The short response to our stay at the Malta Marriott Resort & Spa is simply "Wonderful". The those wanting more detail: My wife and I stayed for 7 nights, half board, 11-18 October 2025, booked as a package through Expedia. The check-in process was professional and courteous, something common to every member of the hotel staff. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean (as was the whole hotel). New bottled water was refreshed every morning and evening, and a lovely touch was the nightly turn down service (who can say no to a chocolate on your bed!). The Hotel has two outside pools both with a bar serving food and hot and cold drinks. The real bonus is the spa which we had full use of, and paid for a 55 minute treatment which was well worth the extra payment. Each evening we ate in the main restaurant, either inside or out on the veranda with a view over St Julians Bay. The menu provided a wide choice and we were free to pick whatever took our fancy. The breakfast was served in the "marketplace" restaurant with an extensive range on offer to suit every possible taste, definitely spoilt for choice! All staff members were great, but Sandhu at breakfast did standout as "exceptional". All in all, we had a great holiday in Malta, and staying at the Marriott Resort & Spa played a large part in ensuring that was the case. Great staff, facilities, food and location.

Amazing hotel - newly renovated- amazing facilities- excellent service. Met the general manager Alex walking about the place who came over to ask how we were getting on. Plenty of sunbeds and none of this reserving sunbeds early with towels like we saw at Hilton Malta . Will definitely be back - don’t hesitate and book this hotel :) loved it

Far from a 5 star experience. Staff have clearly no training in hospitality. They are annoyed and unwilling to help with basic requests. At the breakfast buffet every other plate and cup was visibly dirty. Things that should be kept cold for food safety had no signs of cooling. But food safety standards might be a more widespread issue in Malta as I got terrible food poisoning from a restaurant not at the hotel while there.

I will always return to the Marriott Malta, it seems to get better every time I go back. The manager and their team are really committed to an exceptional guest experience and go above and beyond to ensure everyone is happy. The property itself is clean, well maintained and has excellent housekeeping team - the facilities are upgraded and the overall vibe is of serene and calm.

Warm welcome and helpfulness/politeness of the staff. Constantly cleaned in all areas. The facilities were really good and available anytime I needed them. Bedroom was large, clean and the shower gave a constant flow and temperature no matter what time of day.

Helhetsintrycket av hotellet är att det är fräscht, städat, snyggt och välorganiserat. Bra nivå på personalen som förstår service och bra bemötande. God frukostbuffé som höll en bra standard. Rummet städades på morgonen men även under dagen och nytt vatten på flaska lämnades flertalet gånger under vår vistelse, vilket uppskattas mycket!

Prachtige kamers. Zeer proper hotel waar je letterlijk van de vloer zou kunnen eten. Personeel ongelooflijk vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Enig minpuntje maar dat neemt niet de uitstekende score weg is dat de temperatuur van het douchewater schommelde van koud naar warm tijdens gebruik.

Wonderful hotel in a lovely little bay with plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes on the doorstep. Hotel is clean, staff friendly and rooms comfortable. Pool is a great size, comfotable sunbeds and great pool bar food and service. Rooms are well maintained throughout the day with cleaning and turn down service.

Stayed in the hotel for a week and generally loved it. Beautiful hotel, rooms recently renovated to a very high standard, fancy rooftop pool with bar (second larger ourdoor pool not open in off season), fancy indoor pool and spa, staff could not do enough for you, would defo go back. Couple of VERY small knitpicky things could really elevate the hotel if addressed: breakfast selection was very big, but for me the quality of what I would eat for breakfast wasn't great and despite the mammoth choice I didn't really want anything on offer. When returning I would probably book room only and head out to one of the many cafes and bakeries for a pastry. Drink wise at the pool bar soft drinks were not kept refrigerated, so you get a warm drink with rapidly melting ice that was soon flat. The bathrooms had a seperate huge corner bath and shower, however the shower was quite small, think banging your elbows against the wall while washing your hair. Also there was a huge rainfall shower head centred in the shower ceiling, but as the shower was so small you couldn't step out from under it to wash yourself. My preference would have been for a larger shower and smaller bath, as I think most people would. The rooms have new large smart tvs, but only bbc news in English, and the Marriott streaming process doesn't work. You can however log into netflix on the tv. Finally the hotel is very well located right on the bay at St Julian's, but the road outside is extremely busy and noisy.

