Absolutely great hotel in the center of Rio across from Ipanema beach. Gorgeous roof top pool with amazing views. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Gero Restaurant may be my favourite for both food and service. Breakfast restaurant is also awesome. Top marks all round

Excelente ubicación y muy bien decorado. El lobby es demasiado pequeño, las habitaciones con vista al mar son muy lindas. El gimnasio no es muy bueno. En General faltan espacios comunes, fuera de la terraza no hay donde estar.

The best part without hesitation is the rooftop pool area. It has one of the best views in Rio de Janiero overlooking Ipanema beach Otherwise, we loved the balcony in our room which was very quiet and peaceful. The onsite restaurant offers delicious Italian food and the staff always goes above and beyond to help you. I definately plan on staying here again!

Adoramos vim ficar no fasano , pq tem uma boa estrutura de piscina no terraço. Mais bem no domingo que estava aqui teve uma festa na piscina . E deixaram os hóspedes a ver navios . Só podíamos ir na praia . Foi uma falta de respeito com o hóspede que vem ao rio para pegar um sol na piscina . Acho que deveriam rever isso . Só não tomei outras providências pq foi meu último dia . Quem tiver vindo, verifica se não vai ter algum evento . Valeu

This hotel is extremely overpriced for the surrounding area. Several elements did not feel “luxury”, including the tiny rooms, tiny elevators, low ceilings, mediocre pool service. The room itself is not big enough to lay a checked bag on the floor - anywhere. The low ceilings make the environment feel claustrophobic. The elevators are tiny and slow - only fitting 5 people max with everyone breathing down your neck. The slow service delayed getting up to the room. The hallways were almost too dark to see anything. We checked out on a Sunday and the staff were giving us a hard time about a late checkout, despite no one new checking into the room (and my elite Expedia benefits). I just didn’t feel like I was treated with the respect at any other luxury resort. Unless you are willing to upgrade to ocean view room, do not spend the money to stay here.

O nosso quarto, que dava para as traseiras do hotel, era escuro e não tinha espaço para duas pessoas se sentarem confortavelmente. A varanda não tinha sequer uma cadeira. Não há lugar para secar os fatos de banho molhados. Há muitos detalhes no quarto que tem um aspecto já gasto e datado. O café da manhã aparentemente deixou de estar incluído na tarifa e, apesar de ser bom, tem um preço abusivo. Num dos dias da nossa estadia, fecharam a piscina para uma festa para convidados não hóspedes, com barulho e confusão até tarde. Consideramos que é desagradável não ter acesso à piscina e ao bar e ter que suportar toda a confusão para conseguir subir e baixar no elevador durante várias horas. Na praia, existem apenas seis encostos e algumas cadeiras, todo o equipamento com um aspecto já muito gasto. O serviço de praia é bom mas insuficiente. O Restaurante Gero é óptimo e recomendo mas considero que o hotel já foi bem melhor.

Comida do Gero minha esposa pediu um Stinco com risoto que estava muito bom. Já um pedido de espetinho de frutos do mar uma vergonha, quatro mini camarões com tomate e vegetais quase 180 reais. Exagerado. Sabonetes e shampoos excelentes no quarto. Boa ducha. travesseiros cheirando algo que lembra enxofre, estranho. Comparando com os outros três hotéis de alto luxo do Rio, não voltaria. Loud electronic music and party’s going on room long and then early when these guests return to the hotel despite calling front desk for help on this. Then got a phone call a midnight for towels delivery I never had asked for. Did not sleep well in Sumatra any night there. Last thing, cleaning personnel left our room door open when they finished till we came back at night. Never again. Got a discount like that would give us the three night without sleeping Back.

Fasano hotel is one of my favorite! the service was exceptional, everyone was incredible polite and helpful with anything I needed. My room was very clean and decor was simple yet elegant. I will definitely return to this hotel and im so glad I chose to stay there.

Simplesmente incrível. Já fiquei algumas vezes e sempre me surpreendo com a cordialidade dos funcionários e a limpeza do quarto. Definitivamente voltarei e recomendo a todos.

Já foi bem melhor. Me hospedei diversas vezes e sem dúvida essa foi a pior. Na entrada antes perguntavam qual numero calçava para entregar no quarto um chinelo do meu tamanho. Dessa vez tive que usar o que tinha no banheiro. Um número menor, claro que machuquei meu pé. Ferro de passar roupa não tinha. Tive que solicitar na recepção. Burocrático demais. Maçãs do quarto não foram substituídas. Roupões do banheiro não trocados. Independente de custo da diária acredito que a pessoa que paga o valor de uma diária dessas merece amenidades como de quartos mais caros. Falo com propriedade pq já fiquei em quartos mais caros neste hotel. Infelizmente não tem outra explicação senão que as tarifas menores sofrem detrimento em relação às mais caras. Atendimento da piscina antes era rápido e gentil. Agora foi tão lento que tive que ir pessoalmente repetir o que havia pedido 30’ antes.

