Pool was out of service

Nice room and safe area. Easy and safe, interesting 20 minute walk to beach. But we didn't know there were renovations going on and it was a construction site. Outdoor Jacuzzi was closed for that reason. Once renovations are finished it should be a nice choice.

Place is under construction. Hot tub out of order.

The only fly in the ointment is that the hotel is being renovated and the gym cannot be used.

Charged for parking even tho website stated it was free and included with hotel price. $40 for our stay.

Maintenance isn't great. Stayed here 2 weeks ago and the ice maker broke. Still was not fixed 2 weeks later. Had an ocean view room but the windows were really dirty so couldn't really see.

I traveled from Redding to Manhattan Beach the only reason I got this hotel because of their hot tub why I should have to the property they said they're hot tub was not working main reason I got the hotel was for that reason was asking about a discount so pretty disappointed

Property has a great location, but our room was unfortunately very dirty.

Carpets filthy. Cheap towels and amenities. Breakfast poor. Powdered eggs. Elevator had construction torch for light. Worst place ever. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

Dirty and poor room quality

This place is absolutely disgusting, DO NOT STAY. Stains on the sheets, mould in the bathroom, suspicious splatter all over the curtains, the room smelled like years of cigarettes masked with cleaning product…absolutely horrific. We checked in, walked to our room and immediately checked out. The reception staff didn’t even question us about leaving, so this obviously happens a lot. This place needs demolishing and building from the ground up. Avoid at all costs.

Worst experience ever..its smells like a homeless shelter with mold in the bathroom and water dripping from the faucet..for the money they charge they could upgrade the place...then 10 dollars a night to park..for 50 bucks more you could stay at another hotel well worth it.

The road noise is not great and the hotel is still having work done in so some areas are not in great condition. I specifically booked her because of the images suggesting a larger bathtub and quiet but it was not the case. Middling experience at best.

The lobby looks nice and clean, and it’s clear the hotel is in the middle of a renovation. Unfortunately, the rooms haven’t been updated yet, and it shows. Ours had a musty, damp smell that didn’t go away, even with the door open — though the street noise made that trade-off unpleasant. The carpet felt damp and dirty, so I avoided going barefoot. The king bed was comfortable, but the pillows were overly thick. The sofa had a noticeable stain on the cushion, so I had to request extra towels just to sit on it. Only two thin towels were provided initially. The sofa bed sheets had yellow stains, and when I asked for fresh ones, I was given a rollaway mattress instead — which also had uncomfortable springs and didn’t sleep well. The bathroom was disappointing: peeling wallpaper, dirty-looking corners, and overall poor upkeep made it feel unclean. Breakfast was a nice option to have, and I appreciated the inclusion of protein items like egg bites and sausage, though they weren’t very good (powdery eggs and overcooked meat). There were also waffles, toast, bagels, and yogurt — enough to grab something quick before heading out. Parking was available, which I appreciated, and the location is convenient — close to Trader Joe’s, Starbucks, and a 15-minute walk to the beach. Just note that the hotel is right on a busy street

Staff was very nice and the place was very clean. Breakfast didn’t have much of a selection but the few things they had were good. We had a good time.

The property is a little less than a mile from the beach (the view rooms can see the ocean, but it's not oceanfront). The walk is nice, but coming back it is uphill a bit. There was a $10/day parking (covered). There's a Trader Joes very close.

I stayed on the third floor and had a king suite, so the room was huge. I had a view of the ocean and a small kind of balcony although there's no seating. It's about a 15-minute walk down to the pier with a lot of dining options on the way. There's a Starbucks right next door as well and at trader Joe's. Parking is pretty convenient. Staff were pretty friendly.

I would have like the drapes to shut. It was hard to sleep with the street light shining in

Decent hotel. Staff was super friendly. Everything was great except the location makes it loud and the toilet leaked which drove my husband crazy

Had to check.out after 1 night because the property was dated, water had come into the room from the balcony and carpet was wet, the internet was slow, and the TVs were old among other things.

Light in room did not always work. I walked into a dark room trying to turn on the light switch. I had to walk over to the bed lamp for light. Then I realized the room does not have a blackout curtain but a then see through curtain. Glad I brought an eye mask as the sun was bright at 8am. The door to the balcony was broken and very hard to open or close. This room should be out of service. I would give them a 1 star but the staff was friendly and nice.

Ongoing construction in the corridors was quite noisy and disruptive. The cleanliness of the rooms also fell short of expectations. Parking is ample and convenient, though it comes at an extra cost. The breakfast area offers a charming outdoor terrace, but the buffet selection is very limited. The staff were excellent—friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. Given the current state of the rooms and breakfast offerings, the rates feel a bit steep for what’s on offer.

Almost no wifi

The property is close to the event I attended. It has easy access to shopping and restaurants. I would have liked getting the room I was shown on my reservation, but it was not ready. I ended up in a handicapped room at the top of a stairwell, with no elevator services. Also, there was no mention of parking fees until after the check-in process was completed.