Nice hotel and the recent refurb seems to be good. The toilet in the room was separate from the bathroom, which is nice, but was in a tiny space...Other than that it was a good sized, nicely done room. All the staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was fine, good range, nice bread. I like the little spa place which seem to remain quiet enough - so that little pool was quite chilled. Parking is convenient and easy. All in - we liked the hotel, would be happy to use it again.

Deluxe Room, King Bed, Non Smoking, Sea View (Balcony) Refurbished in 2019. Good quality materials, fixtures and fittings. Very clean. Very helpful lovely staff. Nice large room and bathroom with bath and shower, and separate toilet. USB-A charging outlet bedside. Room service daily and evenings. Complimentary bottled water daily. Small fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Standard hotel electronic combo safe. Hair dryer. Iron and ironing board. Nice wardrobes. Towels, flannels, robes and slippers provided. Great view over Balluta Bay from room and balcony. Nice size balcony, but only chairs and table (no loungers.) Nice fitness centre (gym.) Only very small criticisms I can make are: 1. No handset in shower. 2. Taps in bath and shower are ordinary mixer taps, which means when someone in another room turns on their cold tap then your shower loses cold and gets very hot, and vice versa. No handset in shower. 2. Taps in bath and shower are ordinary mixer taps, which means when someone in another room turns on their cold tap then your shower loses cold and gets very hot, and vice versa. Perfect room, great view of the bay. The hotel is perfectly located for all amenities nearby and a short 15 minutes walk to Silema port gives you access to Valletta as well. Plenty of options at breakfast too.

The hotel was fabulous our Club room was huge and overlooking the large swimming pool at the back, the staff were amazing and the breakfast. Lovely spa and M club was a great extra I would definitely recommend this hotel if you go to Malta. The only thing we didn’t like was our room 2017 had an internal door that you could hear the neighbours talking everything so it wasn’t soundproofed at all, that was not great especially when they were watching tv till 3 am these doors should definitely be changed!

We had an excellent 5 day break at the Malta Marriott. The rooftop pool and the spa are really well appointed as was the bedroom and everything else. The staff were warm and very helpful. However, we booked a room with a pool view (balcony). Below is a photo from inside the room. The view was predominantly street/city view with apartments opposite in close view (both ways). The street extended to the right. To the left you can just about catch a glimpse a view of the Lido pool. The overall experience is of a street view. I brought this to the attention of the Reservations desk. They tried to change our room but could not because the Hotel was almost fully booked. I left it with them. After a couple of days I again brought them matter this time to the attention of the Customer Relations desk in the foyer. This time a room change was not appropriate as we had only one day of our stay left. I don't believe that this was an adequate response from a quality hotel. I would suggest that the management immediately reconsider the designation of room 738 as a Pool View.

Everything was great: The service at breakfast and the M Club, cleaning and even very fast fixing something in the room. We really enjoyed the stay. BUT: The very last moment while checking out, the receptionist (woman, 8am, Aug. 21) was not friendly, you have to ask for everything and no questions from her how your stay was or not thanking us that we spent our vacation there. It would be very unfair to give just 3 stars for the service only just because of her, but I would give only her 1 star. Very unfortunate for the hotel that the overall performance was marred by one person.

The short response to our stay at the Malta Marriott Resort & Spa is simply "Wonderful". The those wanting more detail: My wife and I stayed for 7 nights, half board, 11-18 October 2025, booked as a package through Expedia. The check-in process was professional and courteous, something common to every member of the hotel staff. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean (as was the whole hotel). New bottled water was refreshed every morning and evening, and a lovely touch was the nightly turn down service (who can say no to a chocolate on your bed!). The Hotel has two outside pools both with a bar serving food and hot and cold drinks. The real bonus is the spa which we had full use of, and paid for a 55 minute treatment which was well worth the extra payment. Each evening we ate in the main restaurant, either inside or out on the veranda with a view over St Julians Bay. The menu provided a wide choice and we were free to pick whatever took our fancy. The breakfast was served in the "marketplace" restaurant with an extensive range on offer to suit every possible taste, definitely spoilt for choice! All staff members were great, but Sandhu at breakfast did standout as "exceptional". All in all, we had a great holiday in Malta, and staying at the Marriott Resort & Spa played a large part in ensuring that was the case. Great staff, facilities, food and location.

