Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino

Parking was easy and well lite. The staff was very friendly and helpful

We enjoy our 2 days at the hotel the only thing if I had to complain is the lack of cart to transport our belongings from the car to room and the same at check out. Not one cart was available @ 6:00 am. We had to request towels for our second night

This casino hotel is not connected to the casino because the casino is the old original riverboat actually on the Illinois River. The casino is a short 2 block walk from the hotel. There is a shuttle van available. The room was a larger than normal size room with 2 queen beds. It was very clean and everything worked well. The water pressure was good and the bedding was clean and made sleeping easy. The ice machine on the floor worked as did the in-room mini-fridge. There is a safe in the room. The Wi-Fi was good. Checking in was weird. The check-in time was 4pm. We were early so we decided to see if the room was ready. We got to the check-in counter at 2:53pm and they said they have a $25 early check-in fee for any time prior to 3pm. We decided to wait the 7 minutes. We unloaded and I parked the car and then checked in at 3pm! There were about 5 other groups also waiting for the 3pm check-in in time. Since the hotel is right on the river, you may experience evening swarming of Mayflies. They are attracted to lights and light colors. They are harmless, but did freak out some people. See the picture. The bar in the lobby did not appear to be open. At least it was closed at 10:30pm on a Saturday night. We had a nice stay and I would recommend it.

Love staying here. My only complaint is I’ve stayed here 2x in the last month and each time they were down to one working elevator. Both stays were on a weekend also.

Second time and amazing as always. There’s always one elevator broken so that’s annoying but we get over it

Everything was looking good and was good until I woke up in the morning with my legs completely covered in bedbug bites. I’m not the one to report anything to authority if things are taken care of. Please, I can’t remember my room number but it was the second floor. Take care of the infestation before someone will report you to the health authorities

I had read the reviews about the unclean rooms but obviously the property didn’t. Our windows are and bathroom mirror was covered with a film of white. It looks like they tried but failed to completely clean them. The desk had a glass top that had a layer of dust on top. My husband had to pick a couple things up off the floor. It definitely needs some attention.

Clean room and comfortable beds.

Cleanliness of the room (more so of bathroom) was the bigest downfall. Bed was comfortable, room had plenty of space, good channel selection on the TV... that was about it. Shower was dirty, toilet was dirty, shower did not dran so you were standing 2 inches of water. Atvleast it was hot water, nonissue there. Although the room as a whle was spacious, the shower was definitely not.

The room was not very clean and there was hair in the shower. The hotel looks old and worn out with a lot of deferred maintenance.

Our room was dirty. There was a layerbof dust over everything. The bathroom trash had garbage in it when we arrived. The fridge was dirty.

When we arrived, the staff was extremely friendly/quick in getting us checked in. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, but our room smelled like smoke. When we told the front desk, they said they weren't going to move us to a new room, but they would "spray the room" while we were out to dinner. When we came back, the room didn't smell any different.

The bed was so uncomfortable that I could barely walk the next morning. We were there for 2 nights and neither of us slept the first night and hurt so bad the next day. The mini fridge in the room did not work.

The bed was sooooo uncomfortable. Our backs and necks hurt and we barley got any sleep.

Lady who checked us in was not friendly at all and seemed bothered. Room smelled like weed. People running up and down the halls all night screaming.

Our air conditioner did not work, the sink did not drain in the bathroom, the handle on the shower unit fell off, and the elevator broke on the last day. Only one elevator out of two was working the first couple of days.

Door to bathroom had very loud rub/screech - could not open and close during the night for fear of waking my husband. Room cleaning/make beds and fresh towels is not performed daily. Had to unplug refrigerator due to very loud hum.

The room was big with plenty of room to move around. The King bed was very comfortable. There is a fridge in the room but no microwave. But there is a microwave by the ice machine. We are definitely going back.

The property was great. The person who checked me in was the problem. When I checked in I was given no help. I was not told where the restaurant was, I walked all around and finally went back to the desk to be told the restaurant was at the casino. Also was not informed that there was a shuttle to take you to the casino.

Had booked 2 queens and were given a single. Staff remedied the situation quickly.

Lady at check in not nice and was rude

Needed to check in 1 hr early to attend a family gathering. Got told charge is $25 for any check in before 4pm. They were not busy nor sold out. Shower head pressure was so light could hardly feel it and it took longer to shower.

