Staff was very nice, however this place is old. Do NOT let the old pictures on Hotels.com fool you. The wallpaper is peeling in the room etc. The main reason for choosing this hotel was the pool, but it’s nothing like the old pictures. The pool is green, nasty, and unusable. I should have asked for a refund.

This property needs some updating. The pool was huge but the disappointment was the hot tub wasn't working & that was 1 amenity that was needed for my disabled vet husband. There needs to be a way to notify on Expedia when a hotel has something "out of service" to help in the decision process when looking for lodging. The location is great with lots of shopping & food choices nearby

Everything was broke and the gal at the front desk was annoyed she had to work! Pool broke, steam room broke. The property was a dirty place. They should be ashamed to take peoples money. Front desk personnel needs customer training.

Lower floor windows don’t lock and staff seemed to think that was normal when I asked to switch rooms. “The next room will most likely have the same problem.” Was the response I got. Had to request a second floor room.

The front desk were awesome. The room and property needs a lot of attention. Our room security latch was broken, wall paper was pulling directly off the wall. The hot tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in some time and was cold, the steam room was not functioning and many of the hotel doors into the hallways from the parking lots did not lock so they were left unlock all night.

The pool is shaded, but it appears that it hasn't been cleaned in a while. The front desk staff was very helpful. Unfortunately, we had to change rooms because our sheets had dried blood stains and brown marks, as if someone had smeared their fingers on them. I called the front desk and requested a change of sheets and covers, but they said they didn't have any available. Instead, they had us change rooms, which required us to pack up everything and move just as we were ready for bed.

First when we got there there was a roach crawling up the wall. Then our remote didn’t work, then there was as black hair all over the shower. To top it off the screen to our door wasn’t even attached! We went to go swimming and the pool was nasty AND they only gave us one wash cloth and 2 small towels! When I asked the cleaning lady she said they’re not clean so she gave us pool towels. It was pretty terrible and it was as $200!! I went to Yuma often to stay there like every other week for years, now I’m back working out there and I don’t know what happened to the place! Oh and when I called to make the reservation, they said they had a room on the first floor I could book because they weren’t busy. I told her I’d call her back with my credit card. I hen I called back it was someone else and they said they’ve been booked for weeks! What?? I don’t know very disappointed!

Room we had needed updating. For instance the bathroom door had a hole in it where a hook once was. Also, cleanliness of room was not great with dust, dirt, and sticky rings from a glass on the bedside table.

We got connecting rooms, the beds the frame sticking out and a few of us hit ourselves with it. We had to put pillows so no one would get close to it. Maybe 5 inches out the frame were sticking out from Both rooms

Close to 8 freeway at a major junction so some road noise. Recommend asking for a room overlooking pool. Shopping mall with numerous locations for food and drink 2 minute walk away so great for this.

Happy with the cost. Disappointed with wifi (didn’t work most of the time) and pool was closed (would have liked to have known ahead of our stay). Desk staff was friendly and easy access to restaurants, shopping and highway. Room was old and showing it’s wear (peeling wallpaper, broken lock and door knob). Beds were comfortable and it was clean. Dark and quiet for sleeping. Good amount of space for a family of 4 with adult sized teens. Okay for what you pay.

Not as advertised!! There is NO restaurant & NO bar. The "Free Breakfast" is a granola bar & coffee in the lobby. And wifi is so bad that we couldn't even connect through any of our devices in our room. Had to go to front desk multiple times because keys constantly stopped working. When I requested Kleenex for our room, they had none & offered me toilet paper! We will never be coming back!!

We were told we could check in at 2:30 and return at that time. Clerk contradicted earlier statement and said we had to wait till four. However 10 minutes later same Corey told us we could check in. Very confusing. Premises of this location desperately needs a facelift.

Have stayed here twice previously. This stay was disappointing. Cable tv was not working, could only get a few few channels able to watch. Required $100 deposit even though room fully paid for. No breakfast offered anymore. No info in room about wifi, tv listing, and no adequate towels or wash cloths. Night Front desk person was snippy and unfriendly as was person the next morning. Won't stay there again. Previous stays were good. The place seems to have declined recently. Will let you know if $100 deposit is not refunded. Do not recommend staying there at their over priced charges.

Alex could not been nicer! I travel about 300 days a year and top floor rooms are hard to come by for quietness. But Alex got me the room I wanted and it was perfect! Great A/C , soft bed, tv and remote worked.

The hotel was in a great location, very close to a large shopping center. Angry crab is right nextdoor. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We only stayed for one night. The hotel has a lot of potential and needs some tlc. The hot tub and swimming pool were functional and stayed open until 11pm.

It was a great location and the staff was friendly. The building was dirty and in poor condition. The continental breakfast was not at all acceptable. Stale muffins don’t qualify as a “continental breakfast!” “Shilo” used to be a very respected inn. I’ve now learned that you usually get what you pay for!

It was okay. They advise a bar and restaurant on premises but they don't have either. You have to go next door to Angry Crab which is pretty pricey. I feel they are trying to capitalize on the crab place. Breakfast is a joke!

There was no clean towels and washcloths when we requested them on our first night. Breakfast was packaged pastries all smooched and who know how old. NOTHING like the photos advertised on Expedia! Whom I have another review to add for Expedia!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE! NEVER again!

The courtyard with the pool was very nice. Room was good and location was excellent. Everything needed was walkable. What I didn't like was we had no tissues in our room, only a empty box. Also only one face cloth and hand towel, two bath towels. I went down to the front desk to ask for a face cloth. There was folded towels on a nice desk. Girl was sorry but she had run out of face vloths but gave me the last hand towel to use instead. The hotel ads says a free breakfast is served, but it consists of a few muffins and granola bars. They might want to clarify what they mean by breakfast. As is, not needed as breakfast options across the street.

Shilo is very convenient to shopping and the freeway. There are plenty of dining options nearby. However, Shilo used to be on less expensive side and now is higher and they do not provide breakfast any longer. The rooms are old/outdated. The bathrooms are tired. On this particular occasion the toilet wouldn\'t flush properly. For the amount they are charging now you would think they would undergo a renovation - update the rooms, fix the "soggy/squishy" flooring and get a more modern feel - include more USB connections etc...

The pool was down for repairs. When we booked the hotel they said they had breakfast included and when we got there they said they discontinued the breakfast. There were never enough towels or wash clothes in the room.

My 2 night stay was "okay." First of all, I want to say the front desk staff was fabulous! It was a quiet stay. BUT... Be forewarned that the property is in DIRE need of many updates. When I first arrived, the air conditioner in my room was NOT on, so my room was EXTREMELY HOT (estimated 90° plus) and it took a LONG TIME to cool down. (Maybe have hotel housekeeping go to the room and turn on the air conditioner prior to the guest arriving, so the guest is comfortablewhen they arrive?) Needless to say, I didn't sleep well my first night due to being hot. The air conditioning in the hotel itself was not working (and hasn't been working for several months), so the trek from the lobby to my room was extremely HOT, including the lobby, hallways, and elevator. The temperature outside was 110°+, so the temperature inside the hotel was ballpark 90-95°! This is just not acceptable. Please do better, hotel owners/operators.

The person at front desk is polite and doing his job. The hotel is abandoned. Dark hallways, hot hallways, hot elevators, old and dilapidated. Once a beautiful property but scary and would not recommend anybody staying. Needs serious renovation.
