I thought the location was excellent and the fact that the water taxi pulls right up to the door so if you need to go anywhere buy water taxi it’s available. Staff was excellent. The hotel was clean. The food was amazing and they had an awesome view on the rooftop

Værelset var fint, godt ret stort (på kortet kunne vi se at vi havde fået det største af vores type værelse - der er forskellige størrelser pga. de gamle bygninger). Fint rent og personalet var søde og hjælpsomme. Vi havde bestilt 2 singles - og hver dag blev sengene sat sammen til en dobbelt seng og vi måtte tage dem fra hinanden igen. Mærkelig ikke at lade det stå. Bort set fra myg var det som det skulle være. Tagterrassen som de pryder sig med ville jeg dog ikke give meget for. Træet er rådden og udenfor sæsonen bliver der ikke gjort noget særligt der. Fint hotel, men lige midt i turistfælderne - det har sine plusser og minusser.

The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were large and gorgeous. Spotless, view of the canal and gondolas going by. Quiet at night. Hotel staff were excellent, making arrangements for pickup and water taxi to the hotel, and water taxi to airport. Helped with luggage. Boat dock on site. Perfect stay.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. The service was excellent and they are so pleasant. The rooftop bar was the cherry on top....fun atmosphere with great music, drinks and snacks. Loved it!!

Our stay was average at best, especially considering the price per night stay. There is a terrible sulfur-like (rotten egg, sewage) smell in the lobby that permeates through the first floor of the hotel, unfortunately our room was on the first floor. The hotel also boasts a roof-top bar, but in reality there is access to the roof but drinks must be brought up by guests from the lobby bar, no staff or bartending. Lastly, despite keeping windows closed there were fruit flies and gnats that would appear seemingly out of nowhere. Location to heavily trafficked tourist spots like San Marco and Rialto are the only benefit of staying here.

Rooms are nice and being cleaned when you are not there. Staff is very nice and helpful. Elevator is a life saver. Restorant is very nice. It is in the middle of this beautiful city (between Marco and Realto) but be prepared that you will have to walk to this hotel for five minutes with your luggage to get there so make sure you have a map how to get there. It is very nice after all.

Great stay at an amazing location. Situated exactly half way between st marks square and the Rialto bridge. Wonderful hotel. Wish the roof terrace was open but the brilliant barman DEV allowed us to take a drink up there anyway and ensured we were served. Excellent service, brilliant espresso martini from dev (and my standards are high). . Thank you

I’ve stayed at hotels in Milan and Rome and this hotel in Venice was the best one. Room was spacious. Breakfast buffet had great quality food. The best part was they had housekeeping twice a day, so our room was always clean and had fresh towels! Never seen that anywhere else, even in the US. Will definitely come back to this hotel whenever I visit Venice.

The check-in was wonderful and smooth, and a gentleman helped us up to our room and set the heater for us and explained everything. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom and plenty of space for two people with a view of the canal.. We enjoyed the bar area and sitting area after having a nice dinner in the city center.. lots of nice areas to sit and relax. The hotel was very well located near San Marcos Square with minimal walking and right next to all the wonderful shopping… the breakfast room area was very large and the staff was wonderful. The front desk staff was very helpful and very polite, and even one of the younger gentlemen offered to walk up the street to show us where a restaurant he had suggested was.. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff were great, location in the middle of everything, breakfast good, lots of restaurants all around, room had some issues that I reported to front desk…black mold in bathroom, non working lamps and wall switch next to bed, no heat. It was 49 F out and front desk said heat was off because not season yet so room was chilly, they offered extra blanket. Water taxi to hotel canal dock except at high tide, otherwise porter service available and walk to main canal area. Water taxi 90 Euro, porter to transport luggage 20 Euro, so expensive, no car or road access, it’s Venice.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Our room was also very nice, and clean. We loved the color scheme, in both the bedroom and the bathroom. We loved this place. we had 2 rooms on the same floor and we loved them both. however, in the one my kids stayed in, there were little flying bugs in the shower and bedroom. next morning, they had many bug bites. we dont know if they were bedbugs or something like this. other than this, we had an excellent time and the place is amazing. one of the prettiest hotels in venice, and extremely well located. super walkable everywhere. the hotel is better than expected

I don’t like leaving bad reviews. However, for the price point, the rooms were very outdated. I’ll start with the positive- the staff members were very nice and helpful. Location was amazing. Breakfast was just okay. Negative- how rundown the rooms are. The photos on their websites misrepresents the rooms. We had booked a queen bed- we got two twin beds attached together…. The bathtub was yellow. We requested them to change our rooms but they didn’t. We had stayed at StarHotel in Milan- and the standard is not comparable to this one. I expected more to be honest.

Our first room was small and had a view of a wall. But they changed our room to an upgraded room with a view of the canal and a larger room. Sophia and Glanda at the front desk were amazing and the servers at the delicious complimentary breakfast were all so very friendly, especially Valentina.