Nettes Hotel in phantastischer Lage an der Ipanema Strandpromenade. Das Hotel lebt vom großzügigen Pool auf dem Dach. Die Zimmer sind eher klein und das 60er Jahre Design ist ganz ok aber kein Burner. Das ganze zu einem Preis, der zu den teuersten in Rio gehört auf einer Ebene mit dem altehrwürdigen Copacabana Palace. Damit ist Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis eher schlecht. Man zahlt für die Lage, den großen Pool und das aus welchem Grund auch immer hippe Image und auch für die Tatsache, daß wenn man in Ipanema übernachten will, in der Tat nicht viel Alternativen hat. Wenn man sich auf Instagram darstellen will vielleicht ein MustGo , ansonsten hat man an der Copacabana sehr viele recht gute Hotelalternativen zu weit besseren Tarifen..

The elevators are tiny and slow - only fitting 5 people max with everyone breathing down your neck. The slow service delayed getting up to the room. The hallways were almost too dark to see anything. We checked out on a Sunday and the staff were giving us a hard time about a late checkout, despite no one new checking into the room (and my elite Expedia benefits). I just didn’t feel like I was treated with the respect at any other luxury resort. Unless you are willing to upgrade to ocean view room, do not spend the money to stay here.

This hotel is beautiful, private, moody and has the best views of Ipanema! The rooftop pool alone is worth the price of the hotel. Such stunning views and very comfortable. The rooms are a bit dark and moody on the courtyard side, but the real charm of the hotel is the Ipanema location and the rooftop. Luciana at the front desk was our favorite and she was so kind to us!

O café da manhã aparentemente deixou de estar incluído na tarifa e, apesar de ser bom, tem um preço abusivo. Num dos dias da nossa estadia, fecharam a piscina para uma festa para convidados não hóspedes, com barulho e confusão até tarde. Consideramos que é desagradável não ter acesso à piscina e ao bar e ter que suportar toda a confusão para conseguir subir e baixar no elevador durante várias horas. Na praia, existem apenas seis encostos e algumas cadeiras, todo o equipamento com um aspecto já muito gasto. O serviço de praia é bom mas insuficiente. O Restaurante Gero é óptimo e recomendo mas considero que o hotel já foi bem melhor.

A once in a lifetime experience at Hotel Fasano we will never ever forget! We landed in Rio after a red eye at 6 AM in the morning, and despite not being able to check in early, when we returned from our day tour, we were made aware we were granted a room upgrade. As two American honeymooners who had traveled a long way, we were so grateful. We stayed in the most incredible suite with the best view of a sunset over Ipanema beach on our balcony. The staff went above and beyond, decorating our room while we were out to dinner. Other fabulous takeaways: A prime location close to both Ipanema and Copacabana and ocean front, delicious breakfast buffet, and insane rooftop infinity pool for guests to use. You would be crazy not to stay here during your Rio visit! One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Thank you Hotel Fasano!

Fabulous stay ! After original confusion of room category, which the team handles exceptionally well (thank you !) we had the most wonderful stay. Spent most of our time poolside, great service and wonderful vibes pre carnival. Reception and concierge team always present and welcoming and warm. Breakfast was excellent in quality and service (maybe better to use the restaurant downstairs instead on the one on the first floor though as a little dark). Classic ‘old school’ white glove service in a contemporary hotel - great ! Can’t wait to return.

Poor concierge services - they do bare minimum and did not properly explain specifics. For example they recommended we leave without umbrellas to visit museum of the future on rainy day knowing full well taxis/ubers drop off is quite a distance across an open square to the museum (we got soaked). They also told us it was an “easy 15 minute walk” from museum of future to aquarium (definitely not and through a very sketchy area to boot) - fortunately we had decided to Uber at that point. Despite checking in on my birthday and mentioning it to concierge it wasn’t recognized until a small round cake was left in our room 3 days later. Hotel has no bar (was not reopened since Pandemic), staff is not proficient in English and facilities appear worn. If you are looking for quality / class I would suggest avoiding this hotel altogether and staying at Belmond Copacabana Palace.

Room was solid. Great view of ocean, hotel is in a good location. Beach guys were great getting us organized for a beach day, outside of that the service was lackluster. The front desk always had four people there in blue jackets and the first time someone acknowledged me or asked how my trip was going was when I checked out. Th is place just doesn’t screen 5 star luxury, but the price does. Overall I was disappointed and felt like it was not worth the almost 1,000 usd a night price.

The hotel is beautiful and is in a nice location right across the street from the beach, but not worth the price. The spa amenties weren't as nice as I thought they'd be from looking at services online. The pool is much smaller and more shallow than it looks in pictures. Breakfast isn't included.

Cons are the beach area is the beginning of Ipanema beach, not the safest and cleanest (I lived in Rio for 10 years). Price was a bit too high but they upgraded us to an amazing room, which was a way to feel you are getting more for your money.
