, there's loads of rooms so it does feel a bit like a maze getting to your room so for that I'm glad I was not drinking as not sure I could have found my way to the room. Air con didn't seem to change the temp but I was able to turn it off. Carpets in the corridor probably could be in better shape but everything else is as you'd expect. No water in the rooms but there's different types of vending machines for anything you might need late.

Hotel was good. Yes minimalistic but then that was as advertised. Although the ‘extra’ charges were ridiculous ! £40 fir an ‘early’ check in (1.5 hours) then £30 to leave two bags in their left luggage room

Shower drain smelt really bad, making the room stink. This morning only cold water was available to shower in, just what you want in November at 6am morning.

It was a really disappointing experience. We were there for 3 days and no one came to clean, no large or small towels, no glass. The room was so dirty, the floors full of crumbs, the trash was not emptied, no toilet paper. The toilet was dirty and what about the shower windows. It was so disgusting. But the worst thing was that there were no windows in the room, which is completely illegal and does not comply with building standards. Paying a little more is not worth the savings. No service at check-in and check-out, and they also want to charge you to leave your luggage. Corridors are dark and dirty. Poor ventilation.

Unfortunately experienced bed bugs here. The room appeared clean at first glance but when we woke up in the morning we saw bed bugs crawling. Over the next few days tons of bites covered us. We told the hotel first thing and they took out bags to steam but we saw they were simply running a handheld steamer over it (which is not enough to treat bed bugs). They also placed our potentially infected bags next to everyone’s else’s bags in the storage room. The room we were moved to was clean and clear. But I don’t feel like the issue was taken seriously. We took our bags to be professionally cleaned which gave much more peace of mind.

The location was good. The floors in the hallway were filthy. The room itself was also quite dirty. It seems like it’s too big of a place for the amount of cleaning staff they have.

The shower room had an awful waste smell coming from the drains which smelt in the room. I also used the irons on floor 5 for a shirt in the morning before a meeting. This was frustrating that it wasn’t in my room in the first place and I had to go to ground floor to ask as there was no phone in the room and I tried 3 different numbers on the website which didn’t work. The iron were extremely poor quality and left a mark on my white shirt which I then had to go to the meeting in. All irons in the room had a sticky black matter on them which then transplanted and melt/burnt on to shirt. This has now meant I’ve ruined a perfectly good shirt too

The location was ideal right in the city centre walkable. The bedsheets need to be checked regularly as they contained fluff, water pressure was very low in the shower and hardly any hot water. The house keeping was poor- only every two days and when we asked for extra towels these were not received.

Room was spotless, staff were very helpful & courteous.

Bedbugs and rodent droppings in the two of the three rooms. Switched rooms three times because of the infestation and all had significant cleaning issues. Charges 60 pounds per bag to hold them if you get there early.

Corridors are not generally clean but the foyer & rooms are spotless and inviting.

DO NOT STAY HERE! HEAVILY INFESTED WITH BED BUGS! ZEDWELL SHOULD BE ASHAMED THIS PLACE IS A DISEASE-RIDDEN SCAM If hell had a hotel, it would look like Zedwell. Actually, hell would probably be cleaner and come with better customer service. Let’s talk about the $1,000+ they robbed from me for a second room I never booked. I confronted them, thinking it was an honest mistake. Instead, Antonio at the front desk told me, “This mistake is going to cost you a lot of money.” And the funny part was they confirmed it was their fault. No refund yet either! My bank had to give me back the money :) Then came the bed bugs, which were the cherry on top of this nightmare. YES. BED. BUGS. Crawling. On. The. Bed. I filmed it. Showed it to the staff. And what did they do? Shuffled us into another infested shoebox like it was business as usual. And don’t even get me started on the rooms. You know how they call this place “zen”? It’s zen if your idea of peace is sleeping in a windowless, soundproof coffin with a thin, stained mattress in a concrete box. No light, no air, no comfort just solitary confinement and regret. The staff? Unprofessional and cold. They don’t answer emails or call’s. They don’t help. They don’t care. I’ve had better treatment from DMV employees on a Monday morning. Zedwell is a scam, a health hazard, and a joke but no one’s laughing. I wouldn’t let a stray dog sleep here. They should be reported to health authorities and blacklisted from every booking site on earth.