Located near St Marks Square, plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Black-out shades in the room were excellent so we could sleep in. Front desk argued with me about getting a fan for the room, it was in the high 90’s and the room was not very cool. Finally they sent a fan to the room, not sure why it was an issue. Not very good at restocking the coffee bar or vanity items. Great location but for the price they can do better.

Our room was not only clean but surprisingly large by European standards. Bed was quite comfortable which was a welcome surprise. Staff was friendly and helpful. Walking distance to anything you could need. Only negative, walls are quite thin. You can hear everything in the hallway. Didn’t end up being an issue. If you’re a light sleeper bring ear plugs.

This was a wonderful hotel and a great location with easy access to St Marks Square and the Rialto bridge. It was on a quiet canal and street intersection. The hotel had air conditioning and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. Very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. They also had an excellent breakfast with a great variety of food in the buffet and some made to order options (some included and some for an extra cost). We would absolutely stay here again.

Chegamos em Veneza às 10:50 da noite entramos em contato com o hotel para solicitar um transfer privado! O recepcionista nos disse que esse horário não tinha taxi boat mas na hora da reserva recebi um e-mail me passando um contato para reservar o táxi! Ai ligamos para o hotel depoisnde mil x tentado a chamada, até que alguém atende MATEO, ele disse que teríamos que pegar um ônibus, um boat, e andar mais a pé quase meia noite e esse percurso levaria 1 hora, imagina você cansado fazer isso com mala ? Loved this property. It was located so centrally to be able to see everything in Venice. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. I had 2 days in Venice and was able to see all I wanted with this central location. The restaurant has breakfast on site if you want convenience. My only complaint was the fees that were advised for a private airport transfer by hotel staff was quoted almost half of what I was charged by the company. It was definitely not inexpensive. I did verbalize my unhappiness with the inaccurate information versus the charge. The hotel was extremely apologetic and timely and did get the company to give a partial refund. However, if the pick up was before 8 am there was 60 euro more cost which was not advised which was part of the 170 euro more charged. I still am VERY thankful for their assistance in arranging all and getting partial refund. They truly were top notch customer service!

Hotel staff was great. Arranged taxi service from airport to hotel and then scheduled water taxi from hotel to train station for departure. If coming from the airport, highly recommend the taxi service, it’s a bit expensive at around $300 but worth it.

our family found the hotel and it’s staff wonderful! extremely clean and comfortable rooms. staff was fabulous! very helpful and friendly. rooftop bar not to be missed!!!breakfast buffet was best we ever had. a hotel employee Soulermai was particularly gracious and helpful! always a smile! would highly recommend the hotel and would stay there again on a future visit!!

When we arrived on Thurs evening and checked in we were shown to our room.When we unpacked it was late so wedecided to watch a bit of tv alas there was no reception and this carried on until the monday when we left all the staff kept saying was an engineer would fix it we are still waiting shocking service ,also in the restaurant my partner had a bowl of minestrone soup which looked and tasted like a bowl of dishwaterwith some vegtables in it ,the restaurant manager said he would not charge for it and offered complementary sorbets when the bill arrived they had charged 18 euros for the soup and 24 euros for the sorbet this took 3 efforts and a lot of annoyance to resolve also if you are gluten free be prepared to wait a long time for your food

I thought the location was excellent and the fact that the water taxi pulls right up to the door so if you need to go anywhere buy water taxi it’s available. Staff was excellent. The hotel was clean. The food was amazing and they had an awesome view on the rooftop

Hotel is in a fantastic location situated in the centre of Venice. A short walk to all the main points of interest. Hotel staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was lovely. Definitely recommend paying for a canal view, our room was wonderful with lovely views over the canal, even just having the window open and listening to the locals go about their daily life was great. Highly recommend it and would stay again if we're ever fortunate enough to return.

The location of the hotel is superb. Close to the main attractions but away from the crowds so it was nice and quiet. The housekeeping staff were great. They kept the room spotless and appeared to attend to the room 2-3 times a day. The only slight criticism was that the drinks and meals in the hotel restaurant were expensive even for Venice.

This was a wonderful hotel and a great location with easy access to St Marks Square and the Rialto bridge. It was on a quiet canal and street intersection. The hotel had air conditioning and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. Very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. They also had an excellent breakfast with a great variety of food in the buffet and some made to order options (some included and some for an extra cost). We would absolutely stay here again.

My stay was amazing!! I cannot say enough about the staff at The Splendid. They went over and above to help me navigate the steps needed after my passport was stolen. Calling the polizia, looking up forms to complete and allowing me use of their computer. The following day was a long one as I had to travel back and forth to Milan for a replacement, however, upon returning the beautiful room and comfortable bed helped me to end a long day in bliss!!