Was not thrilled with amenities, absolutely could NOT check in until 3, 1 of the ladies at the front desk was a bit abrupt and rude, no place to get coffee at 8 am unless you wanted to go on the boat.

The staff and facilities were fine. My complaint is with the company's check in policies. We arrived at 2:30 pm and were told our rooms were ready, but if we wanted to check in it would be $25 a piece extra. We declined; we were there for fun and in no hurry. We came back at 4:15 and the lines to check in were out the door. Only two clerks working the desk on a Saturday couldn't keep up. If folks had been able to check in earlier, it would have been a little less congestedThen, all three or four of the luggage carts were being used and/or not returned. So we two senior citizen couples stood in a long line and then carried luggage, enough for our two day stay. We didn't struggle as much as the man carrying baggage for his family of five however. Also, because the clerks were so harried, we weren't made aware of the coffee available in the lobby. If you're going to charge ridiculous fees, then use that money for more staff and more carts.

This was the rudest staff of any hotel I’ve ever been to. I waited hours for them to bring me towels for my shower, which I ended up going to get myself. The front desk clerk and manager were by far the two rudest women I’ve encountered.

Just stayed one night during the week so it wasn't busy. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Shuttle back and forth across the parking lot to the casino seemed to take a little while to arrive each time but was an easy way to get back and forth in the cold. Everyone was friendly.

Super fast check-in and opportunity to stay on highest floor, beautiful view of the river and city.

Excellent location, just off the interstate and having a casino across the street is an added bonus!

Very nice hotel. Everything was a bit pricey, and no complementary breakfast. The bed and pillows were the best! Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Restaurants were great but you had to walk accross the street to get to them, they're not in the hotel. That said, the Steak house food was delicious and our server Carla was fabulous! The hotel itself was ok, 2 elevators but only one working, the room & hotel was clean & neat, staff was very friendly. My only big disappointment was that there was no fresh coffee or condiments, only powdered cream and coffee out of a machine. Please set up a fresh coffee station especially since there is no restaurant in the hotel to go to without going outside. Thank you!

No food service. There’s only an evening bar and morning coffee on the premises of the actual hotel. Have to go to the casino building for food.

Hotel was great. However there is absolutely NO food or restaurants at the hotel! I even lost $2 in the vending machine! I would suggest at least a continental breakfast of donut or pastry. To have nothing available is totally unacceptable! ! The hotel is clean , rooms are safe & spacious!

The Par-a-dice is a great hotel. Very clean and friendly staff. William Bs steakhouse is awesome! Casino was a great time!

This property is affiliated with the casino across the parking lot. The restaurants that the hotel says are part of it are actually in the casino across the way (if you don’t want to walk there - 5 minutes - there is a shuttle). The hotel has a bar that, for some reason, displays a lot of alcohol but serves only coffee. I don’t understand nor have I looked into it. Having said that, it’s affordable, clean with excellent rooms. Pretty quiet also. The staff is friendly and professional. There are 3 places to eat in the casino. I’ve tried only the Tin Lizard, which has a sports bar feel to it though it caters to more than sports folks and gamblers. Lots of locals show up there. The food is tasty with a good variety. I’ve had wings, burgers, chicken breasts, salads. All to my satisfaction. I did see someone else send back a brisket dish - you can’t win them all. The robot food runner is a hoot. But there is a steakhouse for the heavier fare and a deli for the lighter stuff. If you need to shop or want different food there is a sports bar across the street - along with a liquor store. 5 min up the road is a shopping center to take care of whatever you need or replace whatever you forgot. 2 min further is a grocery store and Starbucks. I come to Peoria often and stay at Par-A-Dice frequently. I’ve been pretty happy there. It’s in the right location for me and is the best value I’ve come across. Forgot to mention - the onsite gym is adequate. Gets the job done

No food on site. Had to walk to the casino. Bar in hotel was closed also.

I would give it 5 stars but the bar onsite was closed . No breakfast available. Otherwise nice hotel , great Thin Lizard restaurant with live music and good food . Very good drinks .

The hotel was clean and welcoming. The restaurant, The Lux, in the boat casino was good also. Will return.
