Great place to stay. The location is fantastic. Once you get parked, you are able to walk anywhere from here. Staff are just wonderful. Always happy and willing to help you with any requests you may have. The only thing that kept me from giving a 5 star review was parking. We drive an F150 which they can not accommodate.

The staff at Hotel Sant Sulpice was amazing. Front desk, Valets, security. Everyone was great. The location is second to none. Step out of the lobby onto the original cobblestone streets of Old Montreal, and you immediately find yourself outside the unparalleled Catedral de Notre Dame. There are restaurants, boutiques and designer shops everywhere you turn. Waterfront attractions on Rue de Commune are just down the hill, including the Science Center, Ferris Wheel and more. The history and charm of Sant Sulpice more than makes up for the (onsite) lack of more modern amenities like swimming pool, spa, or a gym. I hope to return soon.

Tivemos problemas com uma luminária que fica do lado da cama. Ela ficou piscando a noite inteira e não conseguimos desligar nem tapar a luz. O hotel resolveu o problema no dia seguinte mas poderiam ter oferecido algum “mimo” como pedido de desculpas. Tivemos problemas ao estacionar o nosso carro que era grande e o valet do hotel não aceitou. Só ficamos sabendo disso ao solicitar para estacionar no momento do check in. Poderiam ter avisado isso nas observações da reserva ou antes de chegada. Outro ponto é que ao chegar no quarto havia uma mensagem com uma garrafa de vinho cortesia em função do meu status silver no hoteis.com, mas após o check out tentaram fazer a cobrança.

Lovely stay here but a bit on the pricey side for a hotel without amenities. Very close to restaurants and shopping in old town. Room was spacious with a small kitchenette. Breakfast was included which was nice (food was great).

We had high expectations for the Saint-Sulpice (my wife had stayed there a decade ago and had very fond memories), and while we had a beautiful room, certain flaws detracted from the experience. First, after a long day of travel, we wanted only to shower and get to sleep, but we discovered the shower was not draining, so rather than risk a flood or stand in soapy, dirty water, we had to ask for a staff member to attend to the problem at 8:30pm. They did so, and we were grateful, so at least they were responsive. Second, however, the room was not very clean -- fixtures smudged and greasy; cabinets in kitchenette marked with gray fingerprints; most surfaces grimy, from counters to tables to windowsills. Not what one would expect from a hotel of this caliber (and at this price). Also disappointing was the WiFi -- we tried to stream a program on our laptop, and got only the spinning wheel of death! On the upside, the staff were very nice, the breakfast was very good, and the location is wonderful. If the room, which was a 6th floor penthouse level, a spacious and light-filled apartment, had been fresh and clean, our stay would have been happily memorable. Oh, well.

The shower head is very dirty. You can see the water stains and it was just never got cleaned or wiped. The sofa bed is uncomfortable. The outside street was blocked due to construction. Tons of traffic near the area. The staff are friendly. Would not recommend.

The room/suite we booked was very spacious and had everything to make our stay enjoyable. One night, I noticed a large number of small ants eating a potato chip that fell on the floor. It appeared they were coming from under the bed, and some were crawling on the bed. We let the front desk know, and they said they would have maintenance look into it. We got back from our day, and they addressed the ants by fumigating the room. The room stunk for two days. I would have thought they would have moved us to another room.

Always a great stay! We stay at this hotel frequently. They make everything flow so smoothly, no stress with parking or luggage. The staff is amazing! They’re always friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculately clean. The location is right in the center of old Montreal, so everything is walkable. I love the nespresso in the room and they even put creamer in the fridge so I can make a coffee without leaving the room. These are simple things that make every stay relaxing and enjoyable.

Very well situated hotel. Room layout was a bit awkward. Seemed as though bed was shoved in a corner (so tight could barely plug in phone charger) to make way for cute dinette set and pull out sofa. Room was very large, with a really tiny closet. Again, awkward. Nice touches - robes, ironing board. But towels were scratchy. So highs and lows!

Please do not accept a room with a sofa bed in this hotel! Cons: Overall we did not feel welcomed in this hotel. Staff could be more friendly and welcoming as they work in a hotel. The shower head in our room was broken and kept falling on my head. The breakfast was so so; I expected better quality for this price. But the worse thing was that we paid for two beds and got one bed and a sofa bed that was very uncomfortable. I could only sleep for two hours each night and woke up with a back pain. I do not recomend this type of room to anyone. Last, you have to pay more than $51 per night for parking. Pros: convenience of the location.

Breakfast was a solid offering, staff were courteous and prompt, room was spacious and well appointed. such a great location. Hard to drive to and from the property but it is highly walkable with many, many great restaurants nearby. The entertainment system is wacky.

Very nice staff, esp at the front desk and the restaurant. The beds were very comfortable and the room is quite spacious. The only suggestions I have are more lighting (rooms are pretty dark) and more heat in the bathroom. The bathroom was very cold.

Very nice reception staff, valet staf was also very nice. Loved the room layout especially the big windows looking out on the street. A couple of issues….the deep tub would have been awesome for those who like to bathe instead of shower…but we found it difficult to get in and out of especially with no handrail. Also the bed was not particularly comfortable, although the linens were very nice

The staff and Saint Sulpice was wonderful! I received help from Sarah, the concierge, to arrange a birthday cake for my partner. She worked very hard to make this happen and have everything paid for before I arrived in Montreal. Our room was extremely nice. It was quite large and even had a kitchenette, microwave and fridge. The bedding and bed comfort were excellent. The front desk staff always greeted us and helped us with any of our questions and always with a smile. Overall it was a great experience. I travel very often and seldom have such a good experience. It truly was a 5 Star stay. I highly recommend this hotel. Also, great location in the Old Montreal which is one of the nicest places to stay in the city.