Didnt realise the impact of having a room with no natural light. Quite claustrophobic, especially with the very 'non private' bathroom seperated by frosted glass sliding wall.

Good location, AC did not blow cold air and was very warm. It was a heat wave so perhaps not normal. No TV in room.

An ideal location right in center of the busy city. Ideal for a short-stay where location is paramount. The hotel has a very stripped back approach - no windows, no TV. That might not be right for a longer stay and I must admit that a kettle would have been good for a morning cip of tea, but for our purposes this was ideal.

The bed pods were really great. We could sleep well without bothering each other with lights or sounds. It's quite small, but that's what you get staying in a city. Would still recommend staying again. It's a nice central location to many places and public transport.

Location is great, but the whole place is not value for money. Check in only opens at a set time, and then it’s all digital, wanting your DOB really…. Then the rooms, is just basic but clean. No table to store things, and I had a quad bunk bed room, for a single night, and my legs/feet just kept kicking the bottom of the wooden bed waking me up. It’s dark enough to sleep, until you need a little light you light your whole bed when u find the switch. Not really value for money,

The room was minimalist, but expected that. The pillows were quite firm, wld have liked them a bit softer, the bed was comfortable. Wld have liked the bathroom light switch nearer to the bathroom, also there were no hand towels, just bath ones, also no toilet brush. Wld have liked a wider shelf behind the bed, also some hooks on the wall opposite the bed. Also, a more soundproofed bathroom.Otherwise the stay was really relaxing. Not sure I'd choose to stay for more than a couple of nights though

Hotel is 50 yds from Piccadilly Circus, great location, tube station right there, pubs all over the place. Easy walk to other areas of London. Room a little strange if compared to normal hotel rooms. This room had no closet, draws, desk or chairs. But bed was very comfortable, shower was great. So if all you want to do if have a good night's sleep at a good rate, the Zedwell Hotel is a great place

They allowed us access early. The staff were mostly very helpful though we got some confusing 8nstructions. But all worked out. Wilp stay again.

Arrived at 11pm and was told there wasn’t a room ready for 30 mins. In the end I had to walk to another hotel as they had ‘work going on’.

As the title suggests, the property cancelled my booking for failing to prepay, except I had no notification of either the need to prepay or that it had failed prior to arrival. The rather dismissive staff member reluctantly resolved the issue. Aside from this encounter, the stay was fine enough. The location is convenient. The room was clean. The price was high but not excessive, adding to the disappointment in the level of service.

Disappointing Stay Despite Great Location I recently stayed at this hotel in central London and, unfortunately, the experience did not match the price I paid (around $200 per night). The biggest issue was the check-in process. They absolutely would not allow check-in before 3 p.m., even by an hour or two, which is very unusual for a hotel in this price range. I ended up waiting over two hours with no flexibility from the staff. I also had repeated issues getting basic amenities. I requested towels three or four times and only received them after going down to the reception myself — they never delivered them to the room. For a hotel charging this rate, that level of service was very disappointing. The room itself was extremely small — much smaller than expected for the price point. Aside from the great central location, the overall value was not there. I wouldn’t stay here again unless the hotel improves its service and offers a level of comfort that matches what they charge.

No chairs, tables, couches, hair dryers, TV, or windows. Random alarms going off with no explanation. No front desk but a bunch of iPads and the occasional person who doesn’t speak English or know anything about the hotel. Mold in the bathroom- a fully transparent bathroom by the way where everyone you’re staying with can hear and see you doing your business. Garbage hotel.

Stayed in August 2025, with airline strike, we can't make it to out first nigh stay. I called and 2 hotel receptionists said they will adjust nights when we arrive. I was thankful. The we arrived and requested early check-in, I was made to pay 40gbp for it. Now my bill came and not only they charged me still 3 full nights and ALSO billed me the early check-in fee! So they charged me double. I asked for refund because how can you charge the 3 full nights and also early-check in fee, Hotel refused to refund me 40gbp and offered 20% discount on future stay. I do not need the discount. I wanted my refund. But hotel insisted they cannot do refund. As hotel manager, you do not have the authority to rectify your hotel's error charges?? Just awful. They don't even have phone lines to be reached or being answered. I was using Whatsapp. So be warned! I felt being robbed in broad daylight. It was frustrating dealing with hotel. They make a run for your money. And we were already under financial stress with the unexpected expenses due to airline strike and we have this hotel's disgusting business ethics to deal with. Terrible!