My husband & I both thought that the wonderful, sweet and lovely (what perfectly done make up!) Irma in the breakfast room was just the best hostess. She was so helpful to everyone there at breakfast and she just exudes goodness. You are so lucky to have her work there.

I arrived around 3am and the receptionist at the desk seemed to be on drugs. He was laughing and snoring to himself for a good 2 minutes before noticing I was standing in front of him. He seemed like a tweaker or something. Not a very safe environment

Even though the property is undergoing some Reno, it was perfect for us. The room was huge-quiet, clean and well-maintained. Ease of parking great. The breakfast is wonderful! Had a wonderful time overall. Our front office staff: Marie, Harrison and (a gal I’m sorry I don’t remember her name) were fantastic. And Angie is very nice and a joy to have working the breakfast room. 😀 The walkability to local places is a 10.

I got notified 2 days before arrival that the lift is out of action so i couldn't book elsewhere with the notification time frame. The lift was out of action from 21 September so why take 12 days to notify me? Carrying bags up 3 flights is no fun!

We had a good stay. This Hotel is under constructions, and you can smell the old with the new so at times that was unpleasant. I would have to open the patio door to not come back to the mildew smell. I want to talk about the employee (female) that serviced us breakfast every day. She was absolutely amazing, and I appreciated her every day and she brought a smile to myself, and my girls faces. We were there for Nationals for Beach Volleyball and whether she knew it or not, she was so helpful, kind, considerate every day. Our stay was for 7 days. Her consistency was so appreciated, and she treated every person this way. She smiled, was never rude and just a wonderful person. Please make sure she reads this; I hate that I never got her Name! The front desk was always pleasant along with any of the Maids we said hello to or needed something from. Regardless of the condition of the Hotel right now, it was cleaned, organized and the workers were wonderful people

The elevator was not working and despite asking for a room on a lower floor they put us on the top. Such a hassle with luggage. They did not clean the room once during our 4 night stay. Dirty place.

The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. Close to beach, next to Starbucks and Trader Joe’s. Beds were comfortable. We didn’t hear our neighbors. The only downside was they were painting and doing renovations so we couldn’t use the hot tub which was one of the reasons we booked this motel.

Great room and close to quite a bit of shopping and dining options. It's about a mile to walk to Hermosa Beach but it's a quick and easy walk. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff was friendly and helpful. They are in the the process of a remodel which is needed. Good location, walking distance to Hermosa pier.

Decent standard room, clean hotel , on a busy corner but good location to pier and beach. Offers free breakfast. Parking under building or back of hotel for $10. Would return.

The hotel is close to the beach, Starbucks, shopping area and freeway access. Great location in the South Bay.

It is only a 17 minute walk to Hermosa pier and beach. There is much to do around here

Very convenient location, nice walk to the beach and Trader Joe's is right there for snacks and water. The room was quiet and comfortable. It was a little outdated but we really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend it.

Elevator was broken but the staff was very kind and offered free parking for the inconvenience. I am able bodied and it wasn’t a big deal but this would be highly problematic for someone disabled. Beyond that it’s great value and location and the beds are really comfy!

Great location, with great price.

In general hotel delivers as aspected from the price point, good hotel. The service in breakfast was really bad, lady was rude to several guest. Picked away breakfast before closing time and when a guest asked for it just stated "we closing" even if it was 5 minutes left to grab a sandwich. This is only one example.

The place is nice, like that the rooms have been redone. Would have been nice to know that most of the property is under construction. The outdoor hot tub is closed, and there is construction happening on the lobby, the hallways, and breakfast area so right now the breakfast room is TINY. not enough places to sit to eat and only one woman manning the food so everything is constantly out. Breakfast would be nice to have a couple more options and to be restocked more often. At least my hallway on floor one had unpainted drywall and plastic on the floor. So careful not to lean on the wall or you will get white powder from the drywall all over your clothes. One perk, is they have a covered parking garage and I bet this place will be super nice once construction is actually complete.

Property was under construction and I didn't know that when we booked the room. It was strange that they offer parking at $10 per night when the parking lot is connected and part of the hotel. We did ask for a late check out for 1130 to 12 they charged us $10. The breakfast area was stocked well and comfortable and the breakfast staff named Angeles was awesome. She provided us with answers to questions about the area things to do, etc. She is a great staff and is very dedicated to her job there at the hotel. The person that received us at our first night at 1 AM was great. She was helpful and very friendly.. the reverse side of the curtain in our room was disgusting seriously full of a massive amount of dust which I think I got hives from. You can't see it unless you look at it through/from the outside window looking in it's horrible. A little outdated, but overall the room was clean. The bathmat was also disgusting. It was a good rate for the area if these two things were fixed, the overall experience would've been perfect especially for the price. There were two small bottles of Fiji water on the shelf that were marked for over five dollars apiece. I think that maybe they could put cheaper water and just make two bottles complementary would've made it nice. I also was not offered a chance to join their rewards program. Which I might've signed up for.