The staff at Hotel Sant Sulpice was amazing. Front desk, Valets, security. Everyone was great. The location is second to none. Step out of the lobby onto the original cobblestone streets of Old Montreal, and you immediately find yourself outside the unparalleled Catedral de Notre Dame. There are restaurants, boutiques and designer shops everywhere you turn. Waterfront attractions on Rue de Commune are just down the hill, including the Science Center, Ferris Wheel and more. The history and charm of Sant Sulpice more than makes up for the (onsite) lack of more modern amenities like swimming pool, spa, or a gym. I hope to return soon.

We stayed for two nights and I will say the hotel is very nice and our room was clean a spacious. My problem is with the front desk. The gentlemen that was working was quite rude and dismissive. We also asked our bellman if he could speak to the front desk about our room as we were looking over construction and was hoping for a better view. We never heard a word. We also were not informed that we had free breakfast with our stay and no one told us until we checked out. The hotel is in a great location, but they definitely could use some customer service training.

I made this booking for my parents. They arrived in Montreal before check in time (4pm), but inquired at the front desk if the hotel would be able to store their luggage until check in, which the hotel said was completely fine. The hotel advised that they would call my parents when their room was ready so they could come and check in. In the meantime, my parents went out to explore. However, when the hotel called them later on, it was not to let them know their room was ready... it was to advise them that the hotel had apparently accidentally sold their room, and was offering to book them into the Westin instead. My parents accepted (what else could they do?) but were left rattled by the experience. They are not frequent travellers and being put in a situation like that was difficult. The hotel did not offer any kind of refund for the mess up, and also did not offer to help my parents - who are seniors - get themselves and their luggage to the Westin. I had booked them into the St. Sulpice specifically because I've had such great experiences there in the past, and also because I wanted my parents to experience being in the heart of Old Montreal. The Westin is not the same location-wise. I also booked them under my Expedia account specifically so that my perks as a Silver member would apply - it was my mum's birthday, and this was their first real vacation as a couple in a very, very long time. They deserved better, and it's clear Expedia status does not count for much here.

Always a great stay! We stay at this hotel frequently. They make everything flow so smoothly, no stress with parking or luggage. The staff is amazing! They’re always friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculately clean. The location is right in the center of old Montreal, so everything is walkable. I love the nespresso in the room and they even put creamer in the fridge so I can make a coffee without leaving the room. These are simple things that make every stay relaxing and enjoyable.

There is a restaurant at the corner of the building called Mignon that was extremely loud until 3am and beyond. It is fine for the younger crowd who likes to party but not for those who would like to get some rest. Beautiful hotel but would not stay again due to the noise.

Nice property in old Montreal. Very quiet and close to the river, restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately there is a lot of construction so created some challenges with transportation but easy to navigate just ensure you give yourself extra time.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and generally enjoyed my visits. However, during my recent stay, I reserved a suite and was placed on the main floor facing St-Paul Street, and it was extremely noisy. The street activity and partying went on until 3 AM, which made it impossible to get proper rest. Unfortunately, this was very disappointing for a business trip.

Great clean and modern hotel. Right in the old Montreal next to the cathedral. Lots of shops and bistros around, lots of restaurants and bars. The only thing to be aware is the street noise…. We kept the windows closed but was hard to sleep at night due to the constant street noise- people who are talking loud or cars driving by or kids screaming…

The room and view was excellent. For once, better than the photos. Downside was that I cannot recommend the breakfast add on. The service is slow and the food isn’t very good. The concierge and the front desk staff are friendly though.

Hotel was lovely. Fit into the ambience of Old Montreal perfectly. Large rooms, comfortable beds and good amenities. Only Disappointment was perhaps the restaurant. Only ate at breakfast but tried to have dinner And we were only people there for our 7:00 Reservation. Breakfasts were good.

The location was exceptional: right next to Notre-Dame, right next to shopping and restaurants, 5 min walk to closest metro. The room space was exceptional and clean. Beds were comfortable. Amenities were provided. Staff was very helpful. Only thing I didn't like was that the restaurant had limited hours for dinner (only 7-9pm).

Reading light on the bed side was not working, tv were not working, we were 3 in the room and only 2 set of towels in the bathroom, we ask the front desk and that got fixed. breakfast service is terrible, seems that it could be better organize, we were 6, reserved our table as requested by the hotel, on server placing ppl and the 3 other servers (including the bartender from night before) did not seem to take order right away. We were kind of in a hurry, but service could be more efficient. Other than that, the hotel is clean, quiet, room are very nice, bathroom large and clean. Great location, friendly front desk staff

First off, the staff were AMAZING, especially the concierge and the front desk. On-site valet parking was a huge bonus, given that parking in Old Montreal seems limited. The fixtures in general were updated and stylish, but the room wasn’t particularly clean (there was some residue on the coffee table, there was visible dust in places, the caulking around the tub needed a refresh, etc.). I’m glad we didn’t need to use the kitchenette, because the cabinets were oddly set up and difficult to open and close. I don’t know if the cleanliness was just an issue with our room (if we had booked a longer stay, we might have asked the front desk about it), but the hallway carpets upstairs looked dingy, too. Considering the photos of the other Old Montreal hotels we looked at, this might be the norm for the area. The hotel’s location could not be beat, and again the staff were the absolute best. If the room had been in better condition, coming back would be a no-brainer.

We booked two penthouses. The hotel is in need of a renovation. It is also is need of a deep clean. Fruit flies boxes around the bar. The large outdoor terraces of our room needed a good clean. There was only one person to help guests at the door … which was not nearly enough. It was a good night’s sleep but not worth the cost. And I certainly would not eat there.