We stayed there on two separate occasions about two weeks apart. We had a terrible time checking in because the property did not recognize the booking via Expedia. During our first time checking in, we had about a half an hour delay, but we ultimately got the correct room. During our second day we had over an hour delay and we’re not able to get the room that we reserved and had to have our family split up into three different rooms.

Staff gave instructions upon arrival that we had to check ourselves in at kiosk, but to wait 30 mins. After waiting as instructed, nobody said anything so finally we asked if we could check in and they said yes and looked at us like we should have known. The same thing happened to other people. Generally just a cold feeling, it wasn't that anybody wasn't nice it was just that they didn't really seem to care. Mostly what bothered us was workers standing there that could have helped, but the process was self check in. The irony was we couldn't connect to their Wi-Fi until after check in, and to get a reservation number we needed it as our email we couldn't access. The whole thing was a huge hassle, probably took 30+ mins. Then they had to explain to us how to activate room keys. Again this is just one of those things they ended up having to do for us. The computer flashed our room number briefly so again they had to pull our information up. The whole thing was MUCH harder than it needed to be. For that reason alone we would never stay there again. Room was extremely hard to find even after 2 days, no map, no instructions. Place is just a maze and too big. Hotel layouts are pretty easy, this was a nightmare. AC couldn't be adjusted, room was extremely hot. Brought a portable travel fan, as we read this was a common problem. Thankfully we were prepared, or we never would have been able to sleep. I would not recommend this place and will never return.

Excellent location in the heart of Piccadilly. Plenty of restaurants around and easy access to the tube and buses to explore other areas of the city. Had issues the first night where we were placed in a smaller room than we paid for and music could be heard from a nearby nightclub. We complained and the staff moved us into a larger and quiet room. They also provided free luggage storage as compensation, so they were helpful once we reported the problems. There are no hair dryers in the room, so my wife had to go to the seventh floor beauty room to use the hair dryer.

Right in the center of Picadilly Circus, but within the hotel room itself it is so quiet you wouldn’t think you were in the middle of London. The bed was comfortable. It would’ve been nice to have a kettle in the room, but managed without. Bed was comfy, the room was clean.

Hotel is very central! Easily accessible to the main heart of the city. Rooms are quite large and beds comfortable. Good ability to control the heating in the room. Downside is that the shower can leak out all over the bathroom as it doesn’t have a closed off area. Maybe a better placed mirror to get ready would be good. Staff are very friendly and approachable and explain things well. Shame everything costs extra, check in slight earlier, expensive, or check out later expensive and same with leaving luggage it’s quite expensive.

Perfect location for sight seeing London & theatre land…

They didn’t clean our room. And no one clean the trash. And it’s no blow dryer in the room! And a bottle of water is £4. Be aware of they will charge everything, like storage the luggage or early check in. And check out time is earlier than normal. It’s 10 am. And they start knocking your door at 9am!!!

Great night sleep

The property is located in the heart of Piccadilly Circus. Walking distance from all main attractions and close to public transportation. The rooms are very clean and quiet and staff very friendly. They do not provide hair dryer and iron. I recommend to bring an outlet adapter to plug your electronic devices. Overall, it offers the essentials that you need to have a comfortable stay.

It is a great location just lacks a couple of things. Thee cafe does not open until 8 am and closes at 6.30 there are no facilities in the room such as TV and Tea coffee making facilities

The room was lush, we had the bunk beds in Cocoon 8 as there was 6 of us and with kids, they loved it. There was no table/chairs to sit as you don't always want to sit on the bed...and there was a wall Infront so you couldn't see the other person's on the bed...hence a seat of some sort. The luggage they charge you £15 per bag if you want to leave your luggage as you'd probably do as you've arrived earlier than check-in. We did have a big case and a little case and the gentleman gave us a deal for the both for £15 on each day. It's still a bit much though as you've paid an extra price to stay in the room, surely that could be thrown in. There's no tea/coffee in the room, but there are OVERPRICED vending machines or there's a McDonald's around the corner. To substitute the coffee they could have given the luggage free of charge. The girl on the desk wasn't helpful at all with the bags, another man did say the luggage guy gave us a deal and he was fab to be fair. It was lovely, but wouldn't stay there again 🙂