Had another excellent stay at hotel. Highly visible management team ensure that high standards are maintained for guests. We stayed in a room with Mclub access and enjoyed using the lounge area, pre-dinner drinks and canapés are a lovely touch. New pool area is very clean and well organised, we especially liked that every lounger had access to shading umbrellas. The umbrellas had call buttons on them to call waiting team ensuring that guests had easy access to food and drinks when you wanted without having to catch staff as they passed. Hotel is very convenient for the efficient local bus service and the restaurants in the surrounding areas. Would highly recommended and will definitely return.

We stayed here as a family (my husband, our baby, and I) and I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced. Despite having four rainy days in Malta, we didn’t mind spending most of our time at the hotel—it was that good. We had access to the M Lounge, which I highly recommend. It’s absolutely worth paying a little extra for. Throughout the day, there were refreshments including soft drinks, water, teas, coffee, muffins, fruit, and biscuits. From 17:00–19:00, a wonderful selection of small bites was served, such as delicious curries (chickpea, lentil, and even octopus on one evening), tarts, salads, charcuterie, fruit salads, and desserts. The staff were exceptional—always warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make every guest’s stay special. A special mention goes to Sanju, who greeted us so warmly every morning and even offered us porridge for our baby, despite it not being a menu item. A really thoughtful touch was when we arrived on my husband’s birthday. After checking in and going out for a few hours, we returned to find a card, dessert, and a bottle of prosecco waiting in our room. Outstanding hotel - most staff excellent, rooms, pool, lounge all superb Breakfast is excellent in the lounge and main breakfast area, staff are really receptive with gluten-free toast and GF Maltese sausages cooked especially when not on the menu one day! The Atrio restaurant, unfortunately, fell well short of the hotel's top-level standards. There was a 90-minute wait for food, and when it eventually arrived, the pasta and steak were overcooked, the salmon steak was tiny and overcooked, and everything was certainly overpriced for what it was. Staff were too embarrassed to even apologise for the delays, many others in the restaurant were complaining - maybe it was a bad night?

The bartender was also working at the rooftop pool bar the following day and made a special birthday cocktail for me. I wish I remembered his name. Anthony at breakfast always took care of us and made sure to check in us and offer insight on where to go and how to get there. The concierge who was very patient and called around to make bookings for my birthday dinner at the last minute. Thank you to the staff at the resort for making sure I had cake on my birthday. You were super. My only downside was the toilet door being very difficult to open. We got stuck a few times. But the overall experience was amazing.

Staff could not do enough for you and were so attentive. Just be prepared to pay 50 Euros per person per night as a charge when you check in should you order anything. That took us a bit by surprise. The hotel is located in a lovely location, with great restaurants and you’re literally 20mins away from all the attractions. Nothing but great service at every point I spoke to someone. The lifts are brilliant and efficient. You’ll see what I mean when you use them. Highly recommended.

Overall the Hotel was excellent. Sea view was a little restricted and the Sun leaves the balcony very early. Pool bar was closed due being out of season. However, staff were fantastic, roof pool and terrace as well as indoor pool were very nice. Public areas all very nice. Location very good for nearby food drink and public transport although road is rather busy/noisy.

The short response to our stay at the Malta Marriott Resort & Spa is simply "Wonderful". The those wanting more detail: My wife and I stayed for 7 nights, half board, 11-18 October 2025, booked as a package through Expedia. The check-in process was professional and courteous, something common to every member of the hotel staff. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean (as was the whole hotel). New bottled water was refreshed every morning and evening, and a lovely touch was the nightly turn down service (who can say no to a chocolate on your bed!). The Hotel has two outside pools both with a bar serving food and hot and cold drinks. The real bonus is the spa which we had full use of, and paid for a 55 minute treatment which was well worth the extra payment. Each evening we ate in the main restaurant, either inside or out on the veranda with a view over St Julians Bay. The menu provided a wide choice and we were free to pick whatever took our fancy. The breakfast was served in the "marketplace" restaurant with an extensive range on offer to suit every possible taste, definitely spoilt for choice! All staff members were great, but Sandhu at breakfast did standout as "exceptional". All in all, we had a great holiday in Malta, and staying at the Marriott Resort & Spa played a large part in ensuring that was the case. Great staff, facilities, food and location.

The room was clean and the cleaning service was great. However, the breakfast was cold. We had to go to Hilton on two occasions to have breakfast. More options, better service. I recommend going over to check their breakfast setting. All hotel staff were warm and very friendly

Lovely staff and spotlessly clean everywhere. The facilities are fantastic. We had a club room overlooking the bay and enjoyed the view from our balcony. The club lounge is an excellent facility where you have access to a comfy air conditioned space and outside areas, refreshments and bowl food and alcoholic beverages in the evenings. The only negatives were the lack of storage space in our room and the breakfast in the club lounge was awful. I would suggest management turn up unannounced and try it all as it was unacceptably bad.

I had a great week of vacation in Saint Julian’s Marriott. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. I felt well respected and taken care of. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent throughout my stay. The Club lounge is fantastic with great views and food/drinks always available. I would like to thank the whole staff for making my stay five stars! See you next time.

Marriott Resort & Spa Sliema was incredible. Great facilities and the staff were helpful, friendly, polite and accommodating. Location is great too, Sliema has everything within a 20 minute walk. The hotel is family friendly whilst also having adult only facilities and it juggles both perfectly. The breakfast options in the restaurant are vast and has plenty to appease even the fussiest of eaters. Also a very special shout out to the chef at the egg counter, he was not only a great chef who somehow managed to handle 6 orders at once flawlessly but did so with a smile. It was also nice to see the hotel manager occasionally doing tours of the hotel and talking to guests. Next time I'm visiting Malta I will stay here again, no doubt about it.

Great offering from Marriot - the club lounge is great - although too many kids - maybe have one side for adults? Road outside a little noisy - so go for a high floor. Breakfast in M club lounge is great and the staff working in the M Lounge were the highlight - so polite, helpful and kind!

Outstanding hotel - most staff excellent, rooms, pool, lounge all superb Breakfast is excellent in the lounge and main breakfast area, staff are really receptive with gluten-free toast and GF Maltese sausages cooked especially when not on the menu one day! The Atrio restaurant, unfortunately, fell well short of the hotel's top-level standards. There was a 90-minute wait for food, and when it eventually arrived, the pasta and steak were overcooked, the salmon steak was tiny and overcooked, and everything was certainly overpriced for what it was. Staff were too embarrassed to even apologise for the delays, many others in the restaurant were complaining - maybe it was a bad night?

Room was spacious with two queen size beds, bath and separate shower in bathroom separate wc. Filter water for drinking dispensed from tap was an amazing idea so no need to buy water. We ate at all restaurants our favourite was the villa, cocktails, food and ambience was wonderful. Sea view was a bit disappointing as we were in a corner room and it was something we paid for. Also some guests were reserving subbed with towels early doors. However, we always found subbed available at the family pool if there were none available at the adults pool. Good choice for breakfast, great location and staff friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time.

Amazing Hotel. From the helpful staff to the rooftop pool to the gym/sauna/steam room. Everything was great. My room was a city facing view that looked over at the Lido so it was sometimes a bit loud from the dinner buffet events they had on, but otherwise a really great clean hotel. Roof top pool is a decent size with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. I didn't use the second pool as it was always full with the families/kids which helped keep the rooftop generally chill. The restaurant is great with plenty of options and lots of GF options too which was great including complimentary bread and dessert options.

Travelled on a business trip, so didn’t have a chance to check out pools and spa. But the bedroom was excellent. Spotlessly clean. Drinking water tap in the bathroom. Very comfortable bed and pillows.
